It seems that there's a world wide panic in the markets. I can see it even in my job at the bank. A lot of people call us and ask how they can sell all of their stocks. Which is bit silly at this point since you'll be selling them with huge loss, but people aren't thinking rationally at the moment. *shakes head*

I'm thinking now might be a good time to buy some, if one was so inclined.
Are you the Warren Buffet of Finland?

Well I'm actually planning on investing on stocks but I'm far from being Warren Buffet. xd I'm a total newb when it comes to stocks and trading, but I still have some common sense to buy when things are cheap. Afterall the economy will rise again eventually.

Yeah, I agree it will rise again. I had to laugh to myself at the family in front of me. The dad was chatting with the cashier. Apparently they had just lost their home last month in a fire and lost everything. So what were they buying at Walmart? $8,000 worth of stuff to go four wheeling with.

They will help this economy turn around!!! Ya gotta love 'em!

As for me, I will do my part by not cutting back on my extravagant lifestyle. rofl

@ Lily: When you do become the Warren Buffet of Finland, I wouldn't mind a trip to Finland! wink

It's sparked mine because the money we've been saving for the kids college education is going up in smoke. burning_eyes A good chunk of it anyway.

At least having worked in the mortgage banking business, I knew enough not to go in over our heads with any weird financing when we bought our house. As long as my husband's company doesn't lose it's funding we should be ok...

It's scary though. The company my husband works for is a small start up so it relies on investors to keep it going until it can make a profit on it's own. With the way things are though - the investors may be more stingy.

So this economy stuff does make me tired too. But not in a bored way. xp

I will just never understand why people agree to anything with a variable interest rate anyway. Even though your monthly payments are usually slightly more, at least your APR will not balloon up so much. rolleyes
