Hahaha yeah that's why I don't care what people think since I try to keep it healthy since I know I'm burning a lot of calories. Today we were doing sprints and I felt ready to pass out half the time because I hadn't had time to grab something to eat before I left. Lt Porter kept asking if I was alright. He usually just knows I'll live and continues but today he gave me orders not to push myself too hard but to rest if I needed it.

I have been tempted to do that myself, and from what Sargeant Glad said, that's what I think will happen if we wind up with blisters during our field training because he called it beating up on your foot. I should probably do that to the blister on my hand because at one point I'm afraid I'm going to be doing pushups and the strain on it will cause it to burst and then I'll really be in pain. Only problem is I don't have a needle and I don't care much for bandages. I just leave it open and move on.

That saying actually made me laugh really hard. My best friend is a Hufflepuff to the core. And back when I was stupid I told her that Hufflepuff had no talent and she decked me a good one.

That is totally awesome about the shirts!!! I would totally buy one from you!! Today was the day to wear the shirt and on the back of the shirt, after it dried I wrote "Proud Hufflepuff". And only like 10 people in my hole school knew what it was, and one was a teacher!!! I found another obsessed Harry Potter fan in school that I didn't know what there. We have another Spirit week in February and I want to get my friends togehter and have them make shirts for the other 3 houses!!! With like the sorting hat song for that house on them!

Wow, it sounds like your having a tough time with your training Lily. I hope that it gets easier for you. I think its awesome that you can even survive through it because I don't think I could last one day. Really. I'm too big of a person.

That's a good idea about the shirts, and as for the training I'm just glad they lightened up today. I'm small but I'm out of shape so I've been suffering through it. I'm a little nervous for tomorrows paint ball thing though. It's supposed to be like we are in a battle field at war but with paint instead of led. Either way, I refuse to give up and keep reminding myself that I'm doing this for the training so I can join the military. Check out my profile to see just how into this I am.

eek I want to be you tomorrow! I love paint ball, yeah they sting just a bit when you wear normal clothing, but I normally kick butt! The only person that can beat me is Padfootspet's husband and that is because all he does is play 1st person shooting games. blaugh What you have to do you pick your ground and hold it. You want cover from the rear and partial coverage in front. Stay low, find your target and when your sure of your shot, take it. If someone sees you and starts firing, duck and stay down till there is a lull in the firing. Be sure to what where the paint balls are hitting and what angle there coming in on. Once you have that, pop up and shoot a couple times and hit the deck again. Keep trying to you hit the person shooting at you. Listen well too. You can hear someone sneaking up on you normally, breathing, steps, or the padding creaking. This is important other wise someone can sneak up on you even with cover from the back, but it cuts down on the chance of you being seen. Use your ground layout to your advantage. Like when we play on my uncle's farm their is a little ravine and I lay on the bottom and shoot others as they come over the ridge. You can hear them, and see them normally before they see you.

Teaming up is always fun. Be sure each person knows their role. The sniper (me mrgreen ) , the man who covers the rear, the people who are taking the front, and scouts (aka bait). Have fun. 3nodding

How was your spirit day grep? That is funny there are only ten people who got it. xd

Actually it's not normal paint balling. We are practicing tactics so it's as if we are in a battle field during a war. We will be in our squads (About 10 people or so) seperated in our teams (About 5 people) We will be in a wedge formation that the US military uses for battle which is the team leader in the front, then the grenader and the automatic rifleman behind and to the left and right, and then the regular riflemen in the back even farther left and right. With two teams there will be two wedges, one right behind the other and pretty much we are either walking into an ambush, or setting up an ambush. If we get shot once we are dead and have to lay there until told otherwise. We have to have all sorts of codes and passwords so our squad knows we are friendly's and they don't attack us. So yeah, we are pretty much going to the battle grounds were we will be at war with other people in ROTC and instead of using lead to shoot with, we are using paint so we don't really kill anyone. We are also not in regular clothes. We are in army clothes. You know the whole combat uniform with the camoflouge and that. We have to wear the combat boots, this belt with suspenders that holds our canteens, amunition, and first aid packs and we have elbow and knee pads on. (It's required because of the crawling and falling we will be doing as we get down. If they weren't required I wouldn't wear them.) We also have this frame backpack that weighs about 30 pounds and has wet weather pants, a wet weather jacket, a pancho. 2 pairs of socks, a pair of black leather gloves and the knitted inserts for them, and an extra uniform. All of it is required so packing it made me feel like I really was heading out to war. It was rediculous. I have to be in the camo uniform without the extra belt/suspenders, the backpack, and knee and elbow pads the entire time I'm at school because it's required on Thursdays. That means that I'll also have my Duffle which will be packed with the clothes I run in each morning, as well as my school books. It's insane. Though I'm kind of excited because I get to go to war and not get hurt. mrgreen

I had lots of fun, but I was so confused through all of it I wanted to scream. I would be laying in the dirt preparing to shoot on command when half my team started shouting that they were dead. It was so random that I was like "What the hell?" But instead I was taking orders from the other girl that took over since our team leader got killed.

As for the exercise I do, it's not required. My goal is to join the military so I'm working on getting into shape. In reality I just have to go on Friday mornings, and on Thursday afternoons and Thursday afternoons is the fun stuff like paint ball, ropes course, repelling, and all that. Fridays we do random exercises but not that bad since it's once a week. Plus we have lecture twice a week. Other than that everything else I do is extra credit. I don't do it for the extra credit though because like I said, I'm in it for the training so I don't die in basic.

Okay guys, just so you know. I am alive.
I have had a really rough couple of weeks
though, so I am really sorry I have missed
out on things, and I would appreciate it if anyone
can bring me up to date on things and put
things that need to be done to my attention.
Thanks a bunch! Ash

Hi Hare. Not to much. Winners for the contests for house appreciation need to be announced, besides the normal up keep. Other then that, not much. Grey is off and on because she is under the weather, grep has Spirit Week at her school next week I think it was, Lily went on a paint ball training game, and Catna dropped in to say hello a few days ago. I think that covers the outline of discussion. There is a tek-tek Hagrid contest going on if you want to try that and in the dueling club, there is a new feature and raffle going on if you want to go look it's on the announcement page.

How are you and may I asked what happened? If not that's okay. I'm sorry your last few weeks were rough on you. I now how that feels, everything that can go wrong, does go wrong, pulse a whole slew of problems you hadn't even thought about come in. I had that yesterday, my computer went wonkie and had to do a five hour scan of all the files to screech for the problem and found a load of issues, I had to clean mechanical grease out of the tub because my father refused to wash up with the hose before showering, thus it was all over the tile and tub, then I had to do his laundry which ta da was covered in grease, my rabbit ate through a lamp cord but never got zipped, thank god, there was a sunk sleeping in the bushes under my windows, my mother got my order wrong for subs, so I didn't get something I could enjoy eating and had to force it down, my dad stole the only part of my dinner that was right (fried mushrooms) and ate them on me, I did house work all day and five minutes after I got the computer fixed my brother forced me off to watch Red vs. Blue, I had writers block and I couldn't draw. So I settled in and found out HOUSE was on and watched a marathon of it. I swear that and seeing Steffyss in person yesterday was the only thing that saved it.

Jokes normally make me feel better so:

Hope that got at least a bemused snicker.

Hello Amelia! I don't know if we have met and if we did, I don't remember. I am Gerp, soon to be a 5th year (this is actually my 300th post!!!!) So, HELLO!!!!!

Welcome back Ash. I am glad to see that you have dropped in. I am sorry that your week has going bad. If I could, I would give you 1/2 of the great week that I have had to make you feel better.

Actually, my spirit week was this week and today was the homecoming football game. I was all pumped and my best friend and I painted our faces black and our hair orange for those are our school colors. The only sad part about tonight is that our football team lost their game horribly. Other than that, I LOVE homecoming. The atmosphere is just.... amazing. Plus, I got to talk to this guy I have a major crush on... like, major. XD We hung out and talked the entire dance after the game.

I hope everyone's has a great weekend, I don't know how much I will be on after this because I have to work most of the weekend.

Welcome back Ash. I've had an entertaining week also because it's been homecoming week. We had the game last night and unlike Gerps team we lost only by a bit. I was so into it that I had a death grip on the railing in front of me. The guy I like was laughing saying he was glad I wasn't gripping him because the bar looked like it was in pain. Normally the only sports I get into like that is Baseball, but last nights 4th quarter was intense. Of course that was after I pissed off the 1st Sargeant really nicely. Chapman (The guy I like) and I were together all day and laughing and sitting close so we didn't pay attention to the game until the 1st Sargeant decided to send us down to the cannon. I think it was a form of punishment because he had tried everything he could think of to get us to shut up and be respectful so decided to have us go deaf with the cannon instead. Didn't work though because not even after 1st quarter rolled around we got sent back to the stands and had to sit by the first Sargeant. I don't think he was too happy about that.

xd I love when punishments don't work like people think they will. Anyway, it;s a football game. It's suppose to be loud and raucous. That is why they have a press box, speakers and mics. The only time you will really get in trouble is when your in the band and you don;t stop playing when asked, because it violates some weird rule. The only time we are aloud to play, when the ball is in motion is when there is a field goal kick and then only one snare, and a single symbol player are aloud. The snare does a roll, and the symbol player holds up their symbol to the snare player and when the kicker hits the ball, the snare player hits the symbol.

I really didn't care for football because we always lost, I prefer Rodeo sports. Yet I figured out how to get by the boredom I could store a cd player, a small book, a deck of playing cards, a small snack and juice box, along with extra reeds, my music and cork grease in my uniform, and be able to march and high step, with no trouble. I only did this for football games, never a competition, to big of a risk for something to go wrong. Those of you that don't know a uniform has only one very small four inch by three inch inside pocket, on the left side in most cases.

I'm glad your didn't have a harsh punishment though.

Hi Ash! I hope this week goes better for you!

Katie, I clicked on your new yellow and green striped egg. How do you get eggs? Everytime I go to the dragon cave it says 'You expected to see some eggs, but there are none to be found.'

Thanks to everyone who voted for Ripped and Torn, the fanfiction I found last month! And we got an extra 5 points because LHH gave points to 2 other stories, and then decided the winner should receive more.

Anyway, I am entering this month, because that gives our House an automatic five points. BUT please vote for Gerp91 - here story is great! I loved it! Plus if we all vote on the same story, we have a good chance of winning!

Hey Tonks. You have created your own account right? If so then here is what you need to do. Randomly, they create eggs on the home page. Normally 5 minutes before or after the hour. You'll have to be really, really, really quick to get one. Or go here http://dragcave.net/abandoned to adopt abandon eggs, that were breed or simply abandoned. There aren't as many people waiting on to snatch a egg on this page. But be quick about making up your mind. Keep hitting F5 (refresh) and your mouse posed to click. It's easier I find to get eggs there. And to help you raise your eggs you can go to http://crackingegg.angelfire.com/rules.html, and click the link to the forums for Dragon Cave. Reading the rules will explain everything you need for this site, also on Gaia there is a Dragon Cave guild, and you can post your eggs in the Chatter Box Forum to get clicks. If you need to know anything else just ask.
