"Uh oh, the ego is growing." Poking him in the ribs for that one with a little laugh. See, when he was in a good relaxed mood she was more so in hers. It worked for everyone when they were both in a good mood. "If you want to get something love, then go ahead. Believe me, I eat...otherwise I wouldn't have any energy to survive you now would I? Of course snacks in the bedroom is always nice as well." Giving one of those little smiles and a flick of gold from her eyes, just because. "But I have other things on my mind besides food. Like getting you all nice and mellow and settled" One of those saucey looks to him then. "And if that entails lashing you to the bedposts so that you don't get up and do paperwork or anything, then I will do it." Oh and he knew she would...she'd tied him to the bedposts enough fo different reasons for that not to be an idle threat. "Also need to something about Malikhai's eyes."

"I'm allowed an ego."
though a bit of a frown at the mention of thier son's eyes.
"I don't know what to do about them. I've no experience with this kind of thing. Maybe Isle or Kieran woudl have some insight on it. Though I don't like that his eyes have been so bothersome to him of late."
though he was heading toward the kitchen. he wanted a banana, and maybe a glass of wine.

"We can get insight into exactly how this works when it's developed instead of being present at birth." Hey she had utterly taken after her father in this area, so she didn't have too much to add on that. "The important thing right now is to merely make it so they don't bother him. We can do that." After all, she would just simply have to dull down the light reaction much the way her father had taught her how with her own eyes. A small shake of her head. "He may just have to adjust to it and then he'll be fine...and playing with a hybrid darkvision moon elven vision combo once he gets over the hurdle. I'm sure he can have loads of fun with that when he's older." Giving him one of those reassuring smiles and another smirky one at his intended destination. Hm, needed an enery boost did he? Didn't surprise her with the way they indulged in each other.
Her attention turned up from Galsen and the journal she had to Malik and Piper as thier voices became audible and moments later they made an appearance. "Where have you two been?" That cute little accent of hers coming back to her common speech, though that was more of a rhetorical question, seeing as she could probably make a good guess. After all, women could tell that sort of thing when they looked at each other.

"Well I hope things go well for the elf, he's a good man I believe things will turn out alright for him." Arthur trusted Kieran pretty much, the man was caring and was nice and when in a conversation you can bring up any subject and he'll know something about it. The young elf just hoped that Kieran will be able to finish sorting out what was going on up there then come down and spend time with his family, the poor elf really needed it.
"Oh really? Darn Kieran seemed so interested when he found out that I was raised by humans...I thought for sure he was writing it down in that journal of his..." A light shrug and a small sigh before he grabbed his glass of water and took another sip before setting it down. "Well I don't think you should worry...I bet in a couple of days you'll get use to the way the time goes on down here." A small nod to that and he leaned back in his seat as he looked around for a moment, though he happened to pick up on the voices of Piper and Malik coming, well he ddin't mind Piper coming it was the other one he didn't wanted to be in the same room right now. But once they came in he gave a slight nod and a "Hello." before taking a sip of his water again.

"I'm sure he will. but we do need to find something to ease it for now."
Though his attention shifted to Isle and Arthur, almost in a predatory fashion, looking for any minor sign of things that had occured...before grabbing his banana and wineglass, and being overly casual.
"Did you do as I instructed you yet, Arthur? Or have you been spending your time trying to get into Isle's bed?"
Hey, good mood ment pokes at everyone.

Isle gave a chukle at Malik's little prods on the issue. Heck it was more of the other way around, though she wasn't solely seeking him for the bed...if it happened it did, if not well she got some good kicks out of the deal. And an apologetic look was given to Malik. "Was Galesen supposed to be up to something? I'm afraid I've been distracting him with a bit of dueling and what not."
And she decided to indulge in a glass of wine for herself as well...though she was going to take the whole bottle of that now preferred bloodwyne with her upstairs. Hey it came in handy. But a kiss for Malik, giving him one of those looks of hers. "Don't worry, he'll be fine. I'll got take care of it right now." Turning on her boot heel but looking over her shoulder to him for a moment. "I'll take care of his eyes and get him settled, then we can have the rest of the night for us." A look over to Isle, giving her friend that knowing smirk before leaving and heading upstairs, stopping by her room to drop off the bottle she had snatched before making her way to nursery. Her son was indeed doing what his father had said, drawing. "Look at that talent, you're quite good." Fluffing the boy's ego of course before crouching down to his level. "Come here sweetheart."
Oh he did so enjoy it when he got attention of that sorts. He nodded. "I don't know what it is, but it looks pretty." Pushing himself up and toddling over to his mother as she called him over, rubbing at his eyes lightly. To which his mother pulled his hands away and he blinked at her.
"I'm going to make your eyes feel better okay? It'll feel funny for a moment but you'll be much more comfortable, alright?" Waiting for the boy's nod before she placed her palm over his eyes, whispered words of incantation she used to neutralize light levels to the gold in her own eyes. Though this was highly controlled so the boy wouldn't have to suffer any ill effects. Soon enough she pulled her hand away...it was temporary but it worked for now. "Better?"
He blinked, rubbed his eyes and looked around, then gave a happy giggle and hugged his mother tightly around the neck. "You made it all better!" Wasn't that just great. Of course it didn't occur to him that it would come back.
Piper gave a laugh and pressed a kiss to his cheek. "Indeed I did, told you moms can fix anything wrong with you. Now come on, bath and bed for you." Get the child and cleaned up and hopefully settled before Malik was done downstairs so he would be up for goodnights and what not.

Lharika had come out of reverie not too long ago but there was no way she was going to reverie the rest of the night. Malikhai was gone but the paraphernalia told her he had been there recently. She yawned lightly and rubbed her eyes, then hopped out of bed and decided to wander. Tiptoeing past the bathroom where telltale splashing and happy noises indicated a toddler being bathed, she went downstairs and listened carefully, figuring out where everyone was. Malik was in the kitchen and so was Isle. A moment later she realized that Arthur was there too. Which left her to do whatever it is she wanted to do. Except go outside without an adult of course.
Her footsteps took her to the door to the basement and for the umpteenth time she wondered what was down there. She'd never been in the whole time she'd been coming though she had heard this place mentioned quite a bit, mostly by Piper and Malik in those low tones. She crept down the stairs, listening to the noises coming from the rooms and tilted her head. What was going on? Maybe she shouldn't have come down here? But reaching the bottom she began to wander again and ended up in Broog's workshop. Her little face lit up happily and she walked in then reached up to touch one of the many creations Broog was so famous for. "Oooh this is almost better than one I saw in Farhian." Glancing around for the smith but all she saw was a big...sort of odd creatures, her eyes full of wonder and curiosity. "Did you make this?"
Zahara had finally emerged from her room hours ago and she was now in the stables with the horses. It was easier to be with them than to reverie the night away. Reverie was not her friend right now. She lightly brushed Kerick's mane and whispered to him before moving onto the next one. Keeping her hands busy was necessary to preserve her sanity. Lord knew things weren't going well in her mind right now and she deeply wondered what the outcome of all this was going to be. Was she destined to resort to sneaking to see Zykariel? It wasn't so much about Sevilin anymore, she accepted that he didn't want her around. She hated it, but she accepted it. But Zykariel, him she needed to see. SHe needed to make sure he was eating right and getting enough reverie and someone was taking care of him properly. What if the boy got fussy and Sevilin couldn't calm him? What would he do? What if Zykariel wanted something besides the chicken nuggets she'd made in abundance and kept frozen for easy meals? What if, gods forbid, he wanted meatloaf or real chicken or any sort of vegetable? Sevilin couldn't cook to save his soul and she did not want Kariel eating the concotions that man threw together. Food poisoning for sure. But until Sevilin relinquished, she was stuck. Might as well get that need to take care of her son out on the horses.
Yay, they were going home! Sure he loved to talk to new people and meet the ones that Daddy was doing stuff with but his tummy was talking to him and that meant he was going to get cranky soon. But as they neared home he wriggled to get down and raced to the front door, busting through it and calling out to Zara that they were home. And then he remembered that she wasn't there. So what were they having for food then? He turned, "Daddy? Are we having chicken nuggets again?"

He looked down to his son as he walked in, closing the door behind himself and kicking off his boots. And thus a walk into the kitchen, giving an idle pet to the ferret that was laying on the table lazily. "Do you not want to have chicken nuggets tonight? Want something else?" Hell...though he supposed this couldn't be too hard a thing...Zahara had tried to teach him to cook, she had written recipies for him to follow...he had trouble doing it because he saw no logical order in how it was all put together, but he could try...try indeed.

He mimicked his father and kicked off his boots, then followed Daddy into a kitchen and plopped at the bar so he could watch his dad put something together. "I want something else, Daddy. What can you make that tastes good? Zara makes yummy pasketti and really good meat stuff. Can you do that?"

Spaghetti with sauce apparently was on the boys mind. Well...Sevilin could make that...the sauce wasn't so nice to him in making it...Zahara usually did that part. But he could give it a go. "I can give it a try, I can't promise that it'll be good as Zahara's but I can try." Giving his son a smile and ruffling his hair before heading over to the counter and searching for the little box that Zahara kept her recepies in...thumbing through them and pulling out the right one. "You wanna help me?" He could pull this off...
And if not...well that would mean he would have to have a very awkward conversation with Zahara...and take back what he said, seemingly surrendering...he was sure she would throw that in his face or something. Though he was going to have to have that conversaton anyway wasn't he? Seeing as Zykariel wanted her around.

He leaped up excitedly and nodded. "Yes!" He'd never helped Daddy cook, only Zara. So he went about his normal routine with her, scooting over a stool so he could reach the counter and tucking his hair back behind his ears. "You gotta watch your braid Daddy. Don't want hairs in the food." Climbing up onto his stool, he waited patiently to be told either what to get, what to dump, or what to stir. Zara always did the hard stuff, he just did what he was told.

"Right...watch the hair." Thus pushing his braid over his shoulder in normal keep it out of the way fashion. And Sevilin took to normal motions, getting out what he needed...well most of it. Putting a pot of water on to boil, throwing some salk into the water, and then grabbing the uncooked noodles, as well as the other pot they'd need to cook the sauce. And following that receipe he had in hand, he got out sauce ingrediants. Though then it came to that little spice list she used and the amounts. Over to the cabinet that she kept them in and he opened it...blinking stupidly at all the containers. You'd think she could at least label these things for him...a look to Zykariel as he handed the boys the noodles to put in the water when it was time. "I dont' suppose you know which jar has what in at at all, do you?"

The basement was not a good place to be for anyone besides those allowed. mostly due to teh sounds that obviously weren't happy..especailly if one happened across a breaker room in use. But she got lucky, and had instead wandered into Broog's workshop.
Tremor looked at the elf girl like one might look at an insect, before calling out something in a language course and not pleasent. Which got the ogre, who was etching some of Tremor's work, to turn himself around, then look over at Lharika. then back at Tremor, a few more words, and Broog gave his typical big toothy grin and sauntered over to the little elf, putting his large frame on his seat.
"Broogs makes da shinies, yous likes da shinies?"
A glance over at Isleandra..and a raise of his eyebrow...before taking a seat and eatting a bit and drinking some more.
"Arthur is supposed to be doing some studies on religions. Just in case he might feel compelled after his studies to follow a diety, or at least be better prepared in the chance he come across someone of power that does."

Splashing indeed...that child always managed to make a lake out of the bathroom floor. Piper had yet to figure out how he did it all the time. Though she supposed it was because he was going through his 'I can do it myself' stage...and well, him washing his hair was a very wet process. Splasher. Piper knew however to let him have his little indepenent moments...though of course the moment he was proclaimed to be done, it was back on mom to dry him off before he again took to doing his own thing and pulled on his own night clothes. It really was funny sometimes. "Alright you...come on, time for bed." Using the left behind towel to mop up water on the floor before following the toddler back to the nursery proper.
He toddled cutely back to the nursery and thus over to his bed, where Ashlyn had already plopped herself down and he climbed in, cuddling into his usual spot against the griffin, pulling his covers up and snuggling down into them. "Can I have a story?"
"Of course you can...what do you want to hear about?"
"Daddy."
She gave a chuckle at that...of course that would be his choice. He liked to hear those stories where Malik was doing something that was considered 'heroic' or valaint for that matter...sure she toned it down a little to be more child friendly, but that was all. "Alright, I'll tell you about the time daddy sought out the evil lich and made things safe for us." Ah embellished yet toned down stories. Thus starting into said story, child friendly version.
He just got that sweet look back from her as he took on that skeptical look. "Ah yes, that's right. Sorry, I pulled him off track. Got to talking about swords and then fighting styles and well it all kind of went from there and we had ourselves a nice duel." And just to hit on the older joke that she kept pushing. "And he violently pushed me down into the mud that came from the little fiasco."

Arthur rolled his eye light;y at Malik's 'trying to get Isle into bed' joke, if there was a moment where they will both be in bed together then it will come to pass, there's nothing wrong with that. But before he could open his mouth Isle popped up and explained what had happened between them, which Malik shouldn't be angry at because the drow did tell him to train really; but somehow that wasn't what the man wanted Arthur to do, instead he brought up the whole religion thing they talked about awhile ago. "Well you first told me to train and as Isle put it we did...a nice friendly duel happened and nobody got hurt." But he gave Isle a small look when she brought up the whole mud thing. "I fell onto to you by mistake Isle, stop trying to be so dramatic." Though of course he had a small grin on his face, if she wanted to play it that way then fine really.
