I got an internship. It's not paid, but at least I'll be doing what I want to do, and in a couple of weeks, hopefully I'll fit well enough to actually get paid. If not, at least I'd have something to put on my resume.

I think I'd enjoy this trip more if there wasn't a funeral attached. Been enjoying the Catholic excursions to the Ave Maria Grotto and the local monastery. of course, I got kicked out of the Church for being indecent about my arms showing.

So, even though I did but also really didn't want to, I visited my grandma in the convalescent home. I tried not to cry in front of her, but it was tough because she repeated a few times how she was going to die in there. She forgot most of her English so she was mostly speaking to my aunt in Tagalog. When I heard her laugh and say she was never going to get out of there I wished I didn't understand her.
I ******** hate going to those places. It just reminds me of the stink and moans of being old and alone. My other grandmother died in one, and also the husband of this grandmother. Now I have to repeat this same process with my dad later tonight. At least I got to see her one last time, so that if she dies while I'm abroad I won't hate myself for not visiting more like I didn't with my grandfather.

one step forward, two steps back. Nick just had his hand broken. Two spiral fractures. On the only part of his hand that wasn't protected by his gloves. Probably won't be able to keep his job.
