Though his hand shot out and grabbed Onyx's wrist, which had involuntarily swung, claws out at the toddler.
"Malikhai...you have to be more careful than that. Ashlyn is trained and prepared for children's antics. Onyx is not. and felines are more prone to fighting back."
Onyx's roared when his tail got stomped, and his hand did on instinctive reaction start for the object of pain causing, before Malik stopped it and his ears went from pinned back to up again.
"Sorry."
Though his tail did let go alright, and swat the boy's face for good measure.

Cahan raised an eyebrow."So this world has dragons, I would be curious to see how the Gods molded this creatures in this world. I take from the history of this place, that a vast majority of its inhabitants are like myself, travelers. Any idea as to when exactly your master will return. Two of my comrades are heading this way, I don't know how Malik would react to find three new guests at his home." Cahan said with a slight chuckle and a wave of his hand.

"Yes we can say that down here because we don't live here. The Gods we believe in we carry in our hearts with us wherever we go." Patting the child on the head adn then giving a nod and closing her eyes, holding out a hand as it was pronounced her turn. Isle's first reaction? "Neat...well...it's from the Depths...and it's reptilian. Feels like scales..." The whole while running blue tipped fingers over the object and trying to guess by sensitive feel. "They're big and they're kinda stiff, means they're reptilian and not from a fish." Tilting her head in thought, furrowing her brow as she did so. She couldn't quite place it at all...she knew it was scales and that they were held together for some reason, but her mind couldn't fathom what they were arranged as such for...after all, this was an Underdark thing in nature. "Is it...a...type of scale made piece of cloth?" That was as close as she was getting. Not that Lharika would know anymore than Isle, it would probably be Arthur who gave them both a correct term.
Aaannnnd...run to mommy to latch to and get comfort from at that little series of transactions. Roaring was not fun, potiential swiping wasn't fun, especially since kitties had claws, and being chastised wasn't fun either. Thus we did the toddler thing and decided to seek comfort from the woman who gave life to us. Yes indeed. Tug on her tunic, pick me up gesture, little scared look. Success.
Indeed she picked the boy up, but with a chuckle. "Clever, but certinally not the most wise thing." Though she knew it did take pain or a scare to get those tails off once they grabbed you. "It's alright sweetheart." Letting him cuddle for the moment as he may want to. Though the boy had been quite brave before considering he had the guts to poke around at Onyx in the first place. But a look to Onyx and a chuckle. "You have to be ready around children Onyx, they do go to quite the length to get what they want." And Malikhai did have a flare for it.
Silvery eyes looked back over to his father as one hand held to Piper's collar. Yay daddy had saved him from the vah thing. And then they looked to Onyx and a thought crossed his mind. "You let your guard down." Yup, that was his justification. Mommy always said he came from tough stuff and he was quick to take advantage if it was there...wasn't his fault that Onyx wasn't paying attention and thinking him merely harmless. Nope, not at all.
"Seems that it is a sort of rest stop in planar travel really...except now that you can't really planar jump out, you're stuck here unless you find an inventive way out." Giving a snort at that and then a shrug and a sigh. "So, you have others coming...you know you should really send ahead for these things so plans don't clash." Not advise, more or just casual sarcasm. And then a little look of thought. "I have no idea, but seeing as the party is getting bigger, let me try to get a hold of him."
Reaching into his pocket his withdrew a link crystal, a quick thought of who he wanted to contact and then a squeeze to it. Hopefully Malik had his own link crystal on him...or at the very least perhaps Piper would. "Oh Malik, I have some news for you." Yes, more or less talking to the rock and waiting for it to perhaps talk back.

Cahan could not help but c**k an eyebrow as he caught Sevelin talking to a rock, but he made no comment. He was wise enough to know better. Cahan smirked as a small signal was blasted into his head. "It seems that we have some company one of my associates should be arriving any moment. He said with a smirked as he looked up into the celling of the world, as if expecting something to fall from it.
"Sefu of earth, always the show boater. he said as he continued to look up at the sky.

Malik let go of Onyx's wrist, and smirked lightly. before hearing someone's voice that he wasn't so sure he wanted to hear at the moment.
"Great.Excuse me a moment."
Before he got up and walked a little ways off, taking up the stone and after a moment to remember how they worked, talked back.
"What's going on, and why do you have to call me? the fortress isn't coming down around your ears is it?"
Onyx sheathed his claws and looked over at Malikhai.
"Too muxh like his father in some respects. and I didn't let my guard down...if I had, I would have grabbed my tail and not tried to claw you."
Snort and a nod to make the point.

Still sitting in mommy's lap and holding to her collar, he turned somewhat to look at Onyx with a little frown. He didn't understand it, why did people keep saying negative things about his daddy? Daddy wasn't a bad elf, mommy did call him rough around the edges though that was character as he had come to understand. It was upsetting to think that people didn't like his parents, and even more so that since he was indeed so like his father that they weren't liking him either."If it was up, you wouldn't of gotten your tail stepped on." Clucthing to Piper and a slightly fussy tone in his voice.
Piper pet through her son's hair, shaking her head. She knew that look and she knew what he was feeling...but she wasn't going to tell the boy that his father was looked at so harshly because of things he had done way in the past. "Now now you two...Malikhai you know to not start fights and Onyx you shouldn't be fighting with toddlers anyway, you're bigger." Detaching the child from herself and setting him on the floor.
"No the fortress in intact," looking up a moment as his new friend did...why did he have the feeling he wasn't going to be happy about the next few moments? Okay guards up and back to conversation. "In fact I shouldn't even be here right now. But it just so happens that you're away and you have a guest and he's bringing friends." Yes he knew that didn't sound like a good reason to interupt one of Malik's 'family' times. He hit people for that. So then, let's continue. "But as I hear it they are important guests that are helping you with your Purian problems that I assume your wife isn't keen on. One before is now three. What do you want me to do with them then, seeing as it's a no no to turn them away and I'm sure you don't want to earn thier ire."

Leaf shrugged. "Only because your writer wanted to embarras me. He has succeded."
There was not much to gain from simply standing there, so she followed here the Naga lead them. "I fear perhaps this creature has eaten the Element we need. But then, he seems unstable enough to merely think that he has, or mistaken any number of things for the Element. She climbed up the stairwell without hesitation.
Angry, Deidrick stomped in av ery angry dog-sih way. "Come, come! I am busy now, I have things to do." One head looked back at the young girl and starred at her hard. "Someone has brought to light some tihngs that need to be looked after." Anthoer head was growling.
He made his way to the clinic that Moonstone owned, and around to the back where they could enter his upstairs appartment.

"One is now three? oh joy. well...put them in a waiting area, we should be home in about an hour or less. Rune them in if you want."
before deactivating the crystal with a slight annoyed sound. damn them things that come up.
Onyx stuck his tongue out.
"the only reason you were able to step on it was becuase it was around your wrist. I'm too fast otherwise."
that tail waving back and forth in a taunting manner.

And he was still arguing with the child. If he incited a tantrum from the boy, Onyx was most certinally going to hear it from a pissed mother. But her attention turned to Malik at that noise of his, she knew what that noise meant. Sure, let's add something else to the plate shall we? "What's the matter love?"
More or a little frown, he was being mocked now. Namely being told he was too slow. And his part he got from his mother, where his bolstering of courage got him perhaps into trouble and he took on ventures best left alone. Though of course Onyx was truely harmless, he didn't really think that way. "Your tail is long and it can move, you could arch it or swish it. You can't multitask." Oh look, another one of mommy's phrases. But he did watch that tail, moving his head with it's motion.
"An hour or so..." Well that was an hour that his son could cool down in because he was sure the boy was quite upset and Sevilin couldn't deal with an upset child right now. But oh goody he was allowed to use his runes if he wished...though he was thinking better of it perhaps this time. "Will do." Shoving the stone back in his pocket he turned his attention back to his knew friend. "An hour, roughly is your wait time. But we'll wait for your...companions...and then I'll take you inside the fortress until Lord D'vinn does indeed arrive home."

Walking back over to Piper.
"Sevilin with a minor issue at home. nothing serious, just an annoyance to interrupt us."
Onyx's tail waved rippled, corkscrewed and swayed.
"Is that so. can't multitask? Sure I can."
and out came the claws, and tapping on the floor with them, clacking nad making all sorts of little rythmns while his tail played the snake to snake charmer.
"Anything you can do I can do better."

"There's always a minor issue at home." And she had gotten quite used to it by now, hadn't she? Very. So it seemed they'd be heading home soon enough, though that didn't seem so bad. She had some plans to make that neither her husband or son would be too thrilled with, and Malikhai was starting into one of his moods at Onyx's taunting.
He gave the cutest little snicker snort one could have heard in a long time. That's not multitasking, that rythm...anyone can do it." Watching those claws with perhaps a survival aspect behind his eyes. This place hadn't been so fun today. "And you can't hide in small spaces like I can." Making a swipe at that tail with one hand, though his other hand was poised to catch if the first one missed. He learned that early, always have a backup.

Rusty had followed his guide quietly all the way to the clinic. Though he was quiet to others his mind was far from it. He had been deep in thoughts.
First he wondered on where the street kid had left back then but he figured she probably wasn't alone in the matter. Kids would usually go in groups or teams, it was safer that way. He himself used to be in a team...
Then he thought about how to form his questions and speak his mind to Moonstone. If the doctor wasn't too busy that is.
When they finally made it to the clinic's appartment Rusty had a smile on his face.
He bowed to Deidrick. "Thank you for leading me here. Good luck with... ermm.. your plans."

"Very, well, we shall wait, but only for the one about to arrive, the other two are out arranging somethings." He said with a smirk as he pointed towards the not so far aways celling, at a large black blot, that was very quickly becoming much more solid, much bigger, and moving very fast.
The creature let out a powerful roar, as it came into view of the two which waited on the ground for it's arrival. It's a dragon, plain as day, massive creature, with mustard-yellow skin, and emerald green, reptilian eyes. The creature had a large 20 foot wingspan, and it weight close to a ton, of shere muscle and and claws, and jaws. His shout was stubby, but filled with razor sharp teeth. Again it let out another massive roar, and landed roughly on the ground a few away from the pair, with a large thud which shook the ground with great force, picking up a massive cloud of dust and debris with a single movement of its wings.
Shielding his face from the coming barrage and spoke rather solemnly. "Mr. Sevilin I give, you, Sefu of earth."

He wasn't impressed. "Do try to be a bit more subtle...this is a family home and I'm sure Lord D'vinn wouldn't appreciate you frightening his serfs and others under him in his little township." Though a raised eyebrow as the other promptly called him by name...which Sevilin had never given him.
One of two things...this one was too smart for his own good, or some little serf has used his first name instead of his appointed title, neither of which settled well with Sevilin. But he kept being surprised inward and presented that cool non caring look outward. "Master Inthara, if you would. Come along....if your dragon friend can change form, he may come in as well." Turning on his heel and gestureing them to follow.

Sefu changed was nowhere near as dramatic as his over the top entrance, his body quickly changed into his human, which was just as bulky as his natural dragon form. Standing at a massive six foot five, with broad heavy shoulders, and huge hands. His head was completely devoid of hair, giving off a slightly shiny complexion. His eyes, which had taken a much more human appearance still remained there emerald green, which was a large contrast to his dark skin. Sefu wore no shirt, and walked barefoot. A bright yellow fabric wrapped around his lower half.
Cahan turned to look at his comrade as he followed Sevillin in, "Could you be anymore melodramatic, Lord Sefu, I though you were Sefu of earth not Kuro of Fire." Cahan blasted into his mind.
Sefu said nothing and merely followed the other two.
