The fight had not started in Proto's favor, but it was far from finished. Zeno could only smirk inwardly as another idea to humiliate Proto brewed in his mind. "If I'm gonna take you out, I might as well do it with a decent technique, eh?" Zeno chuckled briefly, Proto now completely righted. Jumping on one foot, Zeno launched himself into the air at a slightly slanted angle, spinning in revolutions toward Proto in order to bring his sword down in a slash. "Greed Sever!" Zeno cried out the name of his attack before a light seemed to engulf his sword; an aurora like light followed his blade as it moved, and he soon came within range of Proto to bring the lightning charged blade down on the bot. Of course, Zeno expected Proto to counter by dodging, which Zeno would follow with another combo meant to land Proto off his feet.

Proto had already learned of this tactic, however. A normal combat droid probably would not have been fast enough to anticipate such a maneuver would be a diversion, but then again, Proto wasn't a normal combat droid. As Zeno shouted his attack name, Proto had already lifted his boosters into flight position and started to take off. When Zeno's blade was at the height of its slash, Proto made an unexpect maneuver: instead of dodging or even slashing at Zeno, Proto headbutted the other bot right in the side of his torso. "What!?" Zeno screamed just a instant before Proto crashed into him and sent Zeno flying back to the ground. Zeno caught himself in mid fall and landed on his feet, with Proto still flying above him.

Before Zeno could counter, Proto had already made his own follow up by more or less shoving and throwing his shield down at Zeno, the front of the shield set to hit Zeno. The attack seemed rather futile to anyone who was looking, especially Zeno; the bot had more than enough physical strength to knock the shield away.

Playing right into Proto's plan, Zeno swiped his free hand at the shield at pushed it away, only to find that Proto had used it to cover a speedy approach in free fall. With Proto just a moment from slashing him, Zeno had no time to dodge completely with Proto's blade coming at him, chest high and horizontal to the ground. Zeno's best counter was to slash back at the blade coming at him. Because the sword had be pointed down for Zeno to knock the shield away, Zeno was bringing the sword through an uppercut slash to knock Proto's sword away.

However, as Zeno started his slash, Proto pulled his arm back while his both moved forward. A small, auxilary booster on Proto's back-side fired, sending Proto into a fast spin, as Proto's right hand reached around his back, tossed the sword to his now free left hand, and Proto flew past Zeno's shoulder. Zeno's uppercut would strike nothing but air and leave him with no time to react as Proto used the force of his booster initiate spin to bring his blade in a hard slash on Zeno's back. "Guaaah!" Zeno screamed out when he was forcibly sent forward; sparks flew from his back as the blade cut through his red uniform and slid across his metal back. All the black hair past Zeno's shoulder blades was also cut by the slash. Proto landed unscathed; once again, the balance of the battle had shifted.

*Zenogais had gotten a good first punch in, and now Proto was coming back. There was nothing to worry about yet, though there certainly had been a few sparks, not to mention Zenogais inadvertantly got a new hair cut. After Trilla and Eecheb had, had their small spat both looked on and watched from their relative places, Eecheb had even taken to sitting down with his tail tapping lightly behind him. Perhaps if Mugiri found no interest in the battle, he might pay attention to everyone else there. Of all the beings currently there, at least six had wings which were currently visible, Mugiri was one of these himself, and of those himself and Eecheb at least shared the most common features. There was a lot for the warrior to think about, the voice from outside, Mastema, this sparring between occupants, the occupants themselves both child, adult, and adolecant. In the mean time, said occupants would look on*

Indeed Mugiri's mind had wandered to his surroundings. He looked over his shoulder to his master first, and then to Nana, but he quickly averted his eye to the female child, and then the child with similar features to him. His eye lost focus, and memories flooded into his mind. To an outsider it would look as if Mugiri was looking straight at Eecheb. Mugiri snapped out of it, and looked downwards at nothing.

*Eecheb would pay no notice to the stare from Mugiri as he was paying closer attention to both Zenogais and Proto for the moment. The sparks were somewhat entertaining, even if the boy didn't know why either of them made sparks. Metal scrapping along metal, metal scrapping along cement, ashphalt, and other surfaces was... well, new to them, the children that was. Possibly the only other time they had seen sparks would have been from the other droids, working away at various locations in the citadel recently to make repairs and build the small pillars outside. Speaking of which, that was a place they still weren't allowed to go. Then again, the first time did have its ups and downs, not to mention people who wanted to hurt them, just because they were there. Trilla was still at Nana's left side, clinging her her robe with Nana's hand lightly placed upon her head, Eecheb was about a two and a half feet away from Mastema's right side, two feet back and sitting on a stair. Micha was four feet to the left of Eecheb, and about two feet up, simply staring as always*

Yuri meanwhile had stumbled upon a large white building with a red cross on it. It was the only marked building around, opr so he thought, and so it had piqued his curiousity. But now, as he stepped into the dark and unused lounge, he could feel something. The air reaked of.... "...blood......" he said softly, feeling his hunger stir slightly as he sat there. Sniffing the air softly he began to wander down the dank corridor, noting that every now and again some piece of strange equipment would still be functioning. He wondered how long the place had been out of service and how much longer it would take for the place to become inoperable....

Mugiri turned, and bowed, touching his head to the ground, and looked down as he spoke. "Madame Nana, I wonder now, how long have you been here with my master?"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 31, 2006 11:43 pm

*Upon hearing her name, Nana turned to Mugiri whom was now healed up or so it appeared. Mugiri must have overheard her name from one of the others. Pausing for a moment to listen to the man's question, Nana would formulate her answer then present it back in the form of a question. That is after getting past the talk of Mastema being his master. Mugiri's way of speaking was sort of like a samurai from what Nana could make of it, still it was a little strange hearing someone call her husband their master. The children would continue to watch the sparring*

"I was just wondering. I know so little about my master, I did not think it wise tonot know anything about his woman." He bowed quickly. "Excuse my words if they offend."
PostPosted: Thu Aug 31, 2006 11:58 pm

*Nana couldn't help but pause again, "his woman" ? ....WHAT?! That wasn't exactly what Nana was exspecting to hear. Those words were so unexspected they caused Nana to blush somewhat while looking away. If he looked, Mastema could probably catch a glance of the blush, even though Nana wasn't looking at him; Mugiri if he looked back up at Nana would probably catch it too. Nana wasn't sure what to say now, she seemed slightly flabbergasted*

"I apologize, I did not know whether you were his wife, or his mistress. I am sorry for my mistake." He tapped his head to the floor again, himself feeling at a loss for words. Hopefully he wouldn't be punished for this.

*First, "his woman", now "his mistress" ?! It seemed a curse... no one ever took notice of either wedding bands on Mastema or Nana's left hands. How was this possible? Nana was more surprised than anything, now completely dumbfounded, only one thing came to mind to say. It caught the attention of the children, who would look to their mother in question. Hopefully someone would tell Mugiri that they were married, for the moment, Nana didn't seem to have it in her*

gonk What!?

Mastema

PostPosted: Fri Sep 01, 2006 7:16 pm

Mastema lips would curl into a grin and sound an amused chuckle. The situation was quite funny. Mugiri had hardly spoken three comments and Nana was already flustered beyond belief. Mastema's hand gently squeezed Nana's shoulder as his arm wrapped around her back. "Try not to mind it too much, dear;I am sure Mugiri meant no insult," Mastema said rather delightfully, "though, I think he simply needs to develop his 'people' skills a little more." Mugiri had shown himself to be a little bit inept at talking and interacting with other people, usually making strange and unrelated comments.

The wall beside Sho would suddenly be overtaken with a black substance, but Sho was not aware, being absorbed in watching the battle. After a moment Than poked his head out of the shadow and looked around, making sure that he'd actually ended up in the right place this time. "Hmm..."

Zeno had recovered from the attack, and his loss of hair, and stood facing Proto once again. Proto's shield lay off to the side, leaving Proto with only his sword. "You're going down for cutting my hair....... and at least I don't have to be nice anymore." In following his statement, Fuuraiken began to pulse with red lightning along its blade. As violent as it was, it still seemed in Zeno's control. Zeno charged straight at Proto this time and sent slash after heavy slash of attacks at him. Proto's form was too bulky and his thrusters not fast enough to dodge all of the hits, so he used his sword in place of his shield, and managed to successfully block many of the attack. However, the air around Zeno's blade was so hot because of the lightning it was virtually plasma. After taking repeated hits, Proto's sword was suddenly cut right in half with the top of the blade falling away. His sword now broken, Proto was forced to back off, though not before taking a hit that left a deep gash in his right shoulder. Zeno let out a triumphant 'hah' as Proto landed a good ten feet from him, armed with nothing but a hilt attached to a broken/melted blade.

*Mastema amused, Nana flustered, my it seemed a step back in time almost. It had been a good long while since Nana had blushed like this, there was no better proof that she was feeling better. Paying attention to Mugiri and Mastema, Thanatos' entrance and the spar would for the moment go unnoticed. It appeared Nana was still too flustered to speak, so another blast from the past, a bit of stuttering*

.///.,
Ah-- ahh-ahh....

*Eecheb would take notice of Thanatos, in fact once he caught sight of him, the boy perked up a little. But.... was was his head the only thing that was visible, and why had the wall grown suddenly dark? On the opposite side, Trilla was now paying closer attention to the fight rather than anything else. This red light... it seemed familiar somehow, but Trilla just couldn't place it. Zeph had done something similar once, with an arch of electricity between two fingers, but this was an entirely different scale. Micha would stare at the majority of events taking place*

Mugiri rose slightly. "Yes, I used English mainly in business, so I do not use their phrases correctly all of the time. I am sorry Mastema to make your Nana upset." He paused, and then grinned. HE had found a term to refer to her as without embarassing her.
