She peered at Tremor and frowned at the tone he used, though she quickly turned her attention back to Broog as he had turned around and grinned at her. He was so ugly, especially to an elf, it was almost cute. She tilted her head and nodded happily. "Very much. Sometimes Daddy Kieran gets them for me when I'm really good. I can't believe you make some of these. They're so beautiful!" She picked up a really heavy necklace riddled with gems and held it up to her neck for a moment. But it was too heavy for her little self so she set it back up on the desk. "Does Malik ask for this stuff?"
Zykariel was watching the pot intently. He was going to catch it boiling. Zara always said that if he watched it, it wouldn't boil but that didn't make any sense. She had to be playing. So he was watching it closely, refusing to look away. A bubble! He grinned and watched even more intently but the bubble was one of a kind. Frowning he turned at his father's words and glanced up at the jars and pointed quickly before looking back down. Sure enough, the pot was boiling. "Dammit!"

Broog nodded his head.
"Da master wants lots o da shinies fer sellins and steels. We dun gets to makes too many of our specialz shinies no mores."
if broog could have looked like a wounded puppy, he would have. after all, it was much more challengeing and gave a greater feel of workmanship to work with enchanted metals and such.
"But wez makes lootz of da stuffz da masterz wants. and we gets treatz fer good jobz."
"Fair enough. But you do need to study what you were told to study as well."
Then a look between them. So isle wanted to be so dramatic, eh? Well he could play on that as well.
"I thought Arthur had more self control. Didn't even try to make it to a bedroom, did we. And sounds like you didn't put up much of a fight there either, Isle. I should probably have the arean floors redone just in case."
in that serious as ever tone and look. Probably arthur would jump on it, in hot defense, but that wasn't his concern now was it.

She turned her eyes from Malik and her want to see his reaction, or rather his belief in her proposd statement of happening, to contradict Galesen's own account. "Carelessly threw yourself onto me." Of course she was going to contradict what Galesen said. It was part of the game, no matter how much it may annoy him or anything she would contiue so. Malik knew this game well after she had pulled it with him about how he snuck up on her and Piper both during one of those 'push down icy mountain' games and had sent them both tumbling. Malik hadn't appreciated the 'accusation' at the time, but he learned of the game easily.
She threw in a dramatic astonished look. "You should be ashamed of yourself Malik. Getting into other's intimate business...and your sandy icky arena grounds are fine...they just need to dry."
"And then me, Zahara, and Sevilin were all chained to the wall and Nym was just too scared to come out. That left daddy all alone with nothing but his sword against the lich." That dramatic tone to her voice, trapping the child in that story that his eyes practically glittered over as he listened. It was an adorable look really...hero worship of his father. Cute indeed. But a pause for effect.
He wriggled in bed, anxious with the tale being told. Why did she stop? Okay he couldn't hold it anymore. "What happened?!"
A look at the ones the boy pointed too. Oh good he knew what jars she usually used for this particular thing...or at least he hoped he knew. If anything Sevilin should be able to look in the jars and kinda surmise what she used...though some things dissolved when used so he would have some trouble there. Pulling down a jar or two, he skeptically looked at them before blinking and looking to Zykariel at his outburst. "Watch your mouth Zykariel. You don't talk like that...where did you hear it anyway?" His tone slightly chastising...after all, Sevilin strove to not speak like that in front of his child. He was concerned.

Arthur gave a small shrug to Malik and took a sip of his drink before setting it back down on the table. "If you want to believe that then go right ahead Malik, all that happened was I lost my balance and I fell on Isle by mistake, a common error for someone stuck in the mud." Eh why should he let Malik's comments get to him? That drow think he could get him upset and what not then let him believe so, it's no big deal anyway the only thing they actually did was kiss but that was about all. Though he looked at Isle and sighed just a bit, she liked to contradict him on everything he was going to say in his defense? Well that was just swell. "More like I fell forward and wanted to grab onto you for support but you fell as well because you couldn't hold onto me." But it was kind of funny to hear her make up new ways of telling the story, he would look back on this day and laugh, if he didn't get mad first.

Her eyes lit up happily. "You do?" She squealed happily and clapped her hands. "That's so exciting. I love making pretty things but Daddy Kieran has to be with me or I'm not s'posed to touch the sharp stuff." She peered at a few things on the desk and grinned. "Can I watch you work? Please? I'll be real quiet and I could even help you if you wanted...."
He frowned at the pot. So it was true. If you watched it, it really didn't boil. He hated admitting Zara was right. It still didn't make any sense. The stove couldn't think for itself, could it? Maybe there was a little man inside who heated things up and made it work? Or maybe it was magic...could magic have a mind of its own? Perhaps that was a question for Daddy...
He turned and glanced at his father, then faltered at the tone he used. That was the 'you are about to be in trouble young man' tone and he didn't like it at all. His face was the picture of innocence. "Why not? Mr. Malik says it all the time."

Malik smirked lightly.
"you have no idea how much I can dig in. Or maybe you do, if you have the right ones of Kieran's journals."
And a look over to Arthur.
"Is that so. muddy floor and such. I think someone was using her surname's implication a little too seriously perhaps. But either way is of little concern. once they dry I can ascertain exactly what happened. every little detail."
Another drink and a bite.
"And you got yourself clean in the lake. clean lakewater down here does give off it's own perfume to someone that has spent enough time down here. As it is rare to have non-creature infested lakes. All in all a fairly productive time for you two."
Broog stared at her, wheels in his head turning as much as they ever did anyway.
"Broog doesn't mindz....but broogs not alloweds to lets youz stays without da masterz or da mistrez's permshion."
hey Broog liked company. He often had Piper to give him that for when she wanted to look at his work or have speacil things crafted. hey, lightbulb idea.
"Youz gets permhision, and Broogz will makes youz sumtin, so youz gets to helps by letting broog knows what's you wants and hows youz wants it. Yes?"

"Because that's not something for little elves to say." Hell, he got on Zahara's case about it. He wasn't ont to entertain such language...well, not out loud. In his head a whole lot of that went on now didn't it? Sure did. But it made sense that he got it from Malik...though surprising to know he said such things around the children. He'd think Piper would be on her husband's case about it. She always had something to say...
But he sighed and shook his head. "Don't say it again." And that was his warning...and Zykariel knew you didn't brush off your warning in hope for another one. Sevilin often didn't give two when he was adamant about something. Though a smirk at that innocent look, ruffling the child's hair. "Are you going to put those in that pot or just let the water cook itself?" Said she he took to cutting up various things to make sauce with. Oh gods please have mercy on him.
"But you're bigger than me, what makes you think I can keep you up?" Twist twist twisttwisttwist. Fun for her indeed. But a look to Malik and a bat of her eyelashes at him. "Too seriously? I only lightly indulged...and he threw sand in my eyes, so I had to do something to get him back. Not my fault he can't walk on mud like I can." Popping another cherry into her mouth, giving him a smirk and then a look back over to Galesen. "We were dirty and cold water is good for my hair. Can't get any colder than that I would say.
"Poof, just like that."
"Poof?"
"Poof. All gone. Daddy's special sword made it all better again. Then he got the three of us loose and we made cleaned out the castle of all the bad things." Oh an oh so watered down version....various injuries and fights being excluded and the like. Spare the child that.

Arthur shook his head lightly at Isle and smiled. "If you were prepared you could of held me up, your feet may have sunken into the mud a little but with your legs spread out evenly you could of done it, besides the first time I lost my balance we didn't fall in the mud so you could of prepared yourself incase it happened again." That was true, Arthur was having a hard time getting out of that mud, Isle should of known better and kept herself ready just incase he did fall again. But the elf looked back at the blue drow and popped and eyebrow a little bit at his comments. "Well we were fighting like we were trying to injure each other so I used the 'throw sand' in the other persons face and she countered with what she knew best which was change the whole field so I cannot move, that was a good play on her part. But you don't have to worry, you wont find anything that you think we have done Malik." Well if the drow wanted to think like that then why not let him? "Yeah to wash my cloths and the lake was big enough so I didn't have to twist and turn my body to get it all clean like in the bathtub, besides like Isle said it was good for her hair and for a change the cold water felt good on my skin, you have probably taken a few dips in that lake yourself so why worry what goes on there anyway?" That wouldn't be a big surprise really, if Malik owned he only non-creature infested lake then why not use it?

She really thought about it and made a quick decision. If she went upstairs to get permission she might be told to settle down since they were going to be in reverie soon. So instead she smiled sweetly. "Malik said I could." He sort of had. He'd told her to make herself at home adn while he hadn't mentioned the basement specifically telling her she could go, neither had he mentioned the basement in the negative sense and neither had Piper. "They're all going down for reverie soon anyway. I already took mine..."
"Yes Daddy." He made a mental note not to say such a word again and also to tell Malikhai not to say it either. If Daddy didn't like it, Miss Piper probably didn't either. But like most things when it came to scolding, Daddy moved on real quick.
He shook his head and laughed. "No, I was just waiting for it to boil." He picked up the noodles and dumped them in then stirred the pot to move the noodles around. He pointed to the jar on the counter. "She always cuts it up or mashes it before dumping it in Daddy. I can't remember."

Right...now that they were past that little bump and it had been said that he wasn't to do that anymore, Sevilin went back to focusing on dinner, giving a little nod to his son and deciding to cut whatever it was he had up to throw into the pot with everything else he was putting in there, bringing it all to the stove. Well...it looked like what Zahara usually made. Wasn't that cute? The both of them kinda cooking at the stove? Very. "So then...are we having anything else with this?"

"More or less. though for a time, Arthur, you'll be answering to Piper. I'm on a forced vacation. Too much stress has been deemed."
A slight smirk. It was not uncommon for Piper to make Malik take vacations. the more stressed he got, the more violent he had a tendency to get. and more shortfused.
"But she won't be going easy on you. and I do have the permission to enforce things."
Broog looked at her, his eyes glazed, unmoving for a moment.
"Noperz. We knows when little elfs aren't telling truthz. We knew it when little ones did it, and we know it now. nos gettingz outs of chorses or duties to sneak to broog."
And he sat back a bit.
"And if youz had missions, youz would haev been toldz about Broog. Youdda knowns dis was Broogz works."
A nod at that. After all, Piper when she sent people to him or came down with people she always told them who he was and what he did.

She gave a dismissive wave of her hand to Galsen and took to the half eaten bowl of cherries in front of her once more. She breifly entertained the idea of tying one of the stems into a knot with her tongue whiel staring at Galesen...but figured that she had tortured him enough for the day and let it slid, looking back to Malik. "Forced vacation? My my Malik that must be so very very horrible for you, I'm sure. I'm so sorry she's doing that to you, the wretched woman." Punctuated by a giggle...oh she was having fun at everyone's expense. Maybe it had something to do with that stuff Malik had her drink earlier. Who knew. And just for kicks one of those 'you're blue and I love that' looks to Malik that she used to play with him. "I could get rid of a lot of that stress for you." Not that she would every really try to take Malik from Piper, that would just be wrong...it was all just a friendly joke...but damn was she convincing to anyone who didn't know better. "After all, haven't had that much blue at one time in a while." Oh bad bad Isle...good Isle.

Arthur's ears shot up the same time his eyebrows did when Malik told him the news, so the drow was going to go on a forced vacation? It's about time that the drow would just settle down and relax, it allowed Arthur to slip on without any worries really. "Well good for you Malik it seems that you do need one of course, you've been working pretty hard and don't worry if Piper does ask me to do something I will do it for her no problem what so ever." Well hopefully Piper would let him go and just allow him to take his own break for awhile but he'll have to hear from her on that. But when he looked at Isle he got a shiver sent down his spine by the look she was giving to Malik, it was something he hasn't seen on her face yet and it struck him kind of odd, when she spoke though his ears popped up again and went back down, did she really meant what she said? No she couldn't, Isle wouldn't take Malik from Piper...would she? Bah instead of worrying about it it be best to force that thought down into his head; whatever happens between them is none of his concern. So with a small cough Arthur grabbed his cup again and drank the rest of his water before handing it to a slave and asking for wine this time around, he needed some elf wine in his system.

Malik caught that look. and if he coud lwithout giving things away, he woudl have had the most evil grin on his face.
"I knwo you could. you are wonderfully adept, shame that I was engaged prior to spending time with you. Was an evening worth noting."
Serious look and everything. down to a science on the decieving people part. It was fun to play with Arthur.

Oh good Andalian Gods...this was just too good. The look on Galesen's face was more than priceless...she was so good at this bad thing. And of course it helped that Malik could play into it an look totally serious about it. Though look at that, she was driving Galesen to drink...or at least she liked to think so. But a rather seductive sounding chuckle on her part as she propped an elbow on the table and rested her chin on her hand, letting her eyes slid half closed and the gold in her eyes flick. Oh...so horribly bad in the good play way. Yes, her goal was to drive Galesen up the wall, even if she wasn't looking directly at him.
"Hm, I'm glad you thought so. After all...you're blue and what with my love of blue...I had to impress. Amazing what a few years age difference can do...isn't it?" Banking on the older than Piper by at least ten years fact. Oh yes, so bad...her voice laced with a particular tone, her gained accent perhaps making it all the better. Leaning back in her chair, she turned that look on Galesen, "Though Malik...you are a married man now...I'm afraid I have to look elsewhere." And thus that look back to Malik just to mess with Galesen. "Ever loyal Malik. Besides...a man with a kid? I don't need that kind of hold back. Though of course...I never wanted you forever. A night of your company perhaps was enough."
