"Not yet. there are somethings that need to be sorted out first. They have thier basic lessons for you boys, but we need to find a time, and, I need to make sure you are ready to handle some of the things involved."
Setting himself down with food, taking a closer look at Malikhai. why was he rubbing his eyes so much and sniffling? then patting a seat for Zykariel.
"I can't teach you that, Zykariel...I have a special tool I use for that..and the cost to use it is far too high."
Then a grin at Piper eating her food and another glance at Isle.
"Arthur, go downstairs to the second room on the left. there's a case in there of a yellow liquid, bring it up here would you?"
then back to the boys.
"In order to use certain kinds of magic, sometimes you need special things. for example, Zykariel's magical path has a spell that allows him to summon people from great distances to himself, but he can't use the spell unless he has a pearl. Understand? I'm going to go over some of these things with you, and see if you'd be up to handling them."

Arthur was busy watching everyone quietly seeing how they react and whatnot, this was because he basically had nothing else special to do but there were times where he watch Isle with a worried look; he really hoped that the leaf could help her out. Though when Malik asked him to go get something from the basement he nodded lightly and left the dinning room and in no time at all he was in the room seeking out what he was asked to get and after a few minutes he found it. Moments later he returned to the dining hall and placed what was asked for on the table then sat down back into his seat. "There you go Malik. But may I ask what is it for?"

He toddled over and took the seat next to Malik as he'd been more or less encouraged to do by the patting and folded his hands on the table. It worried him to leave Daddy and Mother alone together but then his attention lit on Malik and didn't waver. "Okay..." He'd find a way to learn, there had to be another way. Daddy always said there was more than one way to bleach a floor, after all.
Okay, tools needed to get the job done. Daddy needed his fingers to do runes. Concept grasped. He tilted his head. "I need a pearl to summon people to me? Will one of those work?" Pointing at Lark's pearls. "Summoning people would be fun." He gave a grin, showing that he wasn't serious about it but it was all in good fun. "What can Malikhai do with a pearl?"
Lark shook her head. "You can't have it." Walking over she tugged on piper's arm and whispered, "Piper I've got a secret to tell you but I don't wanna do it here. Will you come with me real quick?"
"I don't think so, I think something is really wrong here Sevilin. You can't let this go on, he's become so brisk and snappy and it's not because of a lack of reverie either. I'm worried about him." She slid the rest of the shavings onto the paper and then carted it off to another table where it wouldn't bother him then perched on the edge of his. "Are you listening to me?"

"It's for Isle. helps with the adaptation process. It's a concoction we use on captured surface bred and human slaves, makes them adjust faster which means we put them to work faster or we get to watch them battle to bloody deaths quicker for our entertainment. It's rather nasty tasting and sometimes has side effects. why I didn't use it on piper...but I started messing with it after her sister's first trip and stay. I think the only side effect it may have now is it'll trigger her eyes light gathering thing for about an hour and she won't be able to shut it off."

Isle listened as she was discussed more or less. Oh fun, Malik had some lovely little potions for this sort of thing? Leave it up to him to have something like that. "As I always say...try everything one. If you survive well then you walk away more knowledgeable than before. And I don't like feeling like a lizard." A blink. "Dragon." She corrected. Besides...glowy eyes for a bit of time, no problem. Long as she didn't get a white wash.
"Could play marbles with it." They were toddlers...serious was hardly something they did well, except when they were in trouble or something bad was happening of course. But he laid his fork to his now empty plate and rubbed at his eyes again.
Piper was watching Malikhai. What was that? Signs of getting sick or had he gotten into something? Though she wasn't feeling any distress from the child. And she had been about to perhaps give the boy a once over before a tug at her arm got her attention and she looked to her sister. "Alright." Getting herself up, knowing it wouldn't take too long and Malikhai would still be there.
"Yes, I'm listening to you and I hear what you're saying." He sighed, oh how to go about breeching his little thought pattern. "He's not like that in general...he's just like that to you, Zahara. He's the same loving child he's always been to me, if not a tad more clingy." Trying to be casual about it so that she wouldn't jump down his throat. "Do anything to upset him lately?"

Arthur nodded lightly and smiled slowly, it seemed that the drow actually had something pretty useful for a change that wont leave any bad side affects to the user. "Well Malik looks like you have created something pretty useful, good job on that." So slowly he got up and took the potion and went over to the weary surface elf and opened it up but paused for a moment. "Well then this the best thing for you to take then Isle so here you better get up..." He set the potion down to help Isle sit up in her seat then took it in his hand again and leaned forwards a little. "Open up Isle please?" He asked and waited until she did then pressed the potion to her lips and tilted it back letting the liquid run out of the bottle and into her mouth. "When you don't need anymore just give me some sort of signal or noise so I know." Well he didn't want her to choke on the stuff that would be totally stupid and a waste of the potion itself, so he took his time while allowing the potion to leave the bottle and it went down Isle's throat.

She followed Piper out of the room and into the sitting room barely out of hearing distance from the dining room and kitchen. Once there though she put her hands behind her back and rocked on her toes, unwilling to meet Piper's gaze. "I'm worried about Malikhai Piper!" she finally blurted. "This morning he wasn't his usual happy self when he woke up and he can't stop rubbing at his eyes but when I asked him what was wrong he completely freak out. I dont' like it and I don't want him to get sick. Isle being sick is bad enough." She chewed on her bottom lip as tears formed in her eyes. Looking up at Piper she whispered sadly "I don't want Malikhai to die."
"But don't you want to do a neat spell, like me? Maybe you can...fly if you have one. Or maybe you can make stuff out of nothing like that man downstairs."
"And just what are you saying? He's a toddler, he doesn't remember half the things that are done to him until they pop back up in some random reverie or other." Hmm, maybe that was the answer. She thought about it for a moment but couldn't think of anything she might have done to him that would have upset him that he might have suddenly remembered. "The only thing I did that might have irritated him, I didn't even do. You left him, I just dealt with him adn refused to play into his fit throwing. He could hardly be mad at me for that." Then she turned it back around on Sevilin. "A tad more clingy? And you don't think that's circumspect? He's acting strange and we...you need to do something about it."

"Okay. for You, Zykariel..the spells a conjurer uses that require components mean you have to be fine with handling pearls, fragments of solidified energy, and of course the occasional peice of hot coal, earth, ice, and coalesed air."
A slight grin.
"and for you, Malikhai..an illusionist uses prisms, and fragments of mind, which are solidified emotional and mental states. mostly those are used for spells of fear, or pain. For both of you, there are spells you'll learn to create these things. the solid eneryg for you Zykariel and th emotional states for you, Malikhai. are you both comfortable with having to use these things?"
though another concerned look to his son.
"Is something the matter with your eyes, son?"

Hm...now she had to negotiate herself into sitting position. Yes, Isleandra was very much like a lizard on a cold rock on a snowy and cloudy day in the middle of winter. But it seemed Galesen was once again going to be chivalrous...and to every extent of the word. Hell, all she had to do was swallow the junk...which yes did take horribly nasty and got a cough from her once it was down.
She watched her adoptive sister a moment then when she was done, Piper merely gave a light smile and pulled the girl into a hug. "Yes I noticed, but I'm sure it's not that bad dear. Not something to die from at all...we're elves we're made of tough stuff." Brushing a hand through the girls hair in comforting manner. After all, after loosing her birth parents she was sensitive on such an issue. "I promise you that Malikhai and Isleandra are both going to be fine. Alright?"
"I'd like to fly, that'd be really really fun." Though his attention turned back to his father as he took to explaining things to them again. Solidified things and fragments...so they'd be using something like rocks or crystals...but made of...other things. "Do I gotta do only the bad ones?" He didn't think he'd like just being made to do the less happy things and what not. And yes another rub at his eyes and blinking at his father. Hm. A shake of his head. "Nope." Well, he didn't consider anything wrong really. Matter of a toddler's opinion...and they were always fine.
Yeah right...of course she didn't see the error of her own ways. "Just stop trying to get him to do things, okay? And yes it is my thing to worry about and deal with and I will...it's certinally not a horribly unhealthy thing. Children are clingy sometimes. At least properly raised children. He's just attached to me right now and probably thinks girls are icky or something."

Well of course Arthur had to be all chivalrous about all of this, why leave a beautiful woman like Isle to try and get up and take some nasty potion when she could barely move at all? So the elf did what he could and when Isle started to drink the potion he waited until he heard a signal of sorts, which was a cough, and pulled the bottle away and placed it on the table. "Hey Isle you alright?" He asked as he pulled his chair up and sat down so they were more eye to eye, he cared about her well being and didn't want anything bad to happen to her; and after what happened with Zahara he could sure some company, not in a 'I'll get you into my bed by the end of the day' kind of company but just the regular kind he enjoys being around just for having fun and what not.

Lark hugged Piper back tightly and sniffled, even as a tear or two traced its way down her cheeks. "Are you sure? Baby brother wasn't s'posed to die either but he did." But Piper did indeed seem to be sure and that was really what the little elf needed to hear. She pulled back and wiped her eyes. "As long as you're sure. You promise right?" she insisted.
"Pearls. I think I can. They're just little round balls really and balls aren't hard to use." The other stuff he thought about. "Well, I can hold a really hot, fresh cookie and sometimes those burn and I can hold a really cold glass of milk and that's almost like ice. I can hold rocks too, and dirt, though Daddy doesn't like it and I don't know what the coleashed air is but I can blow really hard and hold my breath, does that count?"
"I'm not a girl, I'm Zara. There's a big difference. And why isn't Malikhai going through this state as well? You're taking this awfully lightly, do you even care? Your son could be going insane." Another shake of her head and she sighed. "Alright. I won't ask him to do anything else. Unless of course I'm watching him, then I have to."

then a glance at arthur, and a shake of his head lightly...before turning his attention to Malikhai.
"then why are you constantly rubbing your eyes?"
and a look at Zykariel.
"And you are very hostile toward Zahara. care to explain why?"
Hey, using Malvolence to contact kids ment easy to catch things that a child didn't think to hide in thier own heads.

She gave a nod as her only answer as she slumped back against the back of her chair. Hey it was better than practically laying on the table now wasn't it? Though that was a nasty thing indeed. "Thanks Galesen..." Yeah she was just going to sit here for a moment...until that lizard feeling went away some...and hopefully it would.
Piper wiped at the girls cheeks. The child really did worry...it was kind of cute. "I promise, and you have my word. And you know I never break my promises. Now no more tears. I'm going to look him over anyway, just in case, okay?" Offering her hand up. "Come on now, before breakfast gets cold."
"You haven't been Zara for a bit now. You've not even been Zahara, you've been Mother." Because he was blunt like that and frankly she irriatated him some these days with her constant cat and mouse play with discussions and circumstances. "Because they are individuals and Zykariel is a bit older..."
Though boy did she cross the line a bit with him, he even stood up from his chair and actually got into her personal space, that serious look in his eyes. "Don't you ever even think I don't care about him..." That was not something you wanted to say around Sevilin...that boy was pretty much his life. But Zahara had crossed not one but two lines. "And he is not going insane...he is just fine. You're the one blowing this out of prioportion." And you never compared son to father...after all, Sevilin didn't want his negative aspects transposed on his son and yes, Sevilin knew he was personally crazy.
"Okay then." Because if he could do the other things too then he was good with it. Mommy always said that there had to be some bad things so some good thigns could exist. But a shrug at his father about his eyes. "I blink too fast?" After all, how to you explain something that first you don't really get and second you can't really tell if it's even happening. "Things go by fast." ANd that was a good thing right? Because then he could learn to track a sword.

She finally felt like it would be okay to return the dining room and she nodded to Piper. "I'm holding you to that promise Piper and if either of them do...you know, then I'm never coming back down here." Nodding her head and walking back intot he dining room before plopping back into her seat, happily eating a piece of toast, the previous emergency all but forgotten.
He shrugged, "I'm mad at her. When she apologizes and makes it better, I'll be nice again." It made sense to him. Stealing affection and usurping his position was a serious crime. She didn't have enough love so maybe Daddy didn't either and he couldn't risk losing his father's too. That would really devastate him.
"Then act like you care and stop brushing this off. He's being really mean for no reason, Sevilin and I think you need to put a stop to it." She wasn't worried, she knew the drow in front of her, even if he was in her face and personal space would never hit her unless she raised a hand to him first. Instead she plopped her hands on her hips and glared at him. "I dont' care what he calls me, when he first learned the word he used it all the time. It's not a big deal what my title is." She sighed and crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow at him. "What do you intend to do about this? What if he starts being mean to you? Isolating you? You don't know if this is a single case or not and if you don't n** it in the bud now, you won't be able to later."

Malik reguarded his son with a curious expression.
"what do you mean everything is moving real fast?"
then to Zykariel.
"does she know she did something wrong? she my not know your mad at her for something. did you try to tell her at the time she was doing something to upset you? What is plain to you, may not be to someone else."
