Ah, the first day of October. biggrin heart heart Now I can decorate and stuff!
My younger cousin will have her gastric bypass on Tuesday. We are going to see her Wednesday. I am a little worried. crying And my older cousin has a mass on her kidney and is haveing her operation today. eek crying

Surgery postponed for my one cousin. eek *falls over* At least the surgurys won't be so close together now. neutral

At least it was postponed? Unless it was under bad circumstances?
Ryan's dad needs a surgery on a hernia, his grandfather is having a quadruple bypass on Wed. and a surgery on HIS hernia as soon as he's recovered. o.o And my great grandmother is going in for surgery on her second bout of kidney stones. The temporary stents they gave her are gone and she needs emergency surgery even though she hasn't recovered from the last one [she's 93]. sweatdrop

Eep, well I hope everyone's surgeries go well with no complications.
I feel lucky in that none of my family members are in need of surgery at the moment. It was hard enough when my Grandmother had to go in for Bypass surgery.

Me too - but even the expert doctor who specializes in these sorts of surgies for old people who'll be working on my great grandmother says there's a very high risk that even with his know how, she may not make it through. She's had several surgeries for the stones the past few months and she's not very strong anymore. sweatdrop Plus, she's 93. So the doctor said that the surgery is really a "last ditch" attempt to get rid of the stones.

Chels: I hope all goes well with you great grandmother. neutral My little cousin came through her gastric bypass good. She had to have her gall bladder taken out because of stones. Poor thing. sad She was groggy and we will sit with her tomorrow.
My other cousin got a cold so she had to postpone her surgery..and they found another growth. eek I hope she will be okay, she is older than me and not in good health. sad

Thanks Emeraude - I hope she comes out all right, as well. But she's 93 and hasn't recovered from the past attempts, so its more likely she won't. Which sucks, but...she's 93. Its getting to be about that time for her to move on.
Awww, poor cousin of yours. I hope she feels better soon from that surgery. o.o And that the other cousin feels better soon, too!

My cousin who had the gastric bypass is doing great. biggrin We were with her almost all day.
My older cousin is alright right now as far as I know. She is a bit crabby though. blaugh
I don't wear costumes any more...I might dress my Deirdre up though. biggrin
