Kai mewed as she had the night before, knowing that Hakaru enjoyed the sound, and just left her arms around her fiancee's neck.
Damian changed quickly and left the castle, heading towards the town. It would take a little time to walk there, and he'd have to look for someone who could help him make the ring.

Hakaru smiled some, hearing his mermaid mew again. He thought the noise was adorable. He straightened himself and took her hand, leading her back inside so they could be alone again for a while.
Mina traveled throughout the castle, sketching things, people, animals, or just about anything that'd sit still for a while.
The market was at its normal hustle and bustle. Many were buying fabric or wolven goods. The wolves who had set up stalls bowed their heads as Damian passed, showing respect to their crown prince before going back to their businesses.

Kai followed Hakaru back into the cabin, a knowing smile on her face.
Damian nodded back to every wolf he passed, smiling at some of the ones he knew better. Finally, he reached a jeweler's shop and he gently opened the door, looking around. [OOC:] Wanna be the shopkeeper?

The old craftsman looked up and smiled his crooked smile at the prince. "What can I do for you, lad?" he asked, leaning over the counter. A few wolves were working around the shop, some cleaning, others doing apprentice work, but all busy.

Damian smiled back at the craftsman and nodded, coming up to the counter. "I was wondering if you could set this into a ring band for me?" he asked, producing the amethyst from a pouch in his jacket and putting it on the counter.

The craftsman studied the amethyst, nodding some. "Excellent stone you got, lad. Who's the lucky lady?" he asked, laughing some before going back to business. "So what kind of band were you thinkin'?"

Damian smiled blandly, but didn't offer up information on who his, hopefully, future fiancee was. He just answered the craftsman's second question: "I was thinking just a plain silver one. With the stone front and center."

The jeweler nodded some. "A mighty fine choice. Want any engravings? Make it special?" he asked, getting out a book with gem cuts. If Damian wanted it cut a certain way.

Damian tilted his head, thinking. "Actually, yes, I would like to make an engraving," he said, though he hadn't planned on doing so. "Could you have the words, To my Little Sparrow, engraved on the inside of the band?"

The craftsman nodded, making small notes and smiled, pulling out a box. "Since it's for a lady, and I bet a proposal, I think I can misplace a few of these little stones." he said, opening the box. Inside were many different stones all shaped into very tiny wings. "Give your love a little lift?" he asked, showing the wing stones to Damian, letting him pick out any he'd like.

Damian raised his eyebrows and looked into the box. He was impressed by how the wings were crafted, and he soon enough found a pair that were the same deep blue as Mina's eyes. He carefully picked them out and held them in his palm for a moment, continuing to inspect them.

The craftsman smiled, watching Damian inspect the sky blue wings. "Shall I put them on there, lad?" he asked, marking the amethyst, planing on where to cut it just right.

Damian smiled and nodded. "Yes please," he said, dropping them down on the counter for the man to use.

The craftsman nodded and scooped up the wings. After a few hours, the craftsman returned, the ring completed and looking absolutely perfect for the little sparrow. "So what kind of box do you want, lad?"

Damian had been waiting patiently for the ring to be finished, and when the man came back, he stood up and took a look. The ring was absolutely perfect, he knew. Smiling, he looked up at the craftsman. "Can I get just a plain white box?"
