I didn't need to change my password as it already has numbers and letters. My brother made it up for me back in 1994 when we got our first computer with aol dial up on it, lol.
I have decided to go with a zipper on Kali's little dress. It will just be easier, I agree. 3nodding

AARRRGG! I found out today that our house has mold! The really bad kind. This is costing us a fortune to fix. Lately I feel like we are just hemorrhaging out all the money we've spent years saving. burning_eyes
*sigh*
I know this should be in the venting thread but I hadn't posted in here yet today and I wanted to at least peek in. dramallama

kool ken Sorry about the mold in your house, Lisa gonk Has it affected your health? Not to a huge extent - but the kids have been getting colds pretty frequently lately. It could be related.. Ah well. Another adventure in home ownership. wink razz

In my old school there was mold and I did get cold quite frequently during those years when I went there so I think it could be related. Long exposure to mold can cause allergies and respiratory illness like asthma so it's good idea to fix it as soon as possible.

Yeah - we're in the middle of having it fixed right now -- cleaning out all the vents, installing a new vapor shield in the crawl space, and sanitizing. (luckily it wasn't in the walls) We'll spray for mold once a year now too in order to make sure it won't come back.

Good thing it didn't get into the walls or floor. Those are really costly places because you have to tear everything down.

Yum! I think I made some seriously delicious dinner today. It's a moose stew with garlic, onions, carrots, winter mushrooms (trumpet chantarelle) and blue cheese. All ingredients are fresh and local, even the blue cheese is made here in my country. And the best thing is, that only thing I've bought was the blue cheese everything else is acquired either from the forest or garden. 3nodding
Do you guys use/eat ingredients that are produced locally? I try to as much as possible, but it's not easy since there are some products that just can't be produced or grown in my country due to the winter and such.

Haha, no I didn't shoot it. My boyfriends uncle did and he gave some meat to us.
We have some local stuff like vegetables in the nearby grocery stores and so on. It's easier and cheaper for the stores as well since you don't need to store it a lot in beforehand and the transport costs are much lower.

I don't like buying meat which literally stares at you. One time I went to a herbal shop and... there are some things which I can handle and some things I can't. Dead turtles (without the shell) is one of the things I can't handle. I almost went gonk (literally) before walking quickly out of the store.

I could definitely do better... although we did go to the farmer's market more this year than in years past. The winter does make it harder to stick to only local foods.
