"Some days I don't know why I got into this business..."
She said as she got ready for her day. She placed a bullet into the chamber. She pulled out her favorite clip and started to load it with small nine mm shells. She simply sighed a again as she looked in the mirror applying the lipstick to her lips. She gave a sad smile as she grabbed her favorite pair of sunglasses. She placed them over her eyes and she started to smile again.
"Never look at them in the eyes..That way you never have to absorb their souls. Never look at them in the eyes.. or you will feel everything that they felt. They will make you live for them.."
Thats what her teacher always taught her. It was a long bloody road to do what she had done. She had been doing this for years. Long years and even though she wore the sunglasses... It never stopped her from feeling each one of the souls. She could feel every bullet going into each person. She could see every bullet going into their skulls. She could feel every family mourn. she couldn't stop the feeling.. until she took the glasses off. Then she couldn't feel it at all.
That's when the tears poured down her cheeks. That's when the pain started... all when she could see her own eyes. But she had a job to do.. a job that nobody else would want to do.. but she had too..it was her only escape.. It was the only way she found joy anymore.. She put back on the glasses and wiped the tears away. She looked at herself in the mirror.
"It's time to get to work..time to have just a bit of happyness.."
She pointed the gun at herself in the mirror.. and her smile started to grow.
