Tristen’s eyes narrowed as the Dunsparce flew out of its burrow in a rage, ready to turn his fire cat into paste. There was his chance, he needed to get damage down now. As the Dunsparce curled up and started to go on the attack, he noticed the Taunt had him bad. It was fast. Fierce it was even. But it was reckless, with no care. It was out to try to run the cat over. “Litten! Move!” Tristen shouted. The cat quickly leaped off the side and let the Dunsparce roll on by. As it started to drift and start for another pass, Tristen found his opportunity. “Litten! Flamethrower!” Tristen shouted.
The cat, invigorated by its inner Blaze, started to square off with the Dunsparce then unleashed a harsh plume of fire towards the Dunsparce, challenging the oncoming rock-empowered attack.

The Flamethrower's fires would consume Dunsparce, not doubt delivery a good blow against the rolling snake as it grumble in pain however it still had its momentum and was cloaked in Rock energy which didn't mitigate the damage but did help not feel as much pain. The Dunsparce would keep rolling right through the Flamethrower, enduring the pain as it intended to use this moment while the cat had its guard drop to run it over and flatten it like roadkill.

As the Dunsparce was incinerated, Tristen would have figured that would have overcame the Dunsparce’s Rollout, bringing it to submission. But much to Tristen’s astonishment, that was far from the case. It was still coming, forcing its way through the Blaze empowered Flamethrower and was still on its collision course to Litten. “Oh no…” Tristen said to himself. “Litten! Cut the fire! Get out of there!” Litten ended up cutting the flamethrower as commanded, but it needed a second to get itself back together again after putting out such a powerful attack. That second…was one second too long. The attack rushed in and smashed right into the cat, Litten howling out in pain. Tristen couldn’t help but to wince upon impact, grimacing pretty hard. Tristen couldn’t help but to watch as the cat was effectively rag dolled by the attack and hit the ground shortly after. One super effective attack after the next was far too much for Litten to take. The tiny fire type was done.
“Litten, return.” Tristen said, recalling the fallen Pokémon. There was another thing that he noticed. Nemona did like to challenge attacks even though they would probably put her Pokémon at a disadvantage. The Pawmot, for instance literally tanked a Bulldoze from Rampardos, a Rampardos that was empowered by the likes of his own Sheer Force and a Life Orb, only to give just as harsh, if not harsher attack in return. Nemona doesn’t play things safe. If she knows that her Pokémon can take an attack, regardless of effectiveness, she’s going to get them to do it. She also did the same thing in goading Tristen in getting Dragonite to fire off his Hyper Beam against her Quaquaval. Powerful Dragonite’s beam was, it meant nothing to the likes of her Pokémon’s more concentrated shot. She was confident, and effectively had every right to be. She carried that strategy here as well, having Dunsparce to square off against such an inferno, just to win out. It was hard to retaliate against someone with effectively no fear against retaliation like that. In fact, she probably has been training her Pokémon to be able to do just that. Hard to guard against attacks when one was already committed, after all. It felt kind of reckless on Nemona’s part, but then, Tristen really couldn’t judge. She was the champion here for a reason. They were weaknesses he could see, but what good was it when he didn’t have the know how to exploit them? Until he could, he might as well write them off.
“Sorry, Litten. That Dunsparce was a little too much after all.” Tristen said, stashing the Pokeball. “You got this one, Nemona. I guess Litten wasn’t really ready for that.”

Nemona blinked a few times in disbelief, shocked that the battle was over already. Once it sunk in that it was she would laugh embarrassed, recalling her still rolling Dunsparce and then pocketing its ball away. "Dang, I was hoping to use that move and maybe get it to evolve..." Nemona said to herself followed by a shrug before walking up to Tristen.
"I'm sorry, I guess Dunsparce was a little too strong for this battle, I feel like I went against the spirit of it." Nemona said to Tristen, rubbing the back of her head.
"You did." Matteo said as he approached them, hands in his pockets. "A Dunsparce? Really? Technically unevolved but it has the strength of a middle stage of three. You know that, Nemona." He lightly chastised her.

SubonicXP "You did." Matteo said as he approached them, hands in his pockets. "A Dunsparce? Really? Technically unevolved but it has the strength of a middle stage of three. You know that, Nemona." He lightly chastised her. Never mind that there was only so much he could do to weather one super effective attack after the next from something that wouldn’t really be thought that would have had the likes of that in spades. It would have been one thing if he rolled Litten into a water type or an actual Rock or Ground type. Not…this. It was a thought that he’d keep to himself though. “Its fine, Matteo. I figured what I was getting into even before throwing Litten out.” Tristen said to the Growlithe hybrid. “I was going to try anyways to see how far Litten could go. It’s not unheard of for Pokémon to take on matchups like that. Anyways, I better now go see about tending to Litten…I think I’ll try to take care of him and take him back to my dorm.” He then said to the two of them. While that was honest, he still wanted to get on the laptop as an aside, but that wasn’t going to be let on about.

Both Nemona and Matteo would tell Tristen goodbye, Nemona immediately turning to Matteo and asking him for a battle next which resulted in something of an 'argument' between them though it was really just Matteo ranting at her about her obsession with battling people and Nemona listing the reasons why she loved to battle so much. Looks like they were going to be there awhile. Oh well, it was time for Tristen to go check out that laptop.

Tristen couldn’t help but to sigh out a laugh as he made his way off back for his dorm and Nemona and Matteo had their sudden discussion of Nemona’s battle frenzy. Tristen would make his way down the halls, making the somewhat long trek across the school and off to the dorms, where he’d make it to his own, unlock the door, and closed the door behind him and locked it. He wasn’t really expecting to leave again for any particular reason and he’d probably fix something to eat here in the dorm. He’d take off his pack, sitting it aside. He then took off his tie and his uniform jacket, tossing it aside onto his chair then took out Litten’s Pokeball and released the cat onto his bed, who was still hurting from the Rollout attack that he took. Tristen pulled out the various medicines and means to patch Litten up, which made the fire cat squirm a bit. “Easy. Easy! Its fine, Litten. I know, I know…that was a bit tougher fight than I thought I had signed up for.” He said, scratching around Litten’s head. “Though, Nemona was tough as is. I suppose we’re probably going to need to work hard from here on where we can and maybe we can get a win later, huh?”
“Mrrrrow…” The cat weakly replied back.
“Well, guess what? We’re going off with Matteo this weekend and maybe we can get some training in, huh?” he said, going back to tending to the cat. “You, Wimpod, and Rookidee can get some training in. And maybe we can get Sprigatito started and see what he’s got. How about it?”
“Mrrrow…” The cat said, lifting his head from the bed, looking at Tristen. Tristen would rub the cat’s head for a few seconds before Litten laid back out again.
Tristen would continue to tend to the cat for a bit longer until he was finally finished. “There. Just take a rest there for a while Litten. I’ll fix dinner for everyone here later, alright? Just relax.” That wasn’t going to get any sort of argument out of Litten as it curled up and tried to relax. Tristen would then move over towards his desk, sitting on his chair, taking a look at the laptop. Now…it was time to enjoy the prize. Tristen opened the laptop up, looking it all up and down, practically relishing in his newfound prize. He would then turn it on, pulling out his SNAG and placed it along side the laptop. “Alright, here we go.”

The laptop would boot up like any other laptop, unassuming as Sub promised, it looked no different than a common PC. The lock screen would appear and ask Tristen for a password but of course Tristen had no idea what the password was, no one gave him one. He wouldn't have long to think about this before his SNAG lit up.
"I can change the default password for you, one was preset just in case it got stolen before you got your hands on it. Here, use your SNAG to choose a password and I'll update the laptop remotely." GRAY spoke up from the SNAG and if Tristen looked at said device he'd see a prompt open for entering a password. What password would he choose?
Once Tristen entered the password GRAY would confirm it and tell him to wait a few seconds before the AI spoke up again and said it was good to go, to go ahead and input his new password. If and when he did the laptop would welcome 'Tristen' and take him to the desktop which again was unassuming.
He could see icons were already set for the standard programs like a word processor, calculator, internet browser, and so forth. The only thing that stood out was an icon of a Pyroar's head and was called 'Phobos'. What was that?

SubonicXP He could see icons were already set for the standard programs like a word processor, calculator, internet browser, and so forth. The only thing that stood out was an icon of a Pyroar's head and was called 'Phobos'. What was that? Tristen hesitated for a moment as the computer turned on, seeing a password screen already set up where he didn’t know. GRAY talking through the SNAG however would come to the rescue. “Oh, thanks GRAY.” He said. When given the prompt, Tristen thought for a moment figuring that it had to be something he could remember but really hard for anyone to get into. He would think something up and start to type it out. Slowly, however. He wasn’t that proficient in typing, after all. Something he hoped he learn how to do eventually. Once he did, and GRAY gave the go ahead, he would try again to do it for real and sure enough, he was on the desktop. Tristen would felt a little excited, ready to explore everything this device had to offer. While he was no stranger to computers at this point, he never really imagined having one himself like this. It was enticing. Exciting. So much to look into and explore. He wanted to see about browsing the internet on his own terms, maybe browse some random stuff at his leisure or do his research like he did for Ms. Raifort’s class. Maybe check out this PoryCord server that the teachers mentioned once or twice, and multiple times by Penny. There was the possibility of typing out reports without having to worry about having to go somewhere to do it. He could do it in relative peace here in his dorm. He had easier access to his Pokémon if he needed to instead of having to go all the way across the school just to take care of that. It might have not been much in the grand scheme of things, but this meant worlds to the Manectric hybrid. As he started to look about what was on the screen, something looked pretty unfamiliar though. “Uh…GRAY?” Tristen spoke up. “What’s this Phobos thing on the laptop? I haven’t seen anything like that before.”

I haven’t seen anything like that before.” "That is for in case of emergencies. Only open up that program in case of dire straits. Besides that don't worry about it, we'll hope such a situation never arises that requires it. Sub simply requested it installed because of his own worries. Fun fact though; Phobos means 'flight' or 'fright' in a long dead language." GRAY answered and explained, warning Tristen only use that when things really went south. "Either way, what do you think? Comments about the computer? Sub was awaiting to hear your reaction to your new laptop once you got to actually use it." GRAY said.

“Oh! Okay…staying…far away from…that one.” He said in response to his question. So, just in case of emergency? He really hoped he never had to use anything like that, but that was nice to know. Never mind, the fact that he did ask before he curiously selected it. As he started to look about it, he would then hear GRAY ask him how he liked the laptop. “GRAY, its great. Its everything I could ask for.” Tristen told GRAY. “I’m still kinda surprised that I got this laptop; its amazing. This will be great here while I am here at the academy. Man, I don’t think I thanked Sub enough for this.” Tristen said, practically enamored over the device, his mind racing with the many things he could do as he started to look about the various programs that were on the computer, other than Phobos, that is. The program to switch his Pokémon out was there, and he was a little half-tempted to give that a test run. But he didn’t really need to make any changes as of yet. There was the browser which had the information world at his fingertips. And if Tristen was truly bored…there was always Quilfish Sweeper. “This is amazing.”

"I'm certain Sub would be thrilled to hear how pleased you are with it. I'll be sure to let him know how happy you are with it. In the mean time if you need any help with it let me know, I'm always here...and there in that laptop. Any who, have fun." GRAY said, implying that he could speak through the laptop as well which wasn't a big revelation. Regardless that left Tristen to do as he would for the rest of his evening with his brand new laptop.

Once Tristen was left to his own devices, he would start having at it with the laptop. As Litten rested on the bed, Tristen started to go through the various programs to see what they were. Other than Phobos that is. The big draw right at the moment was apparently the internet browser where he started to look up all manner of things. News of what was going on in the other regions and maybe see if the other Snagems got involved with it. He ended up getting access to the PoryCord server in the academy, seeing what was talked about, from teacher assignment reminders to what the students were talking about. He figured out then some of why news traveled fast within the academy at the very least. The Pokémon battle that he had just only a short bit ago with Nemona even garnered some attention…with some thinking that Nemona did Tristen dirty in the agreement of unevolved Pokémon. Spirit vs letter of law sort of thing. That was something that Tristen wasn’t going to get involved in, never mind in much of any of the forum posts. There was too much to look at first before he’d try interacting with anyone. Eventually, he’d endulge in the occasional cat Pokémon videos, which Tristen couldn’t help but to laugh at. Skitty getting tangled up in yarn, Pyroar nearby catnip and was going on a trip, Glameow practically straightening out its own tail and sprinting through houses at rapid rates, and without Quick attack at that. The ‘zoomies’ it was called. Tristen could see Sprigatito doing such things…Litten couldn’t honestly care less, on the other hand. It was weird.
Time practically was sucked away within the confines of the laptop as Tristen continued to explore about, and he probably would have continued to do so, if not for the Litten walking back up from a nap to hop down to the floor and make his way over towards Tristen’s feet to swat at it. The cat was hungry. Tristen would see the time, astonished at how much time he burned just exploring and being enamored by everything he could in that time frame. “Yea, it is getting a bit late, isn’t it?”
“Mrrow…” Litten spoke up.
“Alright…” He’d turn back to the laptop just long enough to get something playing in the background he could listen to, which just amounted at the moment as some weather report in Paldea; what was the night going to bring and what probably tomorrow was going to be like, namely around the time he was supposed to send Vivillion off in Mr. Jacq’s class tomorrow. Probably nothing that anyone Tristen’s age would listen to, but Tristen still really didn’t know what was out there that he liked. He was, after all, different compared to basically every teenager around and never really got to endulge in much. Never had the time to do that much. If he wasn’t playing or training with his Pokémon or himself for that matter, he was out on a mission. He was stuck with a lot more responsibility than kids his age, for better or worse.
Tristen would one at the time start releasing his Pokémon out around his dorm, Rookidee, Sprigatito, Wimpod, followed by Espeon, then finally Mienshao. He would end up getting food out for the each of them and they would all partake in their meal. Tristen would then dig around in the kitchen for something to eat himself, fixing up a simple sandwich and pulling out a few chips to have alongside and pulled out a bottle of lemonade he had in his fridge to have to drink. He’d make his way back to the laptop and start eating his meal. After a few bites into his dinner, he’d get his pack and pulled out the Language make up work and started to go over it. Between bites of his dinner, he’d start trying to work on his language homework once again trying to imagine talking to Larrimore, Aile, or Beau with the various phrases. But it wasn’t long, since he worked on this some in Mr. Jacq’s class earlier. And given the difficulty and the amount of papers he had, it seemed like he was getting close to what he ended up coming in on earlier this week.
Espeon would come up to Tristen, pawing at his leg just then, looking up. Tristen looked down, seeing Espeon slowly wagging its tail, psychically bringing his dish over and leaving it to drop nearby. Tristen looked at his text book then back down to the Espeon. “Voluez-vous manger plus?” he asked the Espeon, a bit playful, if albeit teasingly. Espeon tilted his head, confused, however. “Never mind.” Tristen then said. Truthfully, he looked back at the papers for a second, wondering if he even asked that right. Something felt off about what he said anyways. He’d get up and get Espeon’s dish, then went off to give him a bit more to eat. Afterwards, he’d get back to work on the assignment, and continue to do so into the evening until bed.

SubonicXP The next day began as all others before with the local bird Pokemon greeting the morning sun, Tristen getting out of bed to tend to himself and his Pokemon and then get ready for the day's classes. Today was a bit of a special day though as it was the day they'd be releasing the Spewpa and Vivillon into the wild. But first Tristen needed to get through the classes that preceded biology. Tristen would carry on with his make-up assignments for a while before finally coming to a stop on it. He didn’t have much more to go as far as he could tell. He’d get done with it tomorrow for sure if nothing comes up. He would then sigh out a little bit, stretching out. It was still time for a little bit before he needed to get to bed and what better thing to do…was to use the laptop more. Before he had at it, however, he would then look back at his other Pokémon once again, and he couldn’t help but to grimace a little bit. The Pokémon were pretty much gathered around were feeling a little bit on the miserable side, being cooped up in the dorm again. Tristen would look at the laptop for a second once again, namely to look at the small clock that was on the corner of the screen. There was at least a little while before he needed to get off to bed still and honestly? Perhaps the laptop can wait; there was tomorrow. He’d go on to cut his laptop off for the time being then he'd round his Pokémon up and take his Pokémon out to the rec fields again, a gamble that he admitted considering Nemona was a bit on her battle frenzy earlier. But fortunately, he was able to just play around with his Pokémon in peace. The Pokémon had to take it a little easier with Litten still after the battle he had earlier that afternoon, but honestly, it was a better change of pace than just sitting around in the dorm room again for who knows how long again, doing effectively nothing. Tristen would play around with his Pokémon for a while under the night spotlights that lit up the rec courtyard. While he wouldn’t regret the time here, it only served to remind him that he needed to try to get his Pokémon a bit transitioned into the school life now. Well…that and perhaps he still needs to figure out concessions for them. They were a part of his life after all, too. This was going to be an adjust, all the same. The lights would finally start getting killed on the courtyard, one by one. He’d take out his SNAG, seeing the time and to his Pokémon it would feel like it was over all too soon, in spite of being out there for about an hour and a half. Unfortunately, they did have to go back to the dorm now. There was really no where else to go now at this time of the night. He’d corral his Pokémon back into their balls for the time being, at least until they got to the dorm again, then made his way back for the dorm once he done so. Once back at the dorm, he’d release the team again and started getting them ready for bed. He’d then go off to take a shower to get cleaned up a bit after being out like he did with his Pokémon party and to be ready for the next morning. Soon after, Tristen once again would check his electricity again, then went to take his medications. Though, after taking it, he’d realize that he had finished what was prescribed to him. He ended up having to check the time on his SNAG again, doing some quick math. It’d be early in the morning at the headquarters at this point…it might be good to call Doc Owl real quick. He'd give a call back to the headquarters, calling the doctor, letting him know that he just now finished off the prescription. Doc Owl would start running through various questions about if Tristen had been discharging his electricity or if he had any problems since he got back to class, to which Tristen would say he hadn’t. He only had been discharging electricity just enough to check himself before going to bed at night, but nothing grand like firing off Thunderbolts as of yet. Never really needed to. He hadn’t actually stress tested what he could actually do since getting back. Doc would end up recommending to find an opportunity to try to find a open spot somewhere to go all out and check himself and get back to him. Tristen would give an affirmation to find an opportunity to discharge a few bolts and get back to him later about it. After getting done with talking with Doc Owl, he would finally make his way over to bed and finally succumbed to the bedsheets. Tristen would find himself waking up to his alarm on his SNAG once again and sitting up in bed. He’d note the Pokémon who were resting peacefully about the dorm, rather they be on the floor, his desk chair, desk itself, or at the foot of his bed. He’d get up and start getting breakfast ready for himself and his Pokémon. Tristen sighed a little bit. It was going to be another busy day today. Leading off with art class, followed by Home Ec. The moment of truth would come with Science class right after lunch, having to release Vivillion out into the wild for the Pokémon to answer the call of nature. Fela was okay with it around the end of class the other day, and she still was fine around lunch time yesterday. It was pretty much high time to see if she was still good come the time it was to release the bug Pokémon. Tristen would then finally get dressed for class after eating then started to get his materials together for the day ahead. There was no homework he had to worry about, it was just the matter having everything else at the ready and good to go. Once he got everything together, he’d once again check the time. It was close enough. He’d recall his Pokémon back to their Pokeballs and stash them on him. He’d make his way out of the dorm, locking the door behind him, then made his way off for art class to start off the day.
