That just confused him all the more really, different types of drow? Now how did that one work? He'd thought there were drow, and then there was everything else but his little mind moved onto other topics relatively quickly. "Really?! We gots to get one then. Think we could find one at the marketplace? Mr. Malik calls them suckers, I think..."
Of course he got defensive. "So? It's got to be a good thing. You only cover up stuff when it's yucky or to keep it safe." At the mention of work, however, he hopped off his father's lap and toddled over to the bookshelf, pulling a red bound book off and coming back over to replop in Daddy's lap before he opened the book and began to write. It was a lot like Kieran's journal but it was for practicing his writing. His name was written in childish script on the cover and he had been so proud the first time he'd been able to do the whole thing by himself, with only a tiny bit of help from Zara.
"Z-y-k-a-r-i-e-l I-n-t-h-a-r-a," The scratching of a quill filled the room. He looked up for a minute. "Daddy? How come elves got such long names, 'cept for Mr. Malik and Miss Piper? Mine's fifteen whole letters!"

He ruffled the boys hair as he commented on such things that little children would learn to comprehend fully one day. But onto the other little subject. "I suppose so. A good thing to say indeed when you're trying to be stratigical." Turning back to his own work as the boy toddler off and back, indeed taking him up on his suggestion.
So then, a few blissful quiet minutes of working time for Sevilin before little questions demanded his attention and answers. "Well...that's your given name and then your house name. Technically your name is only eight letters long. But with the house name on it does get longer." Though him, why did elves have long name sometimes? "Because they look better that way. Don'tcha think?" Kid lingo, wasn't it cute? "And if that's the case, Malikhai has a long name too."

A grin and a stretch, before getting himself up.
"and we'll need to get our son prepared. his magic lessons will be starting soon. Would you like to sit in on them, or woudl you like me to monitor them?"

"Being spoiled am I?" Yes over the years she had merely learned to accept it. Ever independent Piper could indeed kick back and let someone else do something for her. Though of course before she made decisions these days, she was always bond checking on thier son. Never knew when a child would be needy and well, it was a left over thing from when he was still an infant. Sometimes it was quite handy. But she got herself up from the table, dinner left in its usual Piper picked over state, and she gave him a smile and a raise of an eyebrow. "Oh you mean those magic lessons that you and I are still in little debating sessions? And I'd say whomever gets to sit in is the one who isn't busy."

A slight shake of his head, heading down to the spas.
"and I rarely get to spoil you anymore. Might as well indulge when i get the chance."
Getting himself undressed, rather casually, and yet flaunting all at the same time. that semi-seduction that he did so instinctivly.

"No I mean the part about how long these sessions are and what not, seeing as he is indeed a toddler." Crossing her arms lightly as she followed, merely giving him a smirk as well. "Well..that is true, rare would indeed be the word. I guess I have to let you do so every now and then to keep you from feeling guilty." And of course watching him as he devulged himself from his clothes in that way that he liked to do just to get the gold to spark in her eyes because he knew he could. Piper debated pushing him in the water for it. Though she was no stranger to the game either, thus undressing herself in that particular manner she had developed and had learned also that hip length hair was a great device to cover what one knew was there. No secrets yet it made for a nice effect. Oh what the hell, she'd push him in anyway. Thus walking over to him an a hand to his already scratched back, giving a shove. Hot water was gonna sting those anyway might as well get it over with. Though yes, she was sporting some bruising as well from thier indulgences, not that she paid them any mind.

Almost a good plan. the secon dher hand touched his back, despite how alluring she was being, siren like almost...he whipped around, his hand snagging her wrist when she shoved, bringing her in the spa with him with a large splash. though coming out of the water with a loud hiss, yes, that did sting those scratches...before lounging back against the edge with a slight grin.
"Feels good to relax in here a bit, doesn't it."

A little yelled as he pulled her in too...should of seen that one coming, really after all this time you think she'd know that he would try to make her suffer the same fate. Thus coming up with her hair in discord, plastered to her face. Yes that was also the drawback to her hair and one of those 'I should hack it back to where it was' factors. Though she did give a chuckle at him, despite his little one up to her. "It's just like a cat." In reference to his hissing of course and followed by another chuckle. Taking a moment to slip underwater so she could come back up and smooth her hair back off of her face and tuck it behind her ears. But a sigh, lounging back as well, letting her arms splay the sides of the spa. Oh look, he was avoiding the subject now. She'd let him slip, thus a fond smile over to him. "Yes indeed A'mael. It's always better down here with company anyway. I should scratch you up more so you want to indulged in lighter days more often."

Arthur watched Isle carefully when he swung his sword sideways at her, and he knew that she would duck it was easier than just jumping back which would allow him another chance to strike her. So as his movements were in action he tried his best to watch her own, using her foot to catch his own and brought herself closer to him by bending her knee, a smart move really, then when she popped up on his left he turned his attention towards her and saw her sword coming down from over her shoulder. So in order to counter her move he quickly twisted his blade in his left hand and brought it back by bringing his arm backwards like he was going to punch someone; once Isle's blade connected with Arthur's the elf shifted his feet so his upper body was facing her a little, then he quickly crouched down and as he did he spun around like a top while he stuck out his foot to trip her up. He kind of figure it out that she like to fight close so he had to keep her off balanced.

A little gasp from her as she felt his foot strike her ankle, the quick move indeed tipping her off balance. But instead of allowing herself to fall completely she grabed out to his clothing and pulled herself forward tossing her sword of his head in the process to free up her other hand, both hands then braced on his shoulders as she flipped over his head to land in a crouch behind him and then roll forward to avoid any attack that may be following her, snatching her sword up from the sand as she did so, taking stance again as he would once more come at her.
Only for Isle to fend him off with a spin attack that was followed up by a few forward thrusts in quick succession, and in accompaniment she had grabbed her dagger from her boot, letting it thrust forward in quick swipes when her blade was drawn back for another set of strikes. She wasn't ambidexterious and her left dagger weilding hand was in fact a little slower, Isle having right hand dominance. But she was effective in dual weilding. Quick strike after strike, driving him back in his stance and unrelenting with her assult, feet constantly switching up and her movement constant forward as well to keep her safe from an offensive strike to her ankles again.

Arthur was a little happy that he was able to catch Isle off balance but was kind of upset that it didn't follow through, she was too quick and was calculating every move he made to find a way to get out of it. Though that was a apart of her which impressed him the most, she was trained very well and his respect for her was growing more which each dodge and each attack she made. So after she flipped over him by using his clothing as a key element he quickly got back into attack mode as Isle got back into her stance again, but before he could even make one move she went at him with a spin attack, of course he dodged it back doing a few back flips then right when he got back into his stance he had to defend again by her forward thrusts by her sword, which was accompanied by her dagger.
She wanted to play with two weapons now? Well that was fine with Arthur. So when he had a break in her forward thrusts he quickly reached in his right sleeve and pulled out his own dagger and used it in his left hand to defend against Isle's. Each time she attacked with her dagger, he blocked and then tried to counter attack with his own; rarely did he put it up against her sword, that would be a bad idea. But he watched Isle as she went about her assault, always moving forwards and moving her feet around so she wouldn't be tripped which she always attacked with her sword then dagger. "Nice offence you got going there Isle." He said with a light grin on his face then at the moment she came to attack him he jumped back a few feet then dashed forwards, dragging his katana on the ground and brought it up hard swiping it in front of her to pick up some dust so she could be blinded for a bit.

"and I don't sound like a cat. It is much better with good company. though I wonder if anyone else has been using these. they might help that uptight Zahara to relax a little."

She smirked through the practical webbing of mithril thier swords were making. "I try." Though as he jumped back, she had as well in reflexive action, knowing that when one created space they often didn't leave distance long, using what they created for attack. She had the best teachers after all in this area that Andal could provide. But she did avert her eyes and let them close as she got sand kicked up in her face, but rather than let it disable her she dropped and rolled backwards and into a backhand spring only to throw up a hand. "Skys to my aid!"
The air around her hand shifting before a wind kicked up and a fog seemed to form and settle just above them before it actually started to lightly rain on the pair and the arena. So not only did it wash the sand from her eyes and person but was also turning the ground to that mucky sinking kind of sand. Hm, change of terrain anyone? "How underhanded of you, but a good tactic when needed...but let's see how you fair now..." Challenge in her voice indeed. After all, a Rainsong's experteise lay in the ability to create and control weather conditions.
She hissed at him in imitation of his earlier noise of discomfort. "Sounds like a cat to me." And of course having to give a giggle after that just because she was proving a point and hey it was indeed kinda funny. Though as usual she mellowed herself least he start to take offense to her teasing. But a look at the water, playing with it's surface for a moment with her fingers after his little statement. Hm, that wasn't such a bad idea was it? These things could do wonders. "I think anyone else is too skittish to come down here by themselves. Though you're probably right...nothing like hot water to mellow out a cranky drow." Notice the look she gave Malik on that one as if to say, 'aren't I exactly right about that'. Malik was an example after all. "Though it might help her just to get away from everyone for a while I imagine. Maybe I'll drag her out with me one day, perhaps bring Isle along...girl's day out sort of thing. You know how us women can be after all."

A slight chuckle.
"just have to make sure the steel isn't all at your fingertips. But it might do you all some good. being cooped up in here may be fine for me, but I know you ladies enjoy some time awya to shop, not have to watch the children, things like that."
Closing his eyes lightly.
"Still think it sounded more like a snake then a cat."

He fixed his hair then went about massacring his name in different ways, using Kariel as a nickname and erasing letters from both his first and last name. "I know that, silly. But Malikhai and Lharika and Zara are all long too." He wrote his name out again and hten tilted his head. "Kariel looks pretty good too. But then my name wouldn't start with the same letter as Zara's. And that might make her sad."
A moment passed and he started to write his parent's names then count them up too. "Mine's eight, Zara's is..." brief pause as he counted. "six, and yours is, seven. Six, seven eight! We're all in a row Daddy! Isn't that neat? See, that's proof we're s'posed to be together." He grinned, " As long as you got your proof, you're covered and can convince anyone of anything."
