"Sure thing. Talk to you later, then." He smiled and hung up his phone when she said her goodbye. He was somewhat excited that she wanted to hang out with him, so he continued to do his work.

she hung up her phone and smiled. she went downstairs and walked up to her mother. "hey mom. i'm gonna hang out with james tonight. that ok?"

Mari was sitting at the table in the kitchen with Smash and they were playing a game of cards. She looked from her hand over at Raine and smiled. "Sure thing. Don't be out after curfiew, now."

she nodded and then gave her a hug. smash smiled at her. "you have fun. and also you did a great job today. i'm proud of you." she smiled and walked over to him and gave him a hug. "thank you daddy."

Mari returned the hug and smiled. She then placed some cards on the table as she was playing against him and it looked as if she was winning.

he let out a sigh and layed down a card. she always won. raine decided to wait around the room for james to call back.

Garreth came downstairs and was dressed as if he was ready to go somewhere. He seen Raine in the kitchen and walked in, noticing that his parents were in there as well. "So, did you still want to hang out or did you find something else to do?"

He wasn't upset and just shrugged a bit. "Whatever. Just wanted to know before I left. See you all later." He turned and left the kitchen and Mari shouted out to him. "Take care and stay out of trouble!" As Garreth was leaving, Cyan walked in and seemed tired. "Home." Without saying anything else, he walked downstairs to his room. Mari was about to welcome him and see how his day went, but he was already heading down the steps before she could ask. She gave a small sigh and just continued playing the game.

when they was alone he kept playing and looked at her. "i guess they are growing up. they just go in and out now."

She was a bit sad by this and gave a sigh. "Yea. I know." She was getting the feeling that every mother had when their kids were getting older and more independant.

"it's alright. they're just finding their own path now." he smiled a little bit but was also a bit sad that they dont spend the same amount of time with them.

"I know." She also didn't like feeling old which that occured often with her now that their kids were off doing what they wanted for the most part.
