i kinda wondered what it would be like to fight myself.
*he patted his shoulder and smiled*
i remember when i thought like that too. but now i don't feel the urge to fight anymore. i'm a family man now.

The future Mari smiled and just kept ahold of her husband. "The last time he had an urge to kill something was when I was pregnant with Cyan and someone threatened me. I never seen him so angry before in my life." Mari let out a small laugh at this and smiled. She liked to hear that he was still protective of her.

Mari leaned into him a bit and nodded. "Yes. They're wonderful." The Mari from the future laughed. "They're a handful. I wouldn't give them up for anything, though."

what about the guild? is our friends still around?

yup. they're ok. kage, bettie and the others still hang out at the mansion but valgar is still as mysterious as ever. we do see him every now and then though.

"I'm glad to hear that." Mari smiled and let him hold her. Her older self still had a hold of her husband's arm and kept a smile on her face. "Are Bron and Trina still okay? And Maris?" The older Mari nodded her head. "Of course. Maris is up there in years, but he's still kicking. Bron's gotten older, but he's doing fine and Trina is becoming a beautiful young woman. She often helps train Garreth and even babysits for us."

Mari looked over at him and seen that he was upset. Even the older version of her picked up on it. "It's not really a goodbye."

i dont like having my mind tampered with.
*he knew exactly how he felt. haveing his mind tampered with was as bad as being controlled and he hated being controlled*

The older Mari just put her free hand up. "It's just me, Matt. I would never do anything to hurt you." She smiled gently and kept ahold of the older Smash.

She let out a small laugh. "Like I'm going to deny you of seeing your own kids." She looked over her shoulder and shouted to the children. "Kids! Come here!" Garreth and Cyan looked over at her and started running over to them. They reached where they were and both the boys just looked up at their parents that they knew.
