Botting is having a program that automatically refreshes the page over and over again, faster than a human could do it manually. It basically a way to "cheat" to get gold fast.

There are also bots that automatically fill in the spaces needed to buy things in the vend. (Ex: Instead of clicking the link and typing in your password, all you have to do is click the link and you automatically buy the item.) Again, its purpose is to allow you to be faster than anyone else.

Sounds like it's for a robot to do that or something. Too bad botting is isn't legal in Gaia. Maybe that's a good thing. Very interesting.

Yeah, bots are considered "cheating" and are a big TOS violation. What I don't get is how KC was accused of it in the first place. He's hardly been around to make any gold, let alone the obscene amounts botting can make you. The only thing I can think of is if he recieved a donation that had been "earned" through botting. Because, messed up as it sounds, if you receive botted gold, even if you didn't know it was botted, you get banned.

I've just heard people talking about them. I've also heard there's a bot that will post for you.

Bestmom Hmm I haven't heard him mention of any one donating to him??? I asked him and he said he hadn't. But seeing how backed up the mods can get with reports and bans and such, it could be a ban that's been pending for a while. So, say he received a donating a month ago, and the person who gave him the gold used a bot to get it, then KC would be banned for receiving the illegal gold.
