*Goodness Mugiri was on a roll, "His woman", "His mistress", "Your Nana". If it wasn't one thing to make her blush, it was to keep her there. If this kept up, it was likely Nana might not be saying anything else for the entire outting. It wasn't hard to get her to pinken up, to tease and poke fun, it was a weakness of hers, or a trait which was rather endearing and at times adorable about her. Others seemed to be happy when ever they saw Nana's cheeks light up in a blush, no matter what seemed to cause it*

Mugiri lowered his head. "I will just watch the fight." He murmured, turning around. He furrowed his brow, and cursed himself for his stupidity.

Tyrsais

::Tyrsais would turn around looking to Murgiri. He chuckled slightly at the conversation if anything was more amusing to him then death it was likely uncomfortable situations. He would motion toward Mugiri for a moment before speaking::

What now... not only do you prove to be less then capable of protecting yourself against a fledgling in a his first day as a vampire and now you can't even speak. Lets hope you are a quick learner before you end up another body for someone whom sneaks out of the shadows...

::He would grin slightly at him showing his fangs to the newcomer looking over to Nana for a moment giving her a slight wink. He would begin to pace around obviously getting bored of watching the two bots do battle.::

It wasn't entirely unexpected that Tyr would seek to belittle the new addition to the citadel; it just seemed his nature to be defiant and rather confrontational. Such traits weren't entirely unbecoming of a fighter, though. The usefulness of these traits didn't stop Slayer from noticing that turning on his comrade wasn't going to help, and Slayer would have made his voice known if Thanatos had not acted on the same idea first.

"Hoi! Tyr-san that's not very fair; maybe you can go around judging whether people are good fighters, maybe that is your forte, but you're hardly in a place to tell him he can't speak!" Than seemed rather unamused at everything as he stepped out of the shadows. In walking out, his right leg became caught inside the shadow. Still a little ticked at Tyr, Than promptly turned around, grabbed his leg, and started pulling on it to get it uncaught from the shadow. It took a few loud grunts and tugs but Than's leg was freed and he instead used his right arm to catch himself as he fell to the ground and right himself; he resumed his words to Tyr. "Oh sure maybe he's not good at talking to people, at least people he's never met before, but that's hardly something you can claim to be good at. On that point, which one of us here is the guy who experiments with self-engineered poison by injecting them into his own neighbors without telling them?" Than let off his snort, not too unlike the one Eecheb had sounded at Mugiri earlier, and decided he'd said enough, though he could happily point out more of Tyr's past anti-social behavior.

Thanatos's arrival was sure to draw some attention, and might help Nana take her mind off of anything that made her redden. Mastema grinned rather happily at Thanatos's somewhat violent entrance. "I am glad you could join us, Thanatos. I can appreciate your distaste towards Himura, but I doubt he would have made any of his comments without knowing the consequences; I have experience to show that it would not bother him either way." Mastema didn't really find Tyr's comments any more necessary than most of his insults, but Tyr just didn't respond well to scoldings. In his own opinion, Mastema believed the best way for Thanatos to 'correct' Tyr was to be condescending rather than confrontational. Slayer had managed to rouse Tyr's anger with just one well placed comment.

Than huffed lightly, figuring Mastema was probably right; though, it didn't mean he had to simply sit by when Tyr mouthed off. "Hai, Otosan. I would have been here sooner if I didn't get lost while warping around." He smiled and laughed a little, seeming to have easily gotten over his momentary rage. After responding to Mastema, Than turned back and looked at Eecheb, who'd perked up when he arrived, and continued smiling.

With the little spat over, one could now notice that Than's attire was entirely changed from what people normally saw of him: he was clad almost entirely in white. Than's pant legs and sleeves were no longer extraordinarily long; in fact, they were shorter than normal if anything. His pants were lightly baggy, and the top of the pants were low enough that his hips were easily visible and if it was any lower it could probably be considered indecent exposure. The pants extended down his legs to the bottom of his ankles, making it hard to tell if he was wearing boots or shoes. Around each ankle were parallel blue bands attached to the pants, with an inch of space between them. Than's boots were as white as his pants and looked sturdy in their own right. Perhaps the most extravagent garment was Than's new jacket. It's design was unique in that it was meant to be normally worn in a way a normal jacket would look if it were half disrobed. All the skin at an above Than's collar bones was bare, and the top of the jacket only covered his arms, apart from his shoulders, his sides, and his back. The front of the jacket was open, as Than's trait, and left his entire from mostly bare. The sleeves went from nearly covering his entire hands to the bottom of his shoulders; the main body of the jacket only went from just over half way down Than's lower torso to half way up his shoulder blades. All in all, his jacket looked like it was defying gravity and should have fallen off in this state; unless one looked in side, one wouldn't know there were special strapped in the sleeves holding the jacket up instead of Than's shoulders. Around the rim of the jacket was a line of black fluff that went from one arm, around his back, and to the other arm. Additional notes about Than's attire were the white and silver collar he was wearing, the 'chain link' earrings he had on that went from his ear lobes to half way down his neck, and the crosses placed on the back of each sleeve; the cross on the right sleeve had the top facing towards the end of the sleeve and the one on the left pointing toward Than's elbow. It was obvious that Than had his red left arm again.

With his sword destroyed, it was time for Proto to take a new combat strategy, wasting no time in throwing the hilt at Zeno out of spite. His right shoulder was visibly damaged from Zeno's last hit, and it was obvious that to stand a chance against Zeno's lightning endowed sword Proto would have to come up with a powerful weapon of his own. Accessing his own private network through Zio, Proto used its teleportation program to bring him another weapon. Holding his right arm out to his side, Proto's own prototype plasma sword would appear. The sword in real life was about five feet long, not including the handle. One side of the blade was a normal metal blade, which would also be made more dangerous by having an electric current run through it, and the other half of the blade was a gap where the plasma edge would be when the weapon was activated. Grasping the hilt with both hands, he pointed the tip towards Zeno and activated the weapon. Within a few seconds, the powerful internal electrical mechanisms of the weapon came to life and constricted a tight magnetic field to the gap side of the sword. Once the field was made, an extremely powerful 'ignition' charge produced the plasma inside the magnetic field. The plasma blade now glowed brightly with a green tint to it. It was an impressive sight to anyone who looked. Now it would be seen how the weapon faired in battle.

Mugiri didnt even turn around to respond. "I didn't even try to kill that child, and he was lucky. He, nor you, have seen my full potential, and I think you should thank your stars that you haven't or else it might have been your blood that my blade drank today." He finally turned, a perturbed expression on his face. "Mastema hasn't even seen everything, and he was at least impressed enough to welcome me here."

::Tyrsais only chuckled more not even bothering to turn toward Thanatos. He seemed be thrive off the conflict in his life, one could say that he wasn't happy unless those around him were unhappy. Tyrsais would rest his hand along the hilt of his blade. He would slowly run his hand up the blade causing a trail of red energy to flow out between his hand and the blade::

Ohh... It seems the hero has arrived... Thanatos the pure, I think it will fit with your new outfit my friend. It will only be a matter of time until those nice new clothes of yours are blood red with the lifeblood of those you have failed if you are careful not to repeat your past. So I'll take my history over yours.

::Tyr would look briefly to Mugiri then to Mastema looking a bit amused by the response obviously. He would bow slightly to Mugiri and take a mocking step back displaying an obviously fake fear::

Well I stand corrected my dear master of the art of combat... I'll be sure to watch exactly what it is that you truly have...

Mugiri's face displayed more anger, and he huffed, before speaking again. "The point is that I could put you down without my best. I'm afraid you'd be dead before I reached my top level." Mugiri's eye turned farker, a slight ring of red forming around his pupil, barely noticeable.

*It wasn't really stupidity that was supposedly Mugiri's downfall, Nana was just to easy to poke fun at, whether intentional or not. Nana wouldn't even hear the little bout from Tyrsais to Mugiri, nor would she see the wink. She still seemed to enveloped in her blushed haze, just enough to barely feel Mastema's hand around her back. Thanatos' voice was a nice interuption, though it would still take several seconds before Nana slowly turned to look to where the voice wa coming from. By then Thanatos was out of the wall, and speaking to Tyrsais. Though once Nana did see the boy, his new attire was a bit of a shock*

o.o; | !

*If it hadn't been obvious before, then by now it was obvious that all of the children had noticed and were now looking at Thanatos. Trilla had spotted the red arm of course, how could she not? Her wings would flex a bit and rise an inch or two, she seemed excited. Eecheb's tail seemed to be wagging slightly, he too appeared to be energetic and happy to see Thanatos. Micha of course was the hardest child to guage, though he appeared to be looking at Thanatos' new wardrobe. With all eyes on him, not one of them was watching the spar for the moment. What was Mugiri going on about in the background though? Someone was trying to kill a child? It couldn't have been Yuri, he wasn't even after one of the children was he? Mastema stood in his way from doing so anyhow. All in all it seemed the two were belting bravado back and forth. Eecheb would snort lightly through his nose when Tyrsais spoke again. If no one else had been around... who knows, perhaps the boy would have taken a swing at the vampire... well, actually he might try anyhow if the beast opened his fanged mouth again to speak with his forked tongue*

Yuri would wander along the halls for several minutes before finally coming to a large metal door. It was cold to the touch strangely, and it took Yuri a few momwnts of consideration before he would finally attempt to open the strange door. It would creak open slowly as he tugged at it, until it finally stood wide open, a wave of cold air washing over him stood there wide eyed. There on the ground lay the source of the scent of blood, a broken packet like the one he had consumed earlier. But more importantly, was what lay beyond that single packet of broken blood. For in this strange vault lay shelves upon shelves of those same packets, each one individually labelled and wrapped, preserved by the cold atmosphere for who knows how long. Even at a rate of a packet a day it would take Yuri years to go through all of this. Which was perfect. In order to gain control of the beast within him, Yuri was going to have to keep it distracted. This blood would sate the monster within him, and facilitate his training. Yuri would blink slowly before smiling softly, his first true smile. Yes, this was exactly what he needed. And now, it was time to get to work......

Erudemasa smiled slightly as he played with the end of his shifting scarf. His book had since been put on the same table the slide projector was sitting on.

"All right then, class, since I now have yuor permission to continue with my lecture, let's all take our seats and prepare for today's class." Erudemasa's 'teacher voice' was back in place as he instructed his associates and their guest to be seated once again. Clearing his throat, he hit the screen with his pointer to draw their attention once again to the slide in place.

"Now then, today, I'll be explaining why, even though the three of you massively powerful beings are in the past, you can't change it." Erudemasa had to suppress his laughter upon looking at the faces of his students. He clicked the end of his projector and the slide projector whirred and clicked to the next slide.

User Image

Eru looked at the screen before saying "Oh, wait, this is just the logo thing I put before all my shows. Okay. That's nothing you need to pay attention to. Next slide!"

User Image

Eru turned his back to the screen and began explaining. "This is a fairly scaled down replica of exactly how time travel works. The stream here [Erudemasa pointed at the wavy lines at the bottom] represents the world as you know it, with everything there. You are here, but you're also theoretically in there. The drawing of you here is simply to illustrate the fact that you are in the time stream. Don't worry. There aren't really killer Time Stream Sharks in the timestream. We hunted them to extinction 300 years ago. Or is it 300 years from now..." He paused for a moment to consider this problem before shrugging it off as unimportant. "Now, you'll notice the stick figure of you has an arrow pointing you into the timestream. That is where you belong and where you always are. The one marked as me, which means me, by the way, not you, has the arrow crossed off. This means that I am not part of the time stream in the same way you are. This will be important later once we see what the problem is with changing the stream. If you have any questions, I ask you to hold them until we have a break in the lecture to ask them." Erudemasa clicked again to advance the slides.

User Image

Erudemasa looked at the next slide before turning back. "Well, I seem to have put the next slide in upside down. Talk amongst yourselves while I fix it." Erudemasa almost skipped to the back, barely suppressing his laughter at this turn of events. He took a screwdriver out of his pocket and started working to free the upside down slide, which had also become stuck.

-_o Sharks? ....Does he actually expect us to believe this nonsense? I think all I really have to say right now is.....God I hate time travel.... *She let out a yawn, and her eyes narrowed as she waited for Erudemasa to finish*

*Impassively watching the slide show, Kyiana still showed no emotion. She understood what was being said so far. She had some inkling of knowledge on the subject, even the sharks that Erudemesa had mentioned, but only as a side effect from sharing some of the same memories as her creator. If you could call them memories.*

So. Would you please hurry up? I'd like to get this whole business finished.

"Stick to the genetics; your figurative language is a little rusty." Whether or not it was an appropriate response for Than to give to Tyr, it was unusual to see him this defensive in an aggressive manner. In the past, Thanatos had been so sensitive that Tyr's comment might have caused him to lash out in a burst of emotion. Now he seemed almost.... 'cynical' in his defensiveness. Perhaps it could be attributed to his recent, unannounced conditions.

Mastema wasn't so much 'impressed' with Mugiri's ability so much as he thought it could be useful and manipulated to his plans. It didn't change the fact that Mugiri's combat potential was the real reason he was here.

Before Thanatos could any more insult to Tyr, Sho would, more or less, protest. "STOP DOING THAT!" It wasn't so much shouted as emphasized..... emphasized at Than more or less. Thanatos's arrival had overshadowed the moment where Than's sudden shout at his arrival scared Sho to the ground just as Proto had, and it'd taken the man a moment to recover himself. "TT~TT Quit it with the sneaking up behind me deal! Proto already scared me out of my wits because he was silent as a ghost! I don't need my nephew picking up the habit," was all Sho really had to say to Than. Thanatos really only had one response as well. "Eheh.... G-gomen nasai, ojisan...." The apology was accompanied by a nervous smile.

Before any more could be said on the matter, a loud, thunderous sound broke through the air. Needless to say, the suddenness of this sound also got a yelp from Sho since he'd turned away from the direction where it came. It wouldn't be hard to find out the source of the sound: Proto and Zeno now had their swords deadlocked. Proto's plasma blade had met with the lightning arcing around Zeno's sword and the two weapons repulsed eachother with their charges. The lightning around Zeno's sword was also a form of plasma, so energy arced between both swords and produced a crackling sound while they were in contact; the initial clash had caused the large sound. The sound would be repeated several times as the two swiped with their swords blow for blow and parried eachother's attack. It was certainly a sight to see Proto's five foot sword move and nimbly as Zeno's slender and shorter one. It was a spectacular duel, regardless, and it was a break from the combo tactics the two had used at the start.

A grin spread along Mastema's lips as he watched the two fight, there was something in particular that greatly impressed him about this particular part of the fight. Thanatos had also turned to the fight; now used to the sound, he was slightly smiling at the fact Proto was holding his own against the cyborg general.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 08, 2006 12:15 am

*The children appeared to grimance at the sound at first, it would take them, like the others a few seconds to adjust and take note of what was going on. Nana's shoulders would rise and fall quickly as she too flinched at the sound. The spar was literally heating up, and was splendid to watch. Nana and the children would watch wide eyed, every move was to be taken in and noted. As long as the fight stayed sportsman like, then this very moment, this is how it should be. Two opponents squaring off, and not attempting to lob eachother's heads off... at least for now. The arcs between the swords was at times mesmorising and perhaps even hypnotic*

Xol feigned interest in the presentation as his real focus shifted to the pencil he rolled back and forth on the desk absentmindedly. This information would have held revelence over someone who wished to change the events of time. He did not, so this was purely a waste of time. There was only one goal in his mind currently, to get into the Citadel at present time. The others could draw stick figures, play with sharks and whatever else the mock professor was saying somewhere in front of him... he didn't really care.
