Kaori turned to Shard, she looked him straight in the eyes and slapped him on the cheek. "Listen Shard! I'm telling you right now! I'm having this" she lowered her voice so no one could hear her, "baby whether you like it or not! So tell me now, are you going to be there for me?"

Shard rubbed his sore cheek. "Of course I'm with you, Kaori," he said, truth and hurt in his eyes. "I'm hurt that you don't trust me about this."
((INTRODUCING... MARA!! shes an assassin... for whom, youl have to figure it out ;D ))
Mara sighed, humming something softly, her dulled eye searching the ruins of the town. She smmoned herblades, kicking off in search of the runaway group and that white-haired man from her past.

Kaori frowned, "It's not that I dont trust you, it's that I'm scared, you seemed so mad at me the whole way here.And now I slapped you for no reason! I am SO sorry Shard" Kaori rubbed her eyes, "Now, do you think you can forgive me?" Kaori batted her eyelashes, and a vision went through- a lady, with red hair, blades, she's up in a tree, aiming at...Shard. Kaori gasped, "Shard? We have an assasin on our heels."

Mara found her target, then jumped up in a tree. She summoned a dark bow and quivers and took aim at his heart. The girl he was talking to said something and at once her target ran off, seeming horrorfied. She followed them as they came upon the rogue group and she took aim at his heart again. This time, he whirled around, searching the trees, possibly for her? She pressed herself aginst the tree trunk.
Shard's sharp eyes scoured the trees for the assassin. "It's about time they came," he muttered, then turned to Kaori. "Kaori, I need you to stay away from me for awhile; assassins will kill anyone who gets in their way..." His voice trailed off, worry coloring his eyes.

Kaori saw a glimps of a girl, "Alright fine! But if your not at camp by sundown I'm coming to look for you." Kaori kissed his cheek and she ran off with the others.
Kika frowed, "Look what we got here, I pity the people who enjoy this job, running around playing a much more violent game of tag." She looked over at Kaori who was snifiling, as she walked over to her Kaori's eyes went a pale blue.
Kaori bit her bottom lip as a scene flashed acrossed her eyes, Shard is badly injured, and the lady has her foot over his stomach. His eyes are filled with rage as they're bickering at one another. "For the love of Pete!"

Mara gave up on the bow, and summoned a dagger. As soon as the girl left her target's side, she took aim and flung the dagger at him. The dagger hit him in the shoulder, implating itself deep in his shoulder, almost showing on the other side. He fell back, and Mara jumped down the the tree and put her foot on his chest, snarling, "Shard, I am your Assassin."
Shard gasped softly, the pain in his shoulder putting stars and black splotches in his vision. "Who...?"
"Do you not remember me, Shard?" she hissed, pushing down on his chest, poking the dagger a bit with her toe.
Shard cried out, the blade touching his shoulder bone. "Look at me!" he heard dimly, and forced himself to focus and look at his assassin. Red hair... gray eyes... Shard's eyes went wide with terror, his heart skipping a few beats. "Mara?!" he gasped.
Mara leaned closer to Shard. "You left me," she hissed. "You left me with a bullet in my chest!"
"I-I was only doing my job!"
"Is that what you told that girl's family right before you killed them?!"
Shard stopped squirming. "...How do you know about that?"
Kiki looked at Kaori questiongly. "Who's Pete? Is he a new Fallen?"

Kaori looked over at Kiki, "I wish, I'll be right back, tell Kita not to wait up." Kaori nodded at Kiki and ran off, as she got to the corner she slowed down and summoned her daggers. She walked very quietly and hid behind a tree, so close to it you could barely see her. As she hid she heard there conversation. "He did kill my parents...and her too? My boyfriends a murderer?" Kaori mutters, holding her weapons harder almost so hard they slid out of her sweaty hands. Kaori shook her head, No wonder he wanted me to leave him, he didnt want me to know what he'd done. Kaori bit down on her lip hard. "Hey, Kiki, Do you know where Shard went I cant find him, he said he went to go look for fire wood..."
Kika blinked and shook her head, "Where the frig is she going?" After Kaori wasnt that far away she decided to follow her, hiding in the trees she whispered, "Kaori! What are you doing." Once she answered Kika knew she was using her as a distraction. "I thought I saw him go over to that big patch of little trees over there. Come and I'll show you."
Kaori winked and replied, "Kay." And started to walk away, once she was to the tree Kika was in she helped her up and Kika used her bow and arrow to aim.

"...say you killed them because of a job?!" Mara was saying. "You killed them- me - because you wanted to! You didn't care about us! You killed me! I was your girlfriend, Shard! And you killed me!! How dare--" Mara got cut off when her eyes flicked up suddenly. Her foot lifted off of Shard's chest and she took a step back from him, her eyes never leaving the treeline. "I know you're there..." she muttered, and ducked behind her summoned shield as an arrow was launched at her. She growled, summoning her Demonic Bow and shot it at the trees. She hissed angerly, but nothing fell, except a few leaves. She turned back to Shard. "It seems you have a Protector," she said. "I will kill her after you," she contenued, walking to Shard and pushing the dagger further into him, sliding a bit closer to his heart.
The dagger went completly through him and towards his heart. Tendons snapped, and bones broke. His heart raced faster as he screamed with pain. He saw himself suddenly, back when he still had color on his skin. He had brown hair, bright blue eyes, and a gun in his hand. Shard's eyes widened as his past-self uttered, "You will die like everyone else!" and shoot. Shard heard a scream, then another shot. Then another... and another... He looked down at his hands and saw blood. Suddenly there was an explosion, and his past-self got struck by a shard of glass. Then Shard was back in real time, the dagger inches from his heart. The pain wrung out a whole new chorous of screams and cries of mercy.
"Why should I show you mercy?!" Mara was screaming at him. "This is what my heart sounded like when you shot it out!"
Kiki walked to Kita. "Kaori said she had to do something and not to wait up."
Kita nodded. "We need to keep moving then," she said, and moved on, the rest of the group following. They didn't hear Shard's sudden screams of pain.

Kaori bursted out in tears, "F*ck you Shard!" Kaori screamed then took Kika by the wrist, "Let's go, before she gets us. I dont need you hurt too." Kaori jumped down from the tree and landed on her knee. Kika jumped down and they ran back onto the trail.
"Kaori...." The silence was louder than it was in the tree now. "I'm so sorry. Come on, dont look back." Kika ran with Kaori back to the trail and when Kaori went back with Kita she ran off back into the forest, running by Shard and Mara, load, aim, fire, load, aim, fire. She shot numerous ammounts of arrows, some missing others just nicking the skin. Kika pressed on her headset, this allowing her the sound like others. "Shard! I can't believe you." Taking a deep breath she went on. "I came here to help you and it looks Mara has done a better job I ever could,"

Shard's vision blurs as the dagger stops just milimeters from his heart. He feels Kika nearby and groans softly when he feels Mara vanish. The dagger leaves as well, leaveing Shard gasping for breath but he doesn't get up. The pain slowly fades as his muscels and bones snap back together. He forced himself to see through Kaori's eyes and saw her walking away from him. Leaving her sight alone, his heart breaks as his body fully heals. "I'm alright Kika," he said softly, knowing she was still nearby. He stood up and followed after the group, his proud posture gone completly as he ignores Kika and joins the group.
Mara watches from a disance as Shard gets up and walks off. She turns and explores the town.
Kita turns when she hears Shard approach. "You alright?" she asks, noticing that his clothes were torn and a scar on his shoulder. He ignores her and walks past her, his head lowering slightly when he passes Kaori. Kita glances at her, then follows Shard.

Kaori looks up and her eyes widen as she sees Shard. She frowns a little and then grins. Looking behind her shoulder she sees Kika, and winks at her. Kaori looks down at her dagger and laughs softly, "I hope one day I can use these."
Kika nods as he walks by, and looks over at Kiki and Kita, "There's so many K's, if I ever have a child there aint no way there's a be a K in her name." Kika mutters. She runs up way infront, past Shard and Kita, she looks over the hill and down at the valley, her eyes amazed, "Kita! Why havent I ever seen this before? It looks like a tow, that isnt destroyed."

Shard worked out his shoulder muscles as he went on in the tower. He heard whispering and stopped, holding his hand up. The group paused behind him. There was whispering again, and Shard led the group into a large room. There, they found Eon reading a book.
Eon studied the old tome, but didn't look up when he heard Shard and the others enter. He simply closed the book and put it back in the shelf before turning to them. "Come in, come in," he said, walking across the room to pull out another tome. "Honestly, all this sneaking around is pointless. All you have to do was knock."

Merrilline smiles and pushes past the crowd of people, she rushes over to Eon and hugs him, "Eon!!! Oh my gawsh, I missed you so much!"
Kaori smiles at Merril, "Glad to know someone's happy." She looks over at Shard and squints, staring at his shoulder she is amazed by how quickly it healed.
"Woa, What is this place?" Kika asks looking over her shoulder at Kiki

Shard feels Kaori's gaze on him, and he turns away from her slightly. He goes to a bookshelf and pulls out a random book and begins reading it.
Eon blinks in surprise. "Martii?" he askes, his voice starting to sound normal again.
"True, but keep in mind that Eon still needs to..." Kita murmured to Kaori.
"This is most likely where Casey has made his hideout. Interesting how we found it, though," Alex said, speaking up for the first time in many hours.

Merrill laughs, "Yes, Eon, it's me, Martii, Merrill, whatever you say, it's me. I'm just so happy to see you alright." Still hugging him she looks over his shoulder at the tower.
Kaori looks over at Kita "Not now he doesnt, Merrill doesnt know he's possessed, let's give them sometime." Kaori walks-slowly- over to Shard, peeking over his shoulder she reads the book title, "Really Shard? The history of Swiss Cheese? Since when do you like Swiss Cheese?"
Kika looks over at Alex, "Good things come to those who wait."
