Arthur was still puzzled over just what Isle was holding in hr hand but the elf decided not to worry about it and had slipped it into one of her belt and let the topic drift away. Though he kind of smiled when he was asked if they can take a go at his version, smiling lightly Arthur looked around and grinned as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Well my version is that I will call out a colour and you two would have to find something that has that colour and call it out. It's more simple and doesn't train the senses, just a child's game that's all." But before they even could eve start plying a small creature ran up the steps of the house barking at them then started to run around in circles. The elf blinked a few times before turning towards the others and shrugged. "Well I'll give you an easy one..." he paused for a moment to look around the street until he thought of a colour. "I spy with my little eye...something that is...blue." And so it was up to them to find something matching to blue, but the creature on the steps was bugging him a little. "What do you think it wants?" He asks Isle and Lark as he watched it carefully.

Onyx's tail doged the first slipped through the second with ease.

"Okay how about this?"

Lifting one hand, that glowed red, and then a smaller red version of Onyx showed up.

"Or this?"

Wisps started to dart around the boy too.

"Onyx..if he smacks you with something unpleasent, don't complain."

Adso looked very idignant indeed. He was just being ignored!! What a boring agame. Well he had a better game. Adso turned towards the manout and howled loudly. In moments seven other wolves bouneded from the builduing and proceded to have a howling, and scraping match. Right there on the front porch.

Oh yeah, this is much mroe fun thought Adso as Zachadia's paw swiped his face.

He charged Jude the moment he could, the all did, Jude was a hard one to beat and so they teneded to gang up on him. But Jude doged laughing. whihc to others soudned like a harsh weezing. Zell, apparently from no where launched himself from the foray and Talked Aurthur. He promtly sat on him. Zelll Grinned.

"I win!" he barked. "I takled the starnger first! I win I win!"

She gave Lark's hand a squeeze in comfort and looked at the creature that had apparently singled them out, but displaying a confusing array of temperment. After all, things didn't just growl at you and then run around barking all happy like. Isleandra would call that suspicious and well down here in the Depths, she was cautious. But her attention tried to focus on Galesen. That seemed easy. Yet with the amount of things the same colors...it was like saying you saw something black in a crowd of drow. "Something blue..." A look to Lark and a point at her. "Her cheeks?"

But her attention was quickly brought to the wolves that were fighting. Right...that made little to no sense at all. "Okay...why are wolves fighting on the front steps for no reason at all?" Really...what was that all about? And then apparently Galesen got taken down. Isle stood there and blinked. "And they talk. Uh huh...how very rude."

And that frown took on a look rather akin to his own father's looks. No, he was quickly not becoming a happy child at all. After all, this place had proven to be no fun at all and now he had something big that was relentlessly taunting him. No one liked being taunted at all. A stomp of one foot as he clenched his fists and then swiped an arm through the red version of Onyx to dissipate the thing and then a swat at the wisps around him. And there was a good way to punish winged kitties. Thus a run up to Onyx and a little jump, hands latching onto the fur on his head and one grabbing his ear...and then pulling and using his weight to make the pull even more. This was how he dealed with Ashlyn sometimes...hold onto a sensitive part and make it hurt.

"I'm not helping you, you asked for that..." Well he did. And so help Pnyx if he hurt the boy or made him cry. What Onyx was getting was a form of mild tantrum...Malikhai's 'if I hold on long and tight enough, then I win' response to displeasures. She hated those. Though yes, generally she didn't like him doing that and had almost weened the habit out of him, but hey if Onyx deserved it then he did.

She watched as Adso all of a sudden began barking happily and blinked in confusion. Wasn't that wolf just growling at her a moment ago? And now it was happy? And then there were even more. Eight wolves in all but she thought it was more since they were all over each other adn she couldn't get a good count. Ten maybe? She scooted closer to Isle and then lookd at Arthur grateful for the game to distract her. "Isle's toes!"

Arthur smiled lightly as Isle and Lark gave their own answer to his little question in the game. "You are both right, but you see what I mean? This game is mostly for children if you want to past the time on a dull day, now Lark you can pick a colour." Might as well let little Lark give it a shot, hopefully she'll pick an easy colour and yet not allowing them to pick it off the street without any hesitation. But the one thing that was really bugging him now was those wolves, yup there was more than one now so this was getting to be a little more awkward and the elf was ready to defend the two elves who were with him, but he hoped it would not come to that. The one thing he didn't see coming was wine the wolves were playing that one of them suddenly jumped out of the group and slammed against him, knocking him to the ground saying he won by tackling him, also there was the point that they could talk. "Yeah, yeah you won now can you get off!?" He asked in an angry voice, he didn’t not like being shoved to the ground like that, not one bit.

"Both seem likely explinations." Fin answered Leaf's pondering. "Perhaps, it might be both." He did not know what he would do if that was the case.

THe serpent slitherd up the stairwell, and exited into the main temple complex again. The room was moderately light at this end of the temple, as a pherescent moss was growing about a strange alter-like podium. The creature slithered in a very queer and expert pattern.

"I think the floor is rigid to fall still. We must follow him closely or we will fall... Or I'll fall again." Fin corrected himself.

"Ahhh, this is where I meet my first Frrrrrrrrriend." The serpent said eagerly once he reached the alter. He spun about looking about, sniffing the air with his tongue. "Frrrrrriend, where are you?" He called out.

Fin had to remember carefully where the snake had travelled, and dared to not deviate from its path. He found it a difficult track, but he made it. He noted that the serpent found nothing wrong with the floor around the temple, so he assumed that there were no more pitfalls.

Onyx growled lightly when his ear got tugged on, and the weight pullin on it. and tried to flick it out of the child's grasp...and when that didn't work, simply stood up, picking him up na dholing him in teh air so his minor tugging wouldn't really hurt.

"Tricky little bugger you are."

then a slight grin.

"Ever flown before?"

Malik's ran his hand down his face, and shook it lightly. Oh dear lord it was like having two toddlers. but he was monitoring time too. they wouldn't be staying much longer.

Of course growling only made his tug harder in his retalian, just like when he popped Ashlyn on the beak if she screeched right in his ear. But oh no, Onyx wasn't going to get him off easily at all. Malikhai was well practiced at this...it had started with being clingy to his parents and then had moved on to various objects. Boy did have quite a grip.

Though when Onyx picked him up, then came the squirming and the kicking, even if he still held on. He didn't like being picked up but for a few select people doing the picking up. Of course if he was being an attention monger, anyone was game. But not today. Though he did still a little at the question. "No, mommy says I'm too little to ride the flying things." Just like she said he was too little to ride the non flying things...speaking of horses and Ashlyn of course.

A look to Malik and a little chuckle, giving him a fond smile at the happenings. Yes Malik really had mellowed out in some respects. Usually Cymarron's sons were a cause for him to get his back up and start into his usual lordly ways. And yes, it was perhaps a shocker to her that he was letting Malikhai...play...with Onyx too. Though a pleasant shocker.

Cahan merely nodded, this was a very statement. "Yes, as all do parents, and men of family. I have a few myself. Though I think my young ones would faster eat the furniture then sit in it. Hungry little buggers. he said with a bit of a chuckle. Cahan then turned to Sevilin, and let out a sigh, his ice cold breath clearly visible in the air around him. "Where are my manners, I never told you my name, even though I knew yours. My name is Cahan, the Ice Lord. But most people just call me Cahan." Cahan said extended his gloved hands towards the other.

"If I may be so bold as to interject, People don't call you Cahan, most people run in fear of there life when the see your frozen carcass flying through the sky.' Sefu said as he sat on the floor. Though Sefu was a quiet man by nature, he could never let a wisecrack go.

"Dare I admit that I am suspicious to indeed how you know my name..." Though he didn't ask how he knew now did he? Sevilin just wasn't like that to ask. Neither did he seem to care if....Cahan exuded cold and seemed to be happy with that. After all, Sevilin was an elf, his natural resistance to temperatures inbetween extremes was keeping him quite comfortable...though yes some of the human serfs had gotten themselves away, hey they could feel it.

Though a smirk as Sefu let out his comment. "I dare say your friend has a joke or two in him and isn't the dolt he can seem with his looks and manners." No, he wasn't afraid to insult anyone. But he did reach out, clasping Cahan's arm at the wrist, old drow habit, and shook his hand as thus. "In all fair correctness...Master Rune Mage Sevilin Inthara."

A slight shrug as he pulled his hand back and shifted his weight to one side. "I do advise that when Lord D'vinn arrives you watch yourself. The wrath of his wife is something neither he nor anyone else would want to endure over such plans and so on. Be a same for you to get fired." Oh look how cute, Sevilin kinda made a joke.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 24, 2006 9:32 am

Cahan returned the gesture he had been given by Sevilin, and seeing as Cahan was as pure ice completely transparent, he kept very little secrets, that what the other were there for, not him. "As I'm sure someone of your high magical prowess is already already aware, the mind of an untrained human can be as easily read as a book. The serf which I first encountered called you that in his head. Along with a massive wave of fear, since he links you and the Lord D'Vinn as one. You on the other hand, I can' nothing of, which is probably for the best. I find it very rude to enter the mind of a friend unannounced.

Upon hearing the conversion as to Malik and his wife, Sefu rose from the floor upon he had been sitting and, spoke again in that large booming voice. "If it is true that this one is a married man, then we have less to worry about then I thought. No matter how great a warrior, we are all reduced to not but hatchlings in the presence of our mates.

Cahan, only cocked an eyebrow. "This from a man that has three mates. he smirked as he turned to face the drow once again. "You are a user of runes? I would love to see that displayed, because of the genocide that we commited against your kind back home, many ancient types of magic were lost. Runes being one of them.

Yeah those stupid humans...why did they have to have such feeble minds with such weak barriers. Sevilin almost always had his locked up tight...then again Sevilin's mind was so divided that he was probably classified as clinically insane...good thing elves had more mental control than that though, Sevilin could keep his almost split personality like mind in check and function normally.

A turn of his eyes to Sefu as his elongated ears twitched at the sound of his voice. "Oh do not think less of Lord D'vinn because of his wife's regard to some situations. She is not what you think after all..." Honestly, a surface elf married to drow, the mother of one's child and living in the underdark comfortable was enough to make anyone do a double take...not that he was praising the elf...he still disliked her, just not as much as he had before. And Malik knew how to soothe her without loosing face to those he was doing hard dealings with. "I just don't care to hear her fuss."

But his attention came back to Cahan. Runes. Well..how did Sevilin want to go about this? He certinally didn't want to say he used Andalian runes, runes from another place that no one here, least they be another Andalian rune mage, could control or alter. More or less, Sevilin could control and do things to anyone he wanted and no one could stop him from doing it. Quite literally. "I suppose I could give you a display...any particular parlor trick you wish to see?"

Sefu was the first to respond the Drow's request, though he said nothing with words. And merely moved, in a matter of a mere seconds, Sefu was nearly on top of the Drow. His once human hand morped into some sort of cross between his human and Dragon form, mere inches from the Drow's neck. "Try any of that magic, creature, and I will run your through in a single slice. He growled, his emerald green eyes once more taking on there reptilian look.

Cahan was not pleased with these, and let his anger show, letting out a massive growl, launching two or three, columns of cold air at the Earth dragon, instantly encasing his feet in ice. From his hand erupted a swrod of ice, its deadly sharp edge her pointed at Sefu. "I will not have you attack an ally in his own home. Now unless you want an icicle through the jugular, stand down, and get out of this place. earth fool." Cahan said with the cold seriousness that only he could muster.

Sefu merely grunted and relaxed his stance, using one of massive arms that were encased around his legs. "It's your funeral Ice beast, then again you have had no problem sharing your bed with this dirty elves.' he growled, as in a wave of dust he vanished.

Cahan let out another low growl. "There shall be a reckoning earth lord" Cahan blasted into the mind of the other. Turning to Selvin he rubbed the back of his neck from under the hood. "Sorry about that, my comrades are quick to judge, and far to quick to act I am afraid. Cahan said with a bit of shame in his voice.

Sevilin didn't even flinch, just his own growl of sorts coming from his throat and those sensitive to magic would detect the shift in the air of energies. Damn straight he would use his runes to defend himself. "I dare say someone fears magic, dragon." That hard edged tone of a warrior and assassin in his voice, not backing down.

But it seemed Cahan was more keen to step in and thus dispatch his...friend...from doing something totally regretable. Though the magic wasn't appreciate...Malik would have his head for that one if anything got destroyed. Another looked to the dragon and a frow. Dirty elves? Well this was intersting.

Though as the dragon took his leaves, his attention went back to Cahan. "Then you better curb the behavior...Lord D'vinn is first and foremost prideful of his race. I dare say that anyone who calls elves 'dirty' isn't going to gain his favor, and with you partnering with those that insult, that puts you under his disfavor as well. And you might want to referain from possibly destorying his things and his land...doesn't appreciate. Bottom line...D'vinn does not strike deal with those with ill thoughts towards what is his. Be it race or enviroment."

It was a warning tone to this one, after all he knew how fickle Malik was about his dealings. And yes...Sevilin was going to tell Malik about this all. Because he was under Malik's House, as was his son. What harmed Malik, harmed Sevilin and his own.
