*Luke runs back behind the bar. He grabs Stolichnaya Vodka and a bunch of dishrags. Goddammit, where was Cora when he needed her? Did the Brink need a certain number of pints of blood to survive? This was not the first time he was grabbing Vodka to fix a wound on some unlucky contestant on The Brink of Fortune. And this round they were going to need more than Vodka if King Arthur killed himself in battle.*
*Luke calls.* You got it yet? How bad is it?

*Bard eyes the mail carefully*
It's loose enough that we should be able to slip it off of him if he cooperates. Maggie, I'm going to lift him as gently as I can, and I want you to slip the shirt up to his armpits.
Ready?... 1, 2... 3!!
*Bard lifts the man up as gently as he can*

*Maggie quickly grabs ahold of the man's shirt at the sides and scoots it upwards to expose his stomach. She winces involuntarily as she catches full sight of the wound*

*As soon as he's grabbed the man begins to struggle, twisting in Bard's grip and kicking. Blood begins to pour quickly from his wound*
Let me go, you Angle bastards... put a sword in my hand and we'll see if you're man enough to fight me...
*he groans in pain as Maggie slips the mail and uncovers his wound then falls limp for a time*

*All through this, Luke gets a glass of water from the sink. With that in hand, he shoves the bottle of Vodka underneath his arm and joins them on the floor next "King Arthur".*
Aw man... *He stares at the train wreck that is this guy's body and goes a white. Luke feels like his stomach's dropped to his feet, and for a second, he wondered if he's going to spew. ... Then, he pulls it together.* Okay.
Hey, man. Hey! Man! *Luke tries to get the guy's attention. That's what they did on ER all the time.* This is Vodka. And it's gonna.... This is gonna burn like ******** hell. But it's gonna clean you out, okay?
*Luke looks to Bard, and Bard is bracing the guy.* You'll thank me for this later... Okay, 1... 2... 3. *With a wince, Luke tenses and pours vodka on the wound, holding a rag against it.*

*The man chokes back a scream as he convulses in Bard's arms. His legs flail wildly, striking first at the oak table and then hitting Luke with a powerful jerk of the knee*
*he lets out a string of completely unintelligible noises, but it doesn't take a lot of linguistics expertise to recognize profanity*

Luke! Are ye alright??
*Maggie tries to help Bard restrain the man, but he's thrashing about too wildly. As Luke gets knocked back, she reacts quickly, grabbing ahold of the rag with her free arm and pressing it down hard against the wound once more to try and stem the bleeding*
Please, sir, ye must try and be still! *she tries to reason with him - if they can't calm him they'll never get the bleeding to stop* I know it hurts but I promise ye, we're trying te help ye.

*"King Arthur" freaks out and kicks Luke right in the chest. It's got power. Luke topples back and joins in cursing.* ********! Son of a b***h.
*Luke winces and barely dodges another flailing foot. He moves over towards Bard, thinking - they never showed THAT on ER.*

There now, that's it, *Maggie murmers as the man stops fighting them as much.* Ye're safe here now.
*She meets Bard's eyes briefly as he speaks to her. It seems all to often they're trying to patch somebody up like this . .. but she quicky turns her attention back to the moment, and carefully pulls the cloth away, biting her lip as she bends closer to inspect the wound more thoroughly*
'Tis not so deep as I feared it might be ... *she presses the rag back in place and looks up at Bard again* 'Tis still bleeding badly though. *she frowns uncertainly* I wonder if I ought te try stitching it ...

*Luke's voice winces, still from the kick to the chest. He arches his neck and says.* Well, lucky for this guy, you can bring in a needle and thread.
You might even be able to use it if he doesn't kick it out of your hand.

*Bard nods to Maggie* Why don't you go get whatever you need. Luke can stanch the bleeding while you're gone.

I think I can just ... *she closes her eyes, keeping the hand holding the rag in place and lifting the other*
*within seconds, a needle and spool of thread appear there. She waits for Luke to take over keeping pressure on the wound, and then threads the needle quickly. She'd been focusing on the idea of bringing in a clean one, but she pours some of the alcohol on it and her hands just to err on the side of caution*
*Once she's ready, she nods to Luke to signal him to remove the cloth* Ye'll have te both hold him still as ye can . ..
