Collowrath I'm trying to put into words, yet again, why "but G~ use the word too!" is a fail argument to make for using the term. You know, self-determination, not our discussion, the history of the word is enough, historical baggage, etc. I shall be posting again in the petition as soon as things quiet down in this house. I hope I can be more active now that things are settling down here. You can point out the way some people use the word ****** amongst themselves.

I ran into someone online who uses the word G~ in her username. When I politely informed her why it wasn't such a great thing to do, she got all indignant and blamed the "crappy education" system. Oh, and she likes to use the word G~ because she identifies with the lifestyle. xp

I was planning to - it's a parallel that I think Americans and Canadians at least will readily understand.

I keep getting christian chain mail. I get an entire E-mail about god with the threat that the E-mail is a test and if I don't send it on, then I don't put him first in my life. neutral
People sure are inventive now!

Apparently, I was named the Patron Saint of Hangovers last night. Because in the morning I'm there with food and water to make people feel better.
My role as a Dionysian, I suppose.

I'm getting to the point in my life where I'm being asked as a reference for people's employment letters. I'm 20. WTF?

About a half a year back I sort pulled a disappearing act, mostly because I had a lot of stuff going on at the time. I still do mind you, but I'm gonna try and poke my nose in every few days at least.
So...hi again! biggrin

Kuroiban About a half a year back I sort pulled a disappearing act, mostly because I had a lot of stuff going on at the time. I still do mind you, but I'm gonna try and poke my nose in every few days at least. So...hi again! biggrin Welcome back! Whoo, this week has been crazy. Aced my test and lab, passed a physical readiness test, and got some good news from back home about my grandmother. So next month I make rank! I'll be FC3 as of January 16th!

I'd e-mail the person who sent it to you and ask whether they think God really wants you to break the law (see Romans 13) by forwarding a chain letter - an act which violates the TOS of most e-mail service providers.

Weird question brought up due to a new RP character who is French...
I need precise French, preferably Parisian French, for the term 'whirling sword' or 'whirl/spin the sword', and I'm so far removed from my French education I can't even conjugate a verb anymore.
Anyone around who can do that naturally, without google/babelfish/whatever - because the different online literal translators are all spitting out different phrases, and none of them look -right-...

I'm no help with French. German perhaps, but I claim no fluency, nor even a moderate vocabulary. Thinking of that, better to ask Fiddler's Green for German rather than myself. lol

Taliah I'm no help with French. German perhaps, but I claim no fluency, nor even a moderate vocabulary. Thinking of that, better to ask Fiddler's Green for German rather than myself. lol I end up picking up JUST enough vocab of random languages to be generally polite to random people...but not enough to be particularly useful in anything particular. I know thank you, however, in German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, French, and English! OOH! I can also talk about how I like ice cream using the German language!
