Well, save for Bailey making me take her out in the middle of the storm just to walk around unproductively, we managed to survive Tropical Storm Hanna pretty much unscathed. A few places did flood because we had as much as 5 inches of rain in different areas, but what little damage we did get around here seems to be due to the wind more than anything else. neutral

Glad to hear you survived it as well Amaeli.. Noch and I survived as well.. As usual we just got rain.. this far inland we usually only get thunder storm run-offs at worst.. and this time it wasn't even that.. just crappy rain.. drizzly stuff.. no thunder or lighting.. meh.. shouldn't complain I suppose lol

Hurricane season isn't over yet, so let's not count
our blessings and inadvertently jinx ourselves, in
the process.

I never want to see what it is like in a hurricane, the most I've been through is tornadoes. Of course not in Chicago, we were on vacation then. But it's not impossible for a tornado to rip through the city we get warnings all the time.

Hrm we have the opposite .. perpetual drought. I remember when I was a kid it used to be really tropical and we learned about the El Nino effect and trees would be uprooted. But for the last ten years everyone gets excited when there's a little bit of drizzle. We're on such harsh water restrictions we can't hose our gardens and have four minute timed showers. I'd like to see a monsoon or something, everything is so brown D<

ten year drought! that's a long time. I wonder if this is from global warming.

We had unusually dry summer the last few years and last winter we had the craziest ice storm. The whole state was covered in ice, literally. Everything outside was coated for almost a month! Power was out for weeks unless you had a generator. Lucky for us my dad had an extra we were able to use. I am a little worried about this winter. We are smack dab in the middle of the country here so hurricanes don't really bother us here. We have the occasional tornado but they tend to follow the main high way and leave us alone.

Fishing is being difficult about saving my Buckets again. Anytime I try to type a security code, it wants to do so in the chat line rather than its CAPTCHA window. So, I have to copy and paste my response there each time to ensure my Bucket actually gets saved. stare

Hi guys! How are you doing? It's been long since I was last time here. I've had some problems with my internet connection so I haven't been able to log into here.

Have any of you seen Wall-E movie? I went to see it with my friend on Friday and I loved it! I haven't laughed so much in a long time. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out. 3nodding

Ooh and if you are interesting in games where you can create and stuff, then you should check out the Spore game as well. I bought it on last week and man do I love it. The idea is that you create a creature that you evolve from cellular amoeba stage into space age stage. I especially love the space part where you can travel all over the universe and visit different kind of planets and it's creatures.

Referring into the weather changes, we've had more and more really warm winters lately and rainy yet hot summers. I dislike both choices because I like cool weather.

I agree Wall-E was a cute movie. The middle was a bit long for my son but oh well. I just watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and loved it!
