jewel just blinks and looks at the menu finding a chicken sandwitch as she looks at the cook " um.. can I have the chicken sandwitch?"

"Coming right up." The cafeteria lady said as she prepares a chicken sandwich for Jewel, "here you go." She hands the sandwich.

jewel waits paciently and after she got her sandwitch she tried not to eat to fast as she swallows " uh tails? what are the people here gonna do now? they proably aren't happy shadow is here..."

"Highly doubt anyone would want Shadow here. They demanded a trial against him to decide if we should allow him to roam free like us or have him be put into suspended animation." Tails frowned again, "It would be wrong. Then others want him as an experiment to be tested on."

jewel tilts her head " supended what?" jewel scratched her head as she frowns " I don't think I would want that for anyone... sounds almost like tourcher..." jewle said rubbing her arm as she blinks " um, tails what is it you do here... if that isn't asking to much"

"It's not my say of this..." Tails shrugged. He then smiled, "I'm actually the director of this hideout. I'm the one who built this place!" He then looked at his com-link that is on his wrist, "Hmm... speaking of the trial, it's going to start in a couple of hours. Crossing my fingers if they let him free... but I'm already asking too much. Highly doubt anyone would want him."

jewel blinks looking down a little "maybe...they probably aren't looking for anyone who has maybe seen a diffrent side are they?" jewel rubs her arm " I know I've already stated I was passed down to him but, the whole time I was his slave he could have killed me. but for what reason he didn't I can't say.."

"None of these people are willing to negotiate..." Tails frowned, his ears flattening. "I knew Shadow before all of this happened. Between you and me, I don't think Shadow has what it takes to continue to work with Eggman again. I don't think he wanted to in the first place."
Two hours passed and the trial, for Shadow's sentence/fate, has begun.
The courtroom is bigger than a normal football stadiums since it was meant to fit most of the refugees. In the middle is where the judge sits and where Shadow is being held. Sonic and his friends also sit in the middle along with the judge. Sonic had Jewel sit with the group.
The audience all shout different insults towards Shadow and shouting what should be done to the black hedgehog.
"Death sentence!"
"Torture!"
"For science!"
"Death sentence!"
"ORDER! ORDER!" The judge shouted. The judge is an old echidna, complete with a white beard and mustache. "ORDER!"
Large lit up signs saying "SILENCE" start to light up to calm the audience. After waiting a few minutes for the large audience to calm down, the judge speaks, "This is the trial for Shadow The Hedgehog. Charged for murder, inhumane torture, and cruel labor. We shall begin to decide how he shall pay back for his actions!"
The bailiff walked up to Sonic and the group, making them all speak the oath. Then someone else spoke, "I would like to call the defendant to the stand."
Two guards dragged Shadow onto the stand. Shadow couldn't feel his legs since they were numb from a drug to prevent escaping.
"Shadow, you are aware that all of the survivors here are angry with your actions that you have done to them and to the ones that are still in need of rescue. How do you plea?"
Shadow frowned. He looked away, not saying a word.
"Speak now, Shadow." The judge said.
Shadow still kept silent.
Sonic sighed, "This isn't going to get us no where..." He then stood up, "I would like to say something, sir." he walked up to the front, in front of Shadow, "Before we start saying anything. I just want to know that I know that deep down, Shadow still have something good inside him. We may not see and and he may be too stubborn to show it but I know the Shadow we knew still exists."
Shadow scoffed, "Don't bet on it, Sonic!"
The audience began to shout.
"Silence!"

jewel nods at tails " alright" jewel had been sitting very still looking a little nervious listening to everyone shout and scream. jewel looks around at the millions of people, as she swallows staying in her seat watching sonic stand infront of shadow. jewel looks at tails talking quietly " uh.. um t-this doesn't sound like its going to end very well..." jewel said to tails having one finger in her ear from the yelling and shouting

Tails gulped, "Not at all.... If Shadow doesn't cooperate, Sonic won't be able to save Shadow from this..."

jewel looks a little nervious " I'm not sure if I can sit here and ... w-watch this tails....all the screaming and yelling... almost like I'm back in the palace" jewel frowns fidgiting in her chair " I don't see how killing him will help anything.... killing shadow won't bring all those people back...they are no different then eggman if they keep this up..."

Tails sighed, "Everyone is angry at him..."
Sonic shouted at the judge, "I demand an order!"
"ORDER! ORDER! SILENCE!" The judge shouted.
It took a while for the audience to quiet down.
The judge nodded, "Good... Now we are sure that Shadow's behavior as of now isn't really helping himself out of this..." He coughed a bit, "But we shall wait for the jury's response on how this hedgehog shall pay for his crime. As of now, this trial shall begin it's first recess..."
