"None taken. I know the devious, backstabbing, corpse piling, treacherous, hatefilled den of vipers well enough not to be offended."
A small grin, and he leaned back in his seat some, looking between the two.
"So, Keiran...is it a common trait for elves of teh moon to have fingers like yours?"
A gesture to the blue figretips.
"Or is that the marking of some long since past adventure?"

Kieran gave a grin and looked to his fingers a moment, before tapping on the table's surface. "Quite. A common thing among moon elves indeed to have either an over all blueish tent, or blue tinting at fingertips, ear tips and sometimes cheek bones, and of course there are some moon elves who don't get any of it at all. Or some like Piper who only gain a little of the color." A soft chuckle from the elf though. "My adventuring days are over really...I'm more of the full time scholar and ruler now."
Some like Piper who used to have a little of the color, her mind corrected softly to herself. But of course she didn't say that out loud, merely settled herself in her chair, listening as they went about question and answer time again. These true were truly information seekers.
"But tell me something as well Malik...do the Tier'Dal tend to handle sunlight better than their cousins?" Many a mention from his daughter about being above ground. It was intriguing.

"We handle sunlight as easily as you do. we just don't like it. the nearest neightbor to Neriak is Freeport, a human port city. we have our hook into it both as one of our master illusionists is the leader og the mage guild, as well as running the Dismal Rage, a Innoruuk church in teh slums. we have agreements with Lucan De'Lere, whom we made a lich, in return for being unmolested. adn Freeport is an ocean city on the edge of a savana...we have contacts with the Crushbone orcs of the Fayderwer, the continent of the dwarf, gnome, and other elf nations. and we have a uotpost in teh plains of the continent of Kunark, home to the Iksars. Sunlight is not a danger or a real problem to us as far as travel. however int the daylight we do stick out very noticably, so we move by night when we can."
Then a glance at Piper.
"She had similar coloring? I hadn't noticed any."
Onyx stumbled forward, catching himself on teh windowsill as his wings flared out for counter balance, before reaching behind him on his back and picking up Bode by her shirt and situating her in the front side of him.
"So I see...adn what have you been up to little sister?"
Simon moved down stairs, jut wandering, remembering. being borken in the break rooms..being taught to kill as an expert gladiator and assassin. learning spirutalism from an older female slave, on whom he'd had a crush. after all when you your eighteen and the only woman you ever see is still younger in her early fourties, who can you not.
So many torments, so many years under Piper's boot. He'donly escaped by faking death, and only then by comsuming a certian alchemical potion that gave all the appearnaces of death.
"And here I am again...I hope this time things go well."

He got a slight kick under the table...why did he have to bring the attention back to her like that? In all truth, Malik had seen every inch of her and had he ever noticed any blue tinting before? No...because it wasn't there anymore...well maybe the slightest bit was still visible but you really really had to look hard.
Kieran simply nodded. "On one of her ear tips." he didn't think anymore on it though, after all she wore than bandana for who knew how long...and it was probably natural that Malik wouldn't notice any tint of color to her. But his attention was focused on Malik really at the moment. "Sounds like the Tier'Dal are a little more free than their cousins. Your weapons then...I take it don't need the Underdark?"

"Wee!" She giggled. "I ahven't been up! Silly brother! I'vve been downstairs, outside with Daddy!" She waved her hands in the air, announcing, "We made presents!"
She stood up, put her hadns over Onyx's eyes. "Close your eyes! No peeking!" She reached under her belt and took out the necklace, which she threw over her broither's head, setting the stone in the middle of collar bone. "Tah dah! You can open you eyes now!"
She did the same tihng in simalr fashion to Moonstone, who had just wondered back in.
"All right, I'm closing my eyes." He felt sometihng being placed around his neck, and opened his eyes to see the red and black beaded necklace. "Well now, what's this?"

"No, our weapons don't need the underdark to be effective or created. we infact use Mythril, as other elves might, or Berylium, a substance that the dwarves use for thier plate. though we blacken ours. either though dark blessings or spellcraft, such as mine, or through heating and dyes. Our blades are swift, deadly, and strong tempered...like most other elfcraft. Though there is no weapon more deadly in combat then a Tier'Dal blade. our weapons are made lighter than even most other elfcraft, and they that gives us an advantage in speed. or they are imbuded with arcane power. you will almost never find a Tier'dal weapon that it's magical or poisoned."
Another glance at Piper..he knew which ear now.
Onyx looked at his brother, and shook his head lightly.
"You know, for being the wise one, you sure lack intelligence sometimes. he siad he was going to make us talismans to help in teh coming battle. these must obviously be them, made with our little Bode's help, of course."
He mussed her hair up, careful not to knock her little clips out of wack too much.
"Isn't that right lil sis?"

Kieran looked highly amused at the information that was being passed his way. And in fact he was, rather enjoying the comparisons that were going on in his head. So, seemed the Tier'Dal were a little more effective than their Drow cousins in a way. The drow in Andal still used Underdark affected blades and seemed rather...allergic...to sunlight. Except those on the Requias Peninsula that is. "Tier'Dal have come quite the ways it seems. Though it is nice to know that the races of Drow can be as varied as surface elves...no fun being all alike, now is it?" A soft chuckle to follow that. "Good to know you're on our side in this war. I wouldn't look forward to being in your war path at all."
Piper gave a slight sigh. At least they were both being relatively good in their little sharing time. Though of course she was a little tense since the coloring comment and was seemingly filtering conversation through her head, looking to see if anything else she deemed potentially bad was springing up.

Moonstone smiled. "I was just asking Bode, becuase I know she's just dying to tell us." He smiled at her. "So Bode, tell us what they are for."
Bode giggled and straightened her hair. Then she stuck her thumbs in her belt. "Onyx is a monkey!" She said with a big goofy smile on her face. "I made them! Green and white for Onyx, cause it brings out his eyes. Red and black for Moonsotne, cause hes never mean, it would be the only blood tomshow in his face!"

Malik saw that look, and gave a small grin. a little self concious was she.
"well there are very few ways into the underfoot of norrath. and only a suicidal person woudl try to storm our from gates. And most of our enemies are above ground and stay that way. they know better than to leave enterances we can exploit, so we of course, had to learn to adapt to teh surface world to combat our foes. And the various comtacts we create whie venturing into other citites and countries is invaluable."
"Though, there are some places, such as ogre or troll ecampments, that we tier'dal have learn to mold to our benifit. orges and trolls are easy to manipulate, and most other elves have learned to avoid such races. soem learn the hard way, other's by word of mouth."
"Excuse me? a monkey? what do you mean by that? I'm not a monkey!"
Crossing his arms, looking between Bode and Moonstone, with a little bit of an indignant snort about it. Monkey indeed. He was going to have a little chat with Simon about that one.

The Bowels of the castle were no place to become confused, so Eliot was carefull to keep track of where she had gone. Keeping her face cloak above her nose and over her hair, she was almost indistinguishable from the shadows. "Right then left and left again." she repeated to herself, "Right and another left..." She didn't want to get lost the next time she came down here. But for now she needed to concentrate on getting back to the surface, it seemed to be harder to get back out then it was to get in.

"Most the same thought in any other plane I've been to as well as my own home plane. We stay up, they stay down, those they use on the surface are avoided and we all really just keep quiet about it." A slight shrug. "Changing minds about things is hard...though not impossible. The Ithil'Quessir of Andal now use the term Mori'quessir instead of Tel' gothrim for drow. The former being a respectful term and the latter being condescending in its own right." And he looked off again in that way he usually did, like something had his attention, but as usual nothing was there. His attention filtering back to them he gave a grin and a nod before he stood up. "Well...more questions and answers later...I have a schedule to keep and I like to stay on it." Then a point to Piper. "I hope you're not sleeping in that bandana...it'll make your ears sit out of natural position if you wear it all the time. And nobody likes funny ears, right?" A chuckle to follow that, clearly a joke before he gave a slight wave to them both and turned his back on them, walking out and heading upstairs. He liked to keep his scheduled reveries just so.
"Haha...yeah...funny ears..." An odd little covering laugh at that...oh boy did he have to go and say that? Sure, elvish joke about ears sitting funny, but still...to her is wasn't fun anymore. And she merely watched his retreating back till he turned the corner and she sunk down in her chair a little giving a sigh that was perhaps relief. Then a look over to Malik, watching him a moment as one hand was tugging at her collar out of self distraction. "So...what do you think of him thus far..."

"Onyx is a monkey!" She smield again. "Because...um..." she taped a finger to her hin, much like Moonstone might have. "Dadyd said..um..that you were a monkey because..." She tapped a foot. "I remeber! Daddy said you needed to be swift and agile! So your spirit animals are the monkey and the snake! Moosntoens are the snake and the hawk."
Warren, silent as ever and almsot floating along the flor, was following someon he knew didn't want to be followed. She stopped a moment, and he bent down close to her ear. "Looking for soemthing?"
King Dimitri was not in need of Warren's survices today, so he was wandering around. Why he was this far underneath the castle he didn't know. But he had his trusty bag of sugar, he'd be all right. "Goosestepping your way around the nanny?"

Eliot jumped. She had thought she was quite well hidden and suddenly felt she was shaming her father and her bretheren. what would they think if they found out she had not put her talents to porper use? She slowly turned around, prepared to use her full abilities if need be.

Warren frowned. "What?" he looked behind him, expecting to see death with a scyth or something, turing back he frowned again. "Am I that scary looking?" She had given him such a look of hatered...or maybe it was horror...or shame? Man he wasn't that good at reading people.
"Look, I don't kno what you are doing here, but you aught not to be. These halls are...usually restricted."

Eliot made no reply, only continued to stare with her large grey eyes. Who is this man? she though...He was taller than her self. He seemed to be nice enough...but he did not know who or what she was, he could still prove to be her enemy. She thought that silence would be her best advantage at the moment.
