The presence would still be felt vaguely nearby, having moved no closer or further as Tier went inside. From Tier's point of view there was nothing on the floor anywhere around him, but from Ookamaru and Ren's point of view they would see a figure sitting cross-legged on the ceiling directly over tier's head with a cocky smirk on his face displaying his amusement with the sitatuion.
The figure had a six foot tall ivory bo-staff over it's shoulder in a relaxed position. The only oddity in the staff being a blood-amber sphere clutched in the mouth of an ornate viper at the staff's top. The main's hair seemed affected by normal gravitational pull, even if his clothing, most notably the cloak, seemed almost pulled to the ceiling. The white streak in his black hair and a heavily scarred eye being the most notable features. But beyond his choice in position the man's posture seemed entirely non threatening as if he was just relaxing on the ceiling.

Ren woke up startled. He rubbed his eyes and yawned while stretching his head upwards and then his arms outwards. "What's wr-?" Ren stopped mid-sentence when his eyes met someone's who was sitting on the ceiling above Tier. He tilted his head in confusion, still sitting on the ground.

Ookamimaru sleepily lifted the blanket he had been sleeping under. He'd gotten it after he'd left for a quiet spot to shift back discreetly and without too much fuss. The process had been painful but welcome. His mind felt more complete with the ferocious instincts of Tobu. His now slightly elongated snout supported a sense of smell that was remarkably better than his human form, not to speak about his hearing and eyesight.
Now that he lifted the blanket, the smell of sulfur reached his nostrils. He warily came from under his hiding spot and looked questioningly at Tier. His eyes widened, however, as his look wandered past Tier, noticing the man hanging from- no, sitting on the ceiling.
He slowly lifted an arm and pointed at him, as if the man was an animal one would startle if any abrupt movements were made, to alert Tier of his presence.

A shadow-line, the width of the space between the double doors, slithered across the ceiling to close the four feet distance to the ceiling dweller. Krähetechniken: Schatten Binden (Shadow Bind) The line shadow was about to connect to the stranger's shadow. Tier hadn't looked up or moved yet. He was acting like he hadn't noticed, even though Ookamimaru just pointed out the person above Tier. It was an elementary school trick at best, and the stranger probably knew it.

He tilted his head to the side moments before the shadow bind connected. "And here I thought you were another of those so called ninja that made the mistake of never thinking to look up. "
If the bind bothered him he didn't show it, though he made no motion to struggle against it. Though it was obvious that one would probably be unusable even if it opened he kept both of his eyes closed as he spoke "I don't see why you are in such a rush to leave the one place you have left to call safe given the protection this building's location offers. Given how little your group accomplished in protecting the other elemental nexuses I would think you would want your last safe haven from these larger creatures that prefer darkness..."
"Still, I suppose as my path has never crossed any of yours without interference from the girl there is no reason for you to believe anything I say, even if I swore on a demonic pact that it was true" he finished, opening his good eye to reveal a gold eye similar to Lina's, though his glowed a faint red in the low light of the room.

Tier wanted to ask Ren if he had enough chakra/energy to tunnel their way out of this place, but that would be unwise. He tried to gauge how much chakra Ren had with his single yellow eye. This is the first time Tier has attempted to gauge Ren's chakra availability; so he had no idea what low and high chakra levels looked like on him.
A shadow-tendril formed within the stranger's shadow. It snaked it's way up his body towards his mouth. Tier wasn't trying to conceal the small tendril's approach.

Ren got up from his seat on the ground while still looking at the man on the ceiling. "Who are you exactly?" A thought occurred to Ren just after he asked the question. How would this stranger know about the destruction of the other dojo's? Was he behind it? It was a logical assumption, because one thing led to another inside Ren's head, and this man suddenly became guilty.
A sense of realization flashed across Ren's face. He withdrew a kunai from the pouch in his hooded sweatshirt and pointed it at the man. "You're the one who attacked us. What happened to Lina?"

The man seemed to entirely freeze for a moment as the shadow crawled up to attempt to bind his mouth... and only for a moment he appeared in two places at once, one copy on the ceiling and one on the ground standing behind Ren, the latter slowly fishing a carton of cigarettes out of one of shirt pockets. A second glance at the former would show to Tier and the others an empty cloak and the staff both hanging from the ceiling with a shadow trying to extend up the cloak to a non-existent neck.
"I am someone with answers, someone who has enjoyed watching the squabbles of the factions interested in this little corner of the world." He paused at Ren's accusation. " The only actions I've taken against your little group were to annoy. And those were only because of that girl's interest in you all, my actions have done no more harm to your side then any of the other groups, and now that she's gone your side seems the most interesting. I'd think you all would have been happy that I left her the key to ending the eclipse that allowed those creatures to survive during the day" He seemed to spend a few moments searching his coat during this statement before pulling out a lighter box and sparking it several times without the appearance of a flame. When the fire finally lit the illumination it provided made it clear that his face and hands had varying acid burns and several scratches matching the damage from the blade-like feathers when the birds exploded.

Ookamimaru let out a growl when the figure appeared after Ren. It's purpose wasn't an immediate threat, but more of a warning. He sure would listen to what the man had to say, but if he were to try something, he'd have to deal a feral wolfboy hanging from his neck.
He didn't understand why the man was running around the bush so much. Even after his long explanation, Ookamimaru still wasn't sure wether the man was actually on their side, or was just mocking them. The scratches didn't go unnoticed though. Did it mean the man had fought the birds too?

Tier absorbed the stranger's words. He was the one who ordered the attacks on the Dojo. The battle damage on his body was evidence to that. "Equall harrm done from aany "ssiide" is ann enemyy."
He continued to stand there. Prepared.

Ren activated his Byakugan when the ceiling-stranger disappeared. The stranger might have used an illusion or some kind of replacement technique when there were two of himself. Ren turned 180 degrees and took a step backwards while holding the kunai horizontally near his own chest. His optical bloodline was searching for anyone or anything that might have been laying in wait directly outside the building or further out in the tree-line. He didn't say anything after Tier spoke, but Ren also noticed the marks on the stranger. There was no doubt now, that he was the attacker.

after escaping the castle she wandered into the forest cautiously, listening to how the incredibly different it sounded in here, unlike the palace gardens. the songbirds from the castle had been replaced by the repeating screech like sounds of other nameless birds and the hum of unknown insects. the lull of the water trickling into the koi pond was now replaced by the wind blowing through the rustling trees and the chattering of animals not far away. as she continued on she had noticed the bird and animal noises had came to a stop. she continued onward till she finally came to the end of the forest in front of a very peculiar building. she reached one hand into her bag in case she would need her weapon,a small little flip out pocket knife that she had always kept for protection, even though her father made sure she learned all types of blade skills to protect her. not only that, she was taught Japanese sign language,so that she could communicate with all of the palace workers. she slowly made her way towards the building hand gripped ready on her knife.

"All I've done to your group and the others were annoying but overall harmless pranks, but still, if you insist on starting a fight with someone who's actions have brought less harm then the one who was known as Kaimen" he paused, glancing at tier "then there's something you should know about me" With that statement he formed an orb of pure un-elemental spirit energy that kept growing, the blazing red of anger tainted energy creating a heat reminiscent of being in an oven. The amount of raw spirit energy seemed to come from nowhere given his chakra paths seemed to be beyond half depleted to both of the chakra seers in the room. The fact that the powerup was near instant and so close to Ren seemed to be designed to intimidate.
The man calmly aimed the technique, and blasted his own head with it. The burns from the attack healed almost as quickly as they appeared, but when the injuries had recovered one thing had changed about the man. The black hair-dye had burned off, giving an orange red coloration to his hair, the white streak remained. The styling was oddly reminiscent of a Phoenix. "I'm a bit harder then your usual targets to get rid of, but I shall save my offer for when you are more interested to listen, perhaps when you don't have guests, and that which I've warned you of" the man's image faded again, another detailed substation became clear as a swirl of fire vanished from the ceiling at the same time the illusion failed.

Ren had jumped back several feet, almost backing up into Tier. "...What? What the hell just happened?" Ren was still scanning the flat field outside the dojo with his optical bloodline when he spotted someone approaching in the distance. "There's someone coming here.. over there!" Ren pointed in the direction he was looking at.

she tiptoed further towards the dojo as silent as she could be,hand gripped on her knife so tightly her knuckles were turning white. she had no idea what would be in that building and she knew there was at least a reason she wasn't allowed out of the palace walls.
