"Indeed."
and that set off an evening of wine, lips, tongues, and a remarkably ability to blend wine and flesh for a very wonderful and enjoyable pasttime...and once again, hoping that the warding that kept this room sound proof hadn't been worn down or faded over time.

"Yes I did Malik, thank you for asking." Lharika didn't falter at all under Malik's reproving gaze, in fact she didn't even seem to be repentant. "I couldn't reverie anymore and I was bored. But I met Broog and he made me a necklace. I wasn't in any danger." She cast a glance at Arthur and wrinkled her nose, a highly interesting scent drfting over to her. She was little and surface elven, her nose was sensitive to new smells. But she was too polite to comment and she just yawned. "But now I'll take some more reverie if you don't mind." Malik was gone and she really wasn't in any trouble. At least not that had been mentioned. "Night Isle." Pressing a kiss of affection on the older elf's cheek, she waved to Arthur and skipped off happily.
Zahara heard the knock and ignored it. She had no desire to talk to Arthur, Piper, Malik, or anyone else. She was once again sitting and staring. Things just weren't going well for her lately now were they? A shake of her head. It had to get better, it just had to. Finally she stood and opened her door intending to go do some things when a piece of fabric stopped her. She ripped it off the doorknob and walked over to the fireplace, angrily tossing it in and watching as the ends curled up and turned black then crumbled.
((Time lapse.))
Lharika had been sneaking down to talk to Broog a lot the past week. Sometimes she just watched him do his work, sometimes she shined up his metals and jewels and sometimes she just talked to him. Even if he didn't talk back, she enjoyed being around him and watching him. It was exciting to her, really. Right now she was standing there with her arms behind her back. "I've got somethin' for you Broog."
Zahara was even more miserable than she had been a week ago, if that was even possible. Most of her time had been spent with the horses the past week and she'd avoided Arthur at all costs. No need to deal with his blushes or stammering over what had happened. She was in a surly mood, at least on the outside. On the inside, she just felt...empty. Zykariel had come to visit Malikhai once during the week and she had crept out of her room and walked to the nursery just to see him. She asked him a few questions, quizzed him on what he was eating, when he was getting his reverie, basic things like that. He'd responded in the positive light, telling her he was well taken care of and she had nodded and left before she said or did something stupid. Now, she flopped back on her bed and sighed. Seemed Sevilin had things well in hand. He was right, they didn't need her.
He was sitting in the living/sitting room building a huge city with his blocks and then using Rawr to knock them over. The fun just never got old to him. The tower was progressively getting taller and taller and he reached up to stick another block on but couldnt' reach. "Daddy! I need your help 'cause I'm too short!"

Isle had been spending her week torturing Galesen in her own way and also tending to Lharika. Some days she helped Piper out wiht the horses some, other times she trained or took little short exploratory trips. She was adjusting rather well now, the mornings not being so hard on her. And now mid morning she was doing her own thing, relaxing in the sitting room by the fireplace and polishing up her sword some, humming lightly to herself. Underdark wasn't so bad.
Malikhai couldn't be happier...well maybe. There were pros and cons actually. He got to spend so much time with his father that he was up and ready to go all the time. Sure, spending time with mommy was good too, but he couldn't do all that he wanted to do...like this sword thing. Besides he was going to start his magic lessons soon and that was just as exciting as well. Sometimes him and daddy would practice making his magic wake up.
But yes, even now he was sitting on his father, all too happy to be in accompaniment to him and either follow him around mimicking him, or doing whatever fun father son thing that daddy came up with. Yup, just the boys. And daddy was so much more fun these days, but he knew that was because mommy was making him relax. Though the parents seemed to spend more evenings together lately as well. Not that he minded, after all he practically got daddy all day to himself and he needed attention, seeing as Zykariel hadn't been around as much.
Piper had indeed taken over the reins of the household, making sure things were on track and going as they needed. After all, Malik keep everything on paper so it was more or less like having written instructions. She thought she was doing pretty well. And her own things were going well too. Arthur's little stable had been built but she had made note that he still owed her money, which she would be collecting soon. Right now she didn't do more than needed...after all, she was quite sore. Between Malik and getting thrown by horses who got spooked or unsettled, she was quite the little canvas of tell tale, what with that pale skin and all. And no, Malik didn't like it...but she really only broke in horses about once a year for a few months. Zahara and Isle had helped some and Piper had attempted to breech conversation with Zahara, but it didn't go well. Piper was apprehensive about that dagger that could get shoved in her back. Currently? She was in the stables again, tacking up one of the horses. No, she didn't use tack but she trained them to be able to take commands from tack and bare back alike.
Revision after revision after revision...he was quite pissed off. He thought he could get it on first go, but that didn't work in his favor...and what with taking care of Zykariel on his own all week, he didn't have as much free time as usual. He was having to learn to share his time with his son and not be overly efficent as he used to be.
Zahara? He hadn't really talked to her, even about watching Zykariel. Then again when he tried, she didn't want to talk to him. Truth be told he didn't want to place him in the hands of someone who would be overly distracted. Malik was tending to his own son, and Piper had taken the business reins of the place it seemed. And he wasn't using a slave. But something was going to have to give soon.
Right now he was looking over what he was considering his final version. This one worked and he knew it did, having conducted mini scenarios for this. Thus it meant he could throw it on Malik's desk now for his approval. Gathing his papers up he looked up when he heard his name was called, and he ventured to his son. A smile and a shake of his head, taking the block from him and setting it on top carefully. "Alright, this is the last time and then you have to put them away. We have to go to Twilight."

Zahara glanced out her window and rolled her eyes even as a smile began tugging at her lips. That silly surface elf was at it again. She reached back and lightly rubbed at a few spots that had been giving her trouble from being thrown and whatnot and sighed. Down to torture herself yet again. Why did she do this to herself? Because she adored the horses and wanted to see Piper's business remain successful. Zahara didn't consider herself a major player, just in it for the perks really and was more than happy to defer to Piper for the real business aspect of it. She just wanted the occassional free horse and time with the others out of the deal. Resigned now she pulled on her boots and headed out to the stables. "Didn't we just go over this with him?"
Zykariel nodded and watched as his father plopped the block up and the whole tower came tumbling down and he laughed and laughed. "Alright Daddy. Do I get to play with Malikhai?" He wanted to mention seeing his mother but thought Daddy might not be okay with that.
Grabbing his bucket, he began to toss the blocks in and soon, with Daddy's help of course, they were all cleaned up. A few minutes later he had his boots and cloak on and was waiting with Rawr in hand. "Did you finish all your work finally, Daddy?"

Piper looked up from tightening buckles and what not on the young horse, giving his flank a pat "Yes we did, but some need more attention than others." Giving Zahara a long look a moment...maybe it was a good time to talk to her? But she took a moment more with the horse. He was a winged melt style zephmare, bit of an attitude and had an issue with his wings being touched. Yes close to that flamming winged nightmare she was trying to get, but not quite, just black feathered "I think though I'm taking him for a ride around the lands a bit. Malik said that things have grown quite much and well I'm missing out. You want to come with me? I have a zephyr that needs to learn tack too."
"Yes, if you want to can play with Malikhai you can..." Shoving the pail against the wall and getting his own boots on, and gathering anything else up that he needed to bring with him. But he walked behind the boy as they left, deciding on whether to take the long or short route. Walk or runes. But for now he kept track of the boy, giving a small scratch to the ferret that rode his shoulder. "Well...I'm not all done. Malik has to tell me this is all okay first and then I can finish. Don't worry, I promised you we'd do something and we will. You just have to pick what."

She debated for a moment and looked ruefully at the horse before giving him a pet at his nicker. No need to make him think she was upset with him. Did she really want to ride? No but it would at least get her out of the house and spending time with another elf couldn't be all bad. She'd pretty much kept to herself the past week, giving short one-word answers anytime Piper had brought up certain people that clearly communicated she did not want to talk about it. Debating momentarily she finally made up her mind and nodded. "Alright." She knew the one Piper was referring to. A sweet tempered female that they hadn't really gotten around to giving the one on one attention required to teach such things. She disappeared into the stables briefly and led the horse out then carefully began arranging all the stuff she'd need. It didn't take long to saddle the horse and after only a few nervous moments when the saddle rested against her back, she was fine. Zahara soothed the mare with a few pets and whispered words. She had learned the language of the wind from Piper and had begun using it pretty regularly when dealing with them. Carefully, she soothed her again and led her around the corral a few times before bringing her over to Piper. "I dont' think she's going to take long at all."
Zykariel skipped along ahead of his father though this time he didn't waste time picking up any various rocks or bugs or such. He wanted to get to Twilight before Daddy changed his mind.
"I told you I wanted to go riding or swimming Daddy. You get to pick which one and when since I got to pick the actual thing we were gonna do." He fell back slightly and slipped his hand into the much bigger one then glanced up. "Daddy...we don't have to stay long if you don't want to. She's probably there..."

Piper lead her own around in circles a bit by the reins, though he would jerk from time to time. Yes this one had indeed thrown her before...he wasn't happy about this tack thing. But a look to Zahara then as she came over with her own. "Sounds good...though I still have trouble maker on my hands here." Grabbing the saddle horn she watched the creature a moment before pulling herself up into the saddle, much to a testy snort and splay of wings from her horse. Piper rolled her eyes and gave a jostle of the reins. "Stop it now, your wings are fine." A look to Zahara then. "I'm sure we won't be long."
Apparently the boy was in a hurry because his pockets were being neglected. But he gave a squeeze to the little hand that slipped into his. "Oh I get to pick do I?" Could he have a third choice? Of course not...he'd probably end up with horses only because you couldn't drown in those.
Though he forced a smil to cover the frown he wanted to give. It was so very wrong that the child wanted to comfort him on the situation. "No that's alright...besides...I'm sure you want to see her." He wasn't stupid, he knew the boy wanted to see her. "I suppose you could even stay the night if you wanted..." He knew better. He knew he should keep the boy away...but he couldn't. "What do you think?"

Zahara chuckled and shook her head. "Stubborn little guy isn't he? Reminds me of Faete, gods love him." She patted her own horse and then slowly, giving the girl plenty of time to get used to it, climbed into the saddle. The mare sidestepped nervously and Zahara patted her. "Easy girl, easy." Settling her weight, she clicked her tongue to the zephyr and took her through a few paces. "Alright, we're set. It should be interesting to say the least. She's not too sure about this..." Stepping off she urged the mare to test herself out and shifted a bit in the saddle to make sure sudden weight shifts woudln't send her careening off into the Underdark. "Where exactly are we going?"
Yes he did but he knew that Daddy had extended the invitation to her to come home. He'd been listening though Daddy didn't know that. She just hadn't yet. "No that's okay. Malikhai is busy this week anyway and I want to stay with you." He was quiet for a few more steps and then glanced up. "She is coming back soon though right?" Had Daddy changed his mind and told her no?

"Remember now, you want to use the reins." Which she then gave a snap of the reins to the horse she was riding, making him paw the ground and take an awkward jumpy step or two before he started into a light trot onward. Bah saddle...she hated saddles, they were so uncomfortable and made riding a chore in her opinion, keeping your feet in the stirrups and everything. "We're just going to go to the edge of Sevilin's runics." Whoa...bad statement, quick recover it. "You know, the edge of our lovely twilight lands."
Yes Sevilin had indeed told the woman that she could come back...mianly because it was what Zykariel wanted. Did Sevilin want her back? He didn't know...his life was missing a certain comfort right now with her not there, but his thoughts still rested on his son, afraid that if he acted like nothing had happened that went bad, it would all indeed happen again. Not something Sevilin wanted to put the boy through again.
Zahara hadn't said in two many words that she was coming back. In fact Sevilin hadn't really talked to her in person. Not that he was avoiding her, thier paths just didn't cross too much right now. "She knows she can." That was the answer he was giving the child. But he was quiet for a moment before giving a little tug on the boy's hand to get his attention. "You sure? I know I'm boring and no fun sometimes." After all with Sevilin the child could hardly transfer from one activity to another without having to clean up the first play mess. Sevilin couldn't help himself...he felt a loss of control when things were messy around him.

She sighed but nodded. "Yeah, yeah." Short, quick sentences were back. She was beginning to regret coming riding since it really wasn't the enjoyable activity she'd wanted it to be and then Piper mentioned his name. It didn't hurt this time though. She waited but nothing happened. Was she just too fed up to care? Or too miserable to feel more pain. It felt strange, being back at Twilight and having no one to take care of and nothing to do most days. Usually her days were full of everything and now..nothing. She tapped her fingers idly on the reins and used them instead of words to tell the zephyr what she wanted her to do. "Great." Then a shake of her head. "Stop tiptoeing around it Piper. You can say his name around me. I'm fine."
"Yes I'm sure. I want to stay with you Daddy. Without me around you won't eat stuff and you'll work too hard. You gotta have me to make your life fun." He went quiet for a moment and then asked, "She doesn't want to?"

Piper shook her head, taking a moment to tug on reins, much to the horses dismay who tried to alter his steps to put her off balance. But she had been doing this a long time and easily countered with a shift in her weight. A look over to Zahara and she shook her head at her again. "I'm not so sure. You haven't been the same since you came back and stopped talking to him. I wouldn't call that fine." Toes in dangerous water here probably...but she really couldn't help herself. Though she wasn't going to throw herself into the water...had to ease. So then a look back in front of them, continuing on thier little ride.
"You sound like your mother." A blink. Did he just say that? Yeah he did...and it was true. The boy was doing what Zahara would tell him to do and not do, and would get on his case for. But it wasn't the same. But then a smile. "You do make life quite the bit of fun." Reaching over with his other hand to ruffle the boy's hair. "It's not that she doesn't want to see you...I think it's more of she doesn't want to see me. I upset her."

It has been a full week since now and Arthur had been doing mostly his own thing, he had noticed that he rarely saw Zahara ever since their...moment together but he really didn't care right now he just push that memory to the back of his mind and maybe when he is in reverie it'll come up just like everything else; if Zahara wants to ignore him then why force things between them? If she wants to talk to him the she knows where he lives so no big deal. He still did his training but with Malik barely bugging him he took more time off to do some of his own things, like practice his violin, take Brahnel out for rides when he could, hang out with Isle (even though she still finds ways to drive him nuts), and if Piper needed it he would help her around the place and was also happy that the stable was finally done.
Now Arthur was getting of his stallion after riding up to the fortress, after giving Brahnel an apple and a option to roam or go to the stables, of course he wanted to roam, he went inside to see what was going on. Once in the large fortress he wandered it's many halls, stopping at the dinning hall for a drink, before going to the sitting room, he wanted to relax by a warm fire before going to practice his magic and whatnot again. Once he entered the room he saw a familiar face polishing her sword and he smiled a little. "Hello Lady Rainsong." He said with a chuckle as he wandered over to a chair and sat in it with a small grunt.

Her soft humming came to a stop as did the motions of her hand over her blade, teal and gold eyes looking up at the familiar sound of surface elvish that made her ears twitch. "Hello Galesen." He had been accomodating her, she could return the favor...after all she could hear in his voice that common was his first language.
She took a moment to grab a little bottle that she next to her on a side table, pouring some of the liquid in it onto the cloth in her hand and she went back to polishing her blade, sans humming this time, making the metals of her blade and the jeweling as well give off a fantastic shine from firelight. "Nothing better to do than come see me?"

It felt good to sit down and enjoy the warmth coming from the fireplace, yeah he could of done it at home but then he would of traveled here and by the time he was doing something else that nice feeling would be gone, he liked having the long effects of staying by a fireplace on him while moving on to another task, it made things feel a little easier. The one thing he didn't expect on was Isle being there, oh well that could be an added bonus of sorts and he noticed how she was speaking in common as well which he found nice.
With a small sigh Arthur shifted a little in his seat in order to get comfortable then allowed the basking warmth from the fire to wander over and roam over him gently, he would never hate moments like these for as long as he lived, too bad he didn’t have a book right now. "Well I came by to do a little training but I wanted to relax in front of the fire for a bit...but seeing you here as well is an addition while being in here, and I do enjoy your company very much." Arthur had a small smile on his face when he said this and what he said was true, being in the company of Isle was a good thing, she was fun and had a good sense of humor amongst her but boy she found her ways to press those embarrassing spots on him and most of the time it lead to a lot of funny moments between them.

"Good to know that I'm pleasureable enviroment decoration and stimulation." Giving him a smile and then taking out a second cloth, running it over her blade as well before moving on to the hilt and hand guard. She always took good care of her sword, that was for sure. But she set it aside a moment and looked back to the elf that was more or less across from her. She was feeling docile today. "It is nice to have some adult company..." After all, Malik and Piper were preoccupied, Zahara didn't want to talk to anyone, and well she and Sevilin more or less gave one another passing looks.
