Lharika huffed out a sigh and then giggled as something was indeed dropped in her hand. "Well, it's rough. Feels like and there's a thong on it." Her hands began feeling all over the patch, testing it's weight, running her fingers along the edges. "The edges aren't finished and the worksmanship definitely isn't elven. There's no symbols or runes or anything on it and I'm not sensing any magical stuff but I'm not real good at that." She thought for a moment. "Kind of worn too, like it's old and it feels curved like it's sat in a special place for a long, long time."
She tilted her head and ran one finger over the smooth surface, nibbling on her bottom lip before she lifted it to her nose and sniffed then licked a corner. "Definitely leather. Smells like it and tastes like I'm eating boots." She giggled then continued, Well...since it's leather it's probably black or a dull brown and it's cracked right here." She demonstrated by bending it slightly and running her finger along the small tear. Her nimble fingers moved to the thong. "This part is slick like it's been immersed or rubbed against something with oils in it." Sniffing she shook her head. "Doesn't smell like a softening oil has been rubbed into it but it kinda smells like that stuff Daddy Kieran used to use on his hair...." She trailed off and then grinned. "Okay Isle, I'm ready for my one hint." She only got one because she was little. "Is it a piece of clothing or armor type thing?"
Zykariel felt teh displacement and woke almost immediately, glancing around and racing into his father's room. Daddy wasn' there. "Daddy!" He pounded his way downstairs and threw himself at his fathe'rs legs. "No Daddy you can't leave!" And then he noticed the polearm. "Are you going to work? I wanna come too!"

And the boy was up. "I thought you were out." Fickle reverie of young elves, it came back to bite you in the a** sometimes. "I have to leave, there's an issue up at Twilight." More or less prying the child from his legs and setting him aside. "No, you can't come. It's getting late and you don't need to be outside at this time. You stay here with Zahara." Holding up a hand as he immediately saw the protest about to come. "No buts Zykariel, you cannot come and there is no way you are going to. This time it's dangerous work." After all, no one knew this guy.
But in common gesture he ruffled the boy's hair. "I'll be back soon as I can son, be good okay? Go on back to bed if you want. But you can't come this time, I'm sorry." That said he pulled a translocation so the boy didn't try for him again, popping up at Twilight and walking up behind this stranger. "I was told you are looking for Lord D'vinn? Mayhaps I'll do in his place..."

Arthur was wondering just what Isle would pick in order for little Lark to play the game that she was eggar to start, so there he stood hands in his pockets but then he noticed Isle giving a sort of sly look and that set of bells in his head, just what is she thinking in that pretty head of hers? So he watched quietly as the elf walked over to him, then he watched Isle's eyes as she framed his head and then she thrusted her fingers though his hair which made a blush explode on his face, he really liked the feeling of fingers running through his hair. "Isle..." He mumbled as he was fixed on those teal orbs until she pulled away, that's when he noticed that she had his eyepatch in her hands. Blinking a few times he reached up and touched the area his eyepatch use to be, finding only bare flesh and not leather, hoping that she didn't see his horrible eye he quickly covered his left eye with his hand. Grumbling lightly so Lark wouldn't hear he watched in silence when the elf dropped his eyepatch in her small hands and waited to see if she could guess what she was holding.
So he stood there, his hand over his left eye as Lark went about describing his eyepatch, talking about how it isn't elven, how it's been worn in after staying over his eye for a number of years; then he looked on with a shocked face as she proceeded to lick a corner, that was just a little creepy, well to him anyway. He looked at Isle with a 'I hope you're happy' look and sighed as he watched the little elf go through their version of 'eye spy' until she asked for a hint. Well Arthur was going to give her one but something stopped him, it was the sight of a person walking by them, this man seemed to be watching them with some intent as if he wanted something, but the elf has sensed other things before and he felt like this man was responsible for what he was noticing but he let it pass, for now he'll keep his other senses on alert just incase.

Yes she noticed the attention from thier little visitor, but knew not what it was about. The behavior seemed almost provoking. But her elven nature and patience made her act as if she wasn't paying attention to the potiential threat and merely focus on the child and the game. Hey if it wanted attention so directly, it would seek it that way too. Though yes she was a little surprised when Isle emplored taste as well. " What did Kiearan tell you about using taste? Only if smell tells you it's alright...you don't know what you're holding right off. You never let me have hints...I'm not giving you any hints by next year. But you get your one this time. It's a piece of clothing." A look to Galesen. "She's gotten very good at it very fast. We use all of our senses except our sight." Back to Lharika. "Guesses?"
Meanwhile she had wandered over back to Galesen and again brought her hands to his face as she stood before him, taking hold of his wrist and pulling his hand away from his face, then bringing her other hand up to play with his hair so that it fell into a position that his eye that was usuallt covered with a patch was now guised by hair. Not that it was a terrible sight in itself, just sunken flesh over which the organ used to cover, wasn't like his eyelid was gone or anything. But she would do her best to make him feel comfortable since she did steal the patch.

A sly smile broke across his lips, as he turned to face the voice who spoke to him. "I would much prefer to speak to your master, but I take he is not in?". Cahan said with a wave of his hand, answering the question before the other hand the opportunity to do so instead. "Very well, I shall speak to you of business and conquest then. he said as he extended his hand to the other. "I have met your master before, though I was wearing a different skin, he said with a smile momentarily shifting his face to that of the now truly dead Dragomyzl, before shifting back to his own uneartly pale continence.

Onyx turned his head around, the tail instantly coiling about the boys wrist. mind of it's own sometimes.
"She's part bird an dpart feline, yes. but she's a Griffon, I'm a Vah. normally Vah don't have wings. I'm special, like my father."
That got a raise of an eye brow from Malik.
"Oh really."
"Not that way."
"Ah. good to know."
Before crossing his arms some and watching some more. and looking at Piper.
"and your incorrigable. You want them around again, eh?"
Onyx's attention went back to the younger elf.
"I have a twin too. He's white..his name is Moonstone, and he's a doctor around here."

"But that's the only way I would know for sure it was leather Isle..." sHe remembered that talk with Daddy Kieran about taste after he'd dropped a scroll into her hand and the resin on the parchment had made her sick. "But I still get one this year and you don't need hints. You've seen a lot more than I have, Isle." But grinning as she thought she had her verdict. "Either it's a funny necklace or it's a patch. And the only place you could get a patch from is Arthur. Is it his eye patch?"
"I've come before when it's been dangerous...Daddy, I wanna come with youuuu." And the minute Sevilin blipped out and Zykariel realized what had happened, he lost it. He started crying and jumping up and down. "Daddy! Come back, I wanna go too. Don't leave me here! I wanna commmee!" He kicked at the wall and threw himself on the stairs, kicking and screaming, his tears running down his cheeks. "Noooo! DADDYYYYY!"
Zahara was jolted out of reverie by the screams and she sat up and immediately looked around for Sevilin. He must be having one of his bad reveries again. But Sevilin was gone and she was alone...in his bed. She cringed as the toddler's screams carried up the stairs and echoed around the house and sighed. Perfect. Shoving herself up out of bed, she pulled on a nightgown and belted her robe then walked down the stairs, before she saw the fit Zykariel was throwing. And no Sevilin. She was going to take this one step at a time. By the gods what times was it? "Zykariel?"
He ignored her and kept right on screaming for his father, getting louder adn louder.
"Zykariel!" She waited approximately three seconds adn tried again. "ZYKARIEL!" Hmm yelling wasn't working and neither was gentle words. So she walked the few steps down adn lifted the screaming and flailing child up and sat on teh stairs with him. "Zykariel, calm down. Tell me what's wrong."
He pushed against her and squirmed in her hold still crying. "I...want...Daddyyyy..."
She started rubbing his back in soothing gesture the way she had when he was a baby and started getting fussy. Now they were getting somwhere. "and where did he go?"
"To work.." Still crying.
Work? This late at night? Okay... She kept on rubbing at the little boy's back. "You know he'll be back Kariel, he always comes back."
He shook his head, not mollified in the least. "I want him back now!"
Hmm wrong thing to say. The kid wasn't even crying anymore, just making noise. "Zykariel. Stop it right now. That's not going to get him back and you know it. He'll come back when he's finished working. Besides, you get to stay with me. We can play a game or bake cookies, or whatever you want to do."
He stopped his noisemaking and glared at her then shoved himself out of her arms. "I don't want you. I don't want to stay with you. I don't want to bake cookies and I don't wanna play a game. I...want...DADDY!"
Ouch. THat one hurt her ears and her personally. Since when did he not want her? And since when did he not want to bake cookies? The child went on screaming for another ten minutes as she frantically tried to think of a solution. Maybe she should call Sevilin and see if he could come back.... No! She told herself harshly, that wouldn't do either of them any good. She picked up the screaming child and plopped him in a chair at the table then sat down and stared at him.
He was too immersed in his own fit to realize that she wasn't really paying attention anymore but after a while he opened his eyes and looked at her then stopped. Crossing his arms he glared at her.
"Hungry?"
"Daddy."
"More reverie?"
"Daddy!" a little more insistent.
Gods help her she was going to strangle the child. "Well then how about you and I just sit here and stare at each other until you can be a good boy and calm down. Do you want something to eat?"
"....Daddy."
"I don't really think he wants to be eaten Zykariel. I think he might get a bit upset about that."
The toddler couldn't help it. He sniffed and cracked a smile. Then frowned again adn repeated stubbornly. "Daddy."
She nodded solemnly. "Well okay if you insist, let's see what I can do with cookies. Maybe I can make them look like Sevilin..."

"Lord D'vinn does have family and business to attend to." Yeah...things Sevilin would like to be informed of seeing as Malik often left him as the face in charge when he was gone. Though a raise of an eyebrow at some shifting of apperance this one did. Gods, Malik really needed to let him know about these kinds of people...though this was probably one of those guys that Malik didn't want his wife to get wind of.
"Well then, you have a reputation with him, but not I. So them, do impression upon me the need to listen to you and pay attention so that I may give my employer news. Speak of this business and conquest then before you perhaps forget." Planting one blade of his polearm in the ground and then leaning on it almost casually.
Okay, she'd admit, it was partially cute how Malik kept picking apart Onyx's sentences. Therefore he was spared a second jab from an elbow from her. Instead she merely leaned on his shoulder. "I am not, they know better than to act like that inside my house. And well...they have feathers, what's not to love about them?" And well...they reminded her of Cymarron, not that she would ever say that to Malik seeing as the two were still on hostile terms with one another. "They have thier redeeming moments. Like when they made me laugh for example." That would be the laughing that had occured after her brush with Kaden. Ah elven memory.
He gave a little jump and gasp as Onyx's tail grabbed around his wrist and he promptly gave a few tugs, only to plop to his backside as his boots slipped out from under him from his tugging. And he sat there, trying to work the tail off of him. Hm, this was interesting...Ashlyn's tail didn't do this. "A twin?" The concept of twins was a little lost on him, after all, elves didn't have twins. However children never dwelled too long. "Did you name yourselves after rocks like the horses do? Or did you get yours from your parents?" He still didn't get why anyone would name anyone after rocks. "I ain't never been to a doctor." A smile at that, yup he was one healthy little boy...at least he thought so.

Cahan let out a laugh, and gave Sevilin a raise of an eyebrow. "I take that your employer is not the kind of man that gives out information freely, even to those that may need it later.", Cahan said with a slight shrug. "Your employer struck a deal with myself and my three comrades. You see we came from another dimension to seek an item of great importance to our people which was thrown into this world sometime ago, one of my comrades promised Malik that is we were able to bring the Pura Peninsula under his power, he would use his resources to help us find that which we seek. Though at the time he believed us to be a reanimated corpse. In short, we have taken steps to ensure his conquest, but must tell him of this plans if they are to succeed.

Arthur nodded lightly, to him this was a good game to test a persons senses and it would help them incase they ever lose their sight to a spell or injury and have to wander around the house touching things. "Well by the looks of things she's been playing this version of 'I spy' a lot when she was on the surface." Everytime he spoke of the surface he had a bit of a driving force in it telling anyone who noticed that he wanted to go up there really badly, he wanted to see the sky and the mountains and everything else in between and more! But right now he was here, in the Underdark without his eyepatch as little Lark was trying to figure out that what she was holding was what he was wearing just a few minutes ago.
Though he didn't notice Isle walking over towards him until she filled his limited vision, shifting in embarrassment a little he stood there as she reached up and grasped his wrist, pulling his hand away slowly to expose his eye, which was close of course. "Isle please..." He whispered but that didn't stop her, instead she placed her hand in his hair and played around with it until it was covering his eye; blushing lightly he turned his attention somewhere else as he mumbled "Thank you." Before they both looked back towards little Lark who was complaining about being allowed to guess and the other restrictions she had on her. "You can tell if it's leather by the feel of it Lark, I can tell leather by just touching it with my finger tips, it's different than the other fabrics some people wear remember that." Though he smiled lightly when Lark had finally guessed what the item really is and gave a small chuckle. "You guess right little one, it is my eye patch." Well at least she got it on her first try.

"He speaks of things that keep his own blood safe, and things that don't are often heard in whispers and in passing, so as to spare them." That was all he was going to say on that before he crossed his arms lightly. "So, he's taken on another swordarm against the Purians to try and get an alliance with them has he? Ever determined." A little smirk and then a snicker.
Sevilin shifted his weight to one side, red eyes reguarding the one who stood before him. "So then you're saying that you can't do this on your own but you also need some assistance from him? Or are you saying that you need him to be aware of what you do so that he may tell his own stories to others accordingly?"
A little nod to Galesen, that understanding look to her eyes before they turned to Lharika with a giggle at Galesen's words. "She can tell what kind of leather though, not that it's just leather. Anyone can tell leather, but not leather type." She reached out and pet Lharika on the head. "Good job Lharika. You're going to start beating me all the time soon." And then a look to Arthur. "Your turn. Close your eyes." Waiting for him to do so before she reached into a beltpouch and felt around. Ah there was somethign truely worth the game.
From her belt pouch she drew out what looked like a flower blossom, but it seemed to be made of blue crystal and had a cool feeling to it. It was of course one of the crystal flowers that came from Andal when winter was about, the ice and cold making the blosson crystalize into something that could be kept as a crytsal piece of decoration. Taking hold of Galesen's hand, she upturned his palm and gently laid it in his hand. "No peeking now."

She grinned happily and opened her eyes when she was told that she was indeed right. Sure enough there lay Arthur's eye patch in her little hand. Arthur was next. Still holding his eye patch, she watched as Isle placed a crystal flower in his hand and she shook her head. To her that one was really, really easy but then she remembered that Arthur didn't live on Andal like she did and there weren't any crystal flowers in the Underdark, at least not that she'd ever seen.
She reached out and handed Isle his patch then nodded her head to him. Sometimes newbies had to have their eyes covered for them so they didn't peek. For a while she'd worn a blindfold when it was her turn to guess. "No peeking is right Arthur. Peeking ruins the point of the game." At least that's what she'd been told and now that she was older, well it made sense.

Cahan smiled suddenly became very evil looking a slight look of bloodlust in his eyes. For a split second his ice blue eyes took on a reptilian shape. "I would prefer you never call me a man again. Those monkeys are my food, not my friends. he commented, a slight flash of anger suddenly in his voice, then back to his emotionless one. "I don't need his help persay, my comrades and I would find the conquest of that place easy enough, but, politics have always been my game, so I decided to play it that way. And that way your employer has an entire continent of slaves. Minus the few dozen or so, me and my allies are going to eat. But as you said, best he now the plan, so that he may better know how to lie." He said with a sly smile.

Sevilin loved being right. "Good for you, you don't want to be called something so close to a human any more than an elf does." Another smirk from him. "Do yourself a favor and don't eat anything with ears three inches or more in length...anything less and you can have a barbacue for all I care."
Now politics? Sevilin as always more of a slash and stab man personally, or passive aggressive in his nature. But Malik did love his politics...especially ever since he married Piper and fathered a son. And hey, Malik didn't exactly have 'slaves' these days...or he didn't call them that due to his family and the influence it may have on his son, but he knew that Malik wouldn't turn his nose at that...though Sevilin did know how delicate the situation was at the same time.
"I would think...that a treaty of alliance formed under false pretences other than slavery and well...you and yours eating them...would be far more tasteful to all members. After all...Lord D'vinn is under much speculation and has many watchful eyes on him in certain aspects...perhaps looking for such a forceful screw up. I dare saw your plans need be subtle a bit. After all you don't want him slaying one of your own who attack to merely portray the hero, do you?"
A pause. "Are you going to share this plan with me or is that his alone to know?"

Arthur smiled lightly when he saw that look on Isle face, at least someone finally understands him and wont give him a lecture about being weak because of his eye; it seems that Isle was that one thing he needed in his life, even if she will only be here for a little while. "Oh...well that I never thought of...well then if she can tell the difference then good for her she's really skilled!" He said with a light chuckle followed by a happy sigh, and now it seemed that it was his turn to play the game so without any complaining he closed his eye and waited for the item of their choice to be placed in his hand, thought he kept on getting warning not to peak but they shouldn't worry he's not a cheater.
So he stayed quiet until he felt his hand get turned over and something was gently laid in it, that gave him some information that it maybe fragile, and right off the bat it felt cool. "Wow that's a little cold." He pointed out and raised his other hair and started to touch the time with his finger tips. "Hmmm...it feels smooth a little, hard but yet the form...feels like petals...the center feels familiar..." He paused for a second as his fingers traced the outer edge of the flower slowly, he knew it was a flower based on the shape but there was something different about this one. "it's gotta be a flower...but there is more you wouldn't give me something that easy...can I have a hint?" Hey if Lark can have one then he should get one too.
