"Plain? You sure lad?" the man asked, fetching the small white box anyways. "I mean if you plan to wow a lady, I don't think white is really the way to go..."

Damian nodded. "Just plain white. I'm planning on doing something with it."

"Alright." the craftsman shrugged some, placing the ring in the plain box before handing it over to Damian. Once the prince paid for the service, he smiled some. "Good luck, lad. You'll need it."

Damian nodded and thanked the man for his services, and also for his "good luck." The prince slipped the box into his pocket, holding it carefully as he walked back to the castle. As soon as he was there, he slipped into his room as soon as possible. Mina had left a small amount of art supplies in his room once and kept forgetting to take them. He carefully laid them out on his desk and put the box on the desk as well. Using magic, he had the paintbrushes paint an exact replica of the sparrow that he'd had sing for her the night before, and paint the rest of the box like a next.

Mina was returning to her room after a long day. Her feet were hurting and she slipped off her shoes as she walked in. She put her shoes and art supplies aside, laying down on the couch. She yawned some and decided a small nap was needed. Besides, Damian didn't specify when he was getting back so she believed she had time for a small nap. She pulled a blanket over herself, and fell right to sleep.

When the box was finished and fully dried, he opened the box again, smiling at the ring nestled in it. He put the box in his pocket, very carefully, and left his room. He headed quietly to Mina's room and gently opened the door. He smiled at the sight of her sleeping on her couch. He crept over to him, sitting on the edge of her couch, just brushing her hair softly so she could continue to sleep. He again summoned the little sparrow he'd had the night before. He pulled out the ring box and put it down on the arm of the couch. The little sparrow landed right over its portrait, singing softly to Mina.

The little sparrow smiled softly as she slept. She felt the familiar, gentle tough of a certain lovestruck prince, and some soft singing. It kept her comfortably asleep for a while longer before beginning to wake, yawning softly.

As Mina began to wake up, Damian's pulse started to pick up. This would be the turning point; whether she said yes or no, this would lead to new things. The sparrow kept singing to Mina, drawing her attention to the painted box and its contents.

Mina smiled some, hearing more of the song, but she kept her sleepy eyes on Damian. "Welcome back Damian. Was time out enjoyable?" she asked before finally looking to the singing sparrow.

Damian nodded and smiled back at Mina. As she looked down at the sparrow, he held his hand out and the sparrow jumped into it, revealing the box.

Mina yawned again and saw the box. She blinked some and took the box into her hands. "What's this, Damian?"

Mina looked to him quizzically before doing so. She let out a loud gasp, covering her mouth some as the beautiful ring was revealed. The shining amethyst stone flanked by the two small gem wings. "It... It's so beautiful..."

Damian smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind Mina's ear. He moved so he was on one knee in front of the couch and he took Mina's hand. "Mina, will you marry me?"

Mina gasped again as Damian got down on one knee and proposed to her. She sat there, watching the prince before smiling, starting to cry. She almost tackled him to the floor, hugging him. "Yes! Yes I will!"
