Oh I'm so happy for you both, Nuri!
I have come back from the desert, made it safe to San Diego, and currently am in Bahrain, figuring out what I need to do to finally see my ship, lol. If it weren't for humor, I'd be having such a hard time with this.
Those on my facebook, I've put my address for the ship and would love it if you could message me your email addresses so when I can get to my email, I can drop a line.

Congrats to your husbands new job, Nuri!
On a side note, I'm looking for a particular thread in the guild chat but cant find it. It was on the subject on movies that are based on witchcraft/wicca. I remember The Craft was mentioned, but there was also a movie that was a bit more accurate in portraying Wicca and less exaggerated than the previous mentioned title. Can someone tell me what this movie is called? Because I'm interested in watching it.

I finally have access to a Serb-language version of the Book of Veles. I'm excited to do an in-depth reading with notes and maybe illustrations.

The Book of Veles (Velesova Kniha) is a set of (possibly forged) tracts containing religious passages and mythical accounts of history describing the migration of the Slavs into Europe and the ethnogenesis of the Russian people. I guess you could compare it to the Book of Exodus. I've seen English language versions but I tend to shy away from English language materials for Slavic paganism.

maenad nuri So would anyone like for me to purchase a guild chatroom? I didn't realize there were guild chat rooms. That would be a pretty cool thing to have - hopefully bring out some of the more shy members.

No, it's just text-based, using the same tech that Gaia uses for towns and such.

so, while i was in the library at my college campus looking for books for my research papers (one on running a CSA and one on weight politics in bellydance) I found a big green book, nearly identical to the one on my avatar, titled "Italian Popular Tales" I flipped it open to see a huge list of Italian fairy tales, including most of Pietri's work. In english. You can bet your biscuits I checked that sucker out. Now I dont have to spend over $200 to fill in the gaps of my knowledge of sicilian folklore! There are no words for how excited I am!
