At the sound of movement Kane's beastial head turned to glance at Luana, but he gave an elaborate shrug before lowering himself to a more comfortable position. When he lowered it was clear one horn seemed to be damaged, his voice rather reptillian as he looked her over, "Sssorrrry 'bout that. Didn't noticcce the change." Using his knuckles he supported his large upper half as he walked off to begin picking up pieces of the chair. The action itself was good enough, but the execution was difficult, as some of the pieces were too small to be pulled from the floor by his massive hands.

Luana held the staff across her body, ready to aim the business end of it at Kane. He didn't seem to be threatening her, but it would be a lie to say she was comfortable with his appearance. She stood with her knees slightly bent.
"Who are you?" she asked, trying not to sound as afraid as she felt. "I haven't seen you here before."

He growled a bit at the pieces of chair, mumbling a curse or two under his breath. When he glanced back over to Luana the low growl continued, "Mossst call me Kane. Biblical rreferrencccesss assside, my name isss Johnathan." He pointed a clawed finger towards her, "You betterr be puttin that down, might hurrt yerrssself." He gave a short laugh that was still mixed with a bit of a growl, "Not going ta eat you, alrready had my fill of childrren today."

:::Cora heard a bit of racket coming from the direction of the main room. She had been in the middle of diagnotics on her boots when she heard the comotion, and she didn't have time to put them back on...:::
:::She ran in barefoot, only to see Luana poised to use a rod she explained to Cora as a weapon, and a very familiar monster:::

:::She hadn't seen him in so long, she forgot how shocking his appearance was... but she shook it off momentarily to adress the other occupant:::
Lower your weapon, Luana! :::She commanded in a way that sounded much like she used to as a lieutenant:::

Luana looked at Cora uncertainly, back at Jonathan, then slowly lowered her weapon.

Kane glanced towards Cora as he heard his name called, a sidelong glance passing back to Luana as she lowered her weapon. With a bit of a wave to Cora, which caused the pieces he had managed to pick up to tumble to the floor, he gave her a bit of a smile filled with teeth. It could hardly be called a smile as his lips didn't move too much except for a good roar or when eating things, but it was a smile nonetheless. With a rumbling sigh he glanced to the splinters and then back to Cora, "How have you been, Missssss Ssserrenisss?"

Luana tried to relax and slow her breathing, but her heart was pounding and she couldn't stop shaking. She sat back down in her chair and kept a weary eye on Kane.

Fur, hair, scales, spiny things, it was all the same when you're a genetic mutation. It was mostly fur though. He thought for a moment, "I'd darresssay itsss been a yearr and a half, maybe morre." He nodded, "And yeah, I know how to go back, but I've not the meansss to do ssso. The chemicalsss involved arre...exxxpensssive."

Luana tried to listen. A formula could make him human? He was human to begin with?
She massaged her hands, one after the other, going back and forth. It was only earlier that day that she had gotten them to stop shaking the last time.

He gave another elaborate shrug, his wide shoulders rising and falling as if mountains of flesh and bone. He glanced over to Luana as Cora did, but did not catch the meaning, "I have a lissst with my thingsss back in my currrrent lairr. The harrdessst to find isss the...eff...effee...effeevee. No one knowsss what effeevee isss anymorre."

I'm sorry... I don't have a proper laboratory to recreate that virus... the best I can offer is nuerostimulation to effect your brain in a way that might induce a simular reaction... but without the Forced Evolutionary Virus I don't think your body could produce the nucleac acids lended from the FEV in the reaction.

Luana needed to get up and move, and she chose to go to the bar. Caffeine was the last thing she needed right now, so she found some apple joice instead. Obviously this guy was having a problem that Luana couldn't help with.

Kane seemed rather confused, "A virruss did thisss? How could you know thisss? I do not underrssstand how a virrusss could turrn a man into a beassst." He gave a grunt of disbelief, "You mussst be missstaken. Besssidesss, mussst I be a man to live? I am usssed to being an outcassst, usssed to being beassst."
