Whirlwind watched sedatly from the side, a chin in her hand, an elbow on the rail. Watching Tarathiel fight was like watching an intricate dance. It was mesmerizing, and she'd have watched it all day if said fight had not come to an abrupt, if not expected end.

As for lighting the ship ablaze, she would have appluaded had it been the time or the place for it. It was just...delicious wasn't it? Oh yes...

Flames dacned in her vision, and she imagined the castle buring like so much wood, crumbling to dust. A dream that kept her going, she supposed. She grew more excited, as she wondered what part she still had to play in all of this.

She giggled, plopped herself down and started first to sort out what beads she thought she wanted and cutting lengths of sinew string. She double up the string, just to mkae this a little stronger. How many times had she watched Daddy do these? She must know how by now, just from watching so much!

"Different, to say the least, and yet the same. Just as Bode is not like us, yet someone the same as us. He was awefully complacent as soon as he thought he trusted his. Father...ugh...Cymarron would have stayed leery for a longer time." She shrugged. "Perhaps he is using his daughter to help cover the pain of the lose of his wife, and therefore was more willing to accept that she was not in harm's way."
PostPosted: Tue Sep 27, 2005 3:23 pm

"This version is also human. he doesn't have Cymarron's senses. Cymarron could have smelled fear or worry on us, and would have made him more leary."

Onyx started on his way to the fortress.

"I am still concerned for whirlwind and ironsides. I want them back. I sent out a little wisp of demonic energy to fidn her and check her. I'm hoping it reaches her. ti should give her the message to find a way to contact me to see if she's alright. and the lizard."

Onyx growled.

"And I hope that Captian's ship gets sunk. and him with it."

Malik chuckled lightly, shaking his head.

"Yes. you saved...fourteen lives, released three slaves, and stopped about a hundred beatings and collar jerkings."

the arm she was holding snaked roudn her waist lightly.

"My concience indeed. Though somewhat annoying at times and always in need of rescue."

One done, now to the other, handing the first emblem to his daughter.

"That one is for the black one..Onyx you said he was? put it on nice and tight and be careful with it, alright sweetheart?"

Smiling softly at his daughter, his most precious little girl. and now she was the only family he had left. He sincerely hoped all this talk about alternate planes and other selves was true, for everyone's sake.

The Captain sat on the bow of his ship, and silently ordered a few of his drow soldiers about or asked them questions using the silient hand code of their common heratiage. Soon their after, the crew's mood brightened, Tarathiel called for Warhammer, Aven and Aella.

Poor little Jin had to find the three, the first two were not hard to find, as they rarely went below deck if ever. There size was impossible to hide amongst the riging and sails.

Aella, though, he seemed to note that she was not so fond of him. That would not do, the gnome understood, as the life of every crew member, slave or not, relied on teh cooperation beteen everyone. He sought her out, and found her dazed in her own thoughts, the fires in her eyes very apparent.

"Understand Missy," Jin started, "That the captain holds you in high reguard. Whisper to him what you will, for he might just listen. But betray the crew on the ship, and your life will be forfiet. We cannot risk having our backs stabed as we raid another ship or weather a storm. If the drow can hold their blades back, I hope you can too." His eyes followed her body, her ugly tall form made him feel sick to his gut, but he did well to hide his emotions.

"The captain so kindly requests you appearance at the bow of the ship."
PostPosted: Tue Sep 27, 2005 3:54 pm

She almost crouched down to Jin's level. Then she rembered she didn't like the gnome. So she didn't. She kept her eys on the fire for a moment longer, enjoying the red glow. "Betray? What for?" Though she was a little surprised to here the "thinks highly of you remark", it could easily be a lie meant to guilt her into behaving. "I am not the one to speak of betrayel."

She Knew he was looking. SHe knew he didn't like what he saw. To bad. "Request granted." She meandered her way over to the bow where the others were waiting. "Are you getting itchy feet, Tarathiel?" She knew she was.

"Okay!" A little clumsily, she attactched the stone. "Like this, right Daddy?" She smiled and held up the first necklace like her own pride and joy hung by her fathers respons. "Do you think he'll like it? Gaurdian Onyx does a lot for me! I want him to like real bad!"

"I have the need to slay a warrior of equal or greater skill than myself... I am tempted to challenge Malik or Onyx to a one versus one fight, just so I can get my brian pumping, but those stupid little wisps keep annoying me... Trying to find my ship without my permission?" The captain laughed. "When I am done with my ploys, maybe I'll let them find me, just to see what happens..." Turning his attention back to the people in front of him, Tarathiel smiled.

"Your role, should you choose to accept it, is to join with the resistance groups that I have instigated. Warhammer will join with the Dwarves, Aven shall join with Tames and the kobold kingdoms, and Aella... I need you to join Jiscal and Dagger in the city." Smiling, Tarathiel looked at them. "The gods do not wish for too much damage on the infrastructure of the city, and I am complying with their wish. As the gods have seemed to have kept me alive this long..."

Warhammer laughed heartly, "Indeep, the Earth Mother loves you very much, Captain."

"As always, you shall be informed of what you are going to do, when you are going to do it, in case of capture and torture... Remember, tell them everything you know, not too quickly. Do needlessly suffer. Remember, My favorite colour is purple, and I eat fish for dinner." He smiled, knowing that it was highly unlikely that they would be captured, and if so, alive.

Aven stopped on of his four feet on the deck and smiled, "Am I the only calvery again?" He chuckled, his deep voice bouncing about the deck.

"No, the kobolds have some... something you find amusing."

Aven turned and walked towards the cabin, where the wizards waited. Warhammer looked at Aella, and tried to smile, or at least, what looked like a smile to his people. "Keep safe, Special one." He also walked back towards the cabin.

"Do you have a problem with your assignment, Aella Whirlwind?" The captain asked calmly.

For a moment her attention was caught. Trying to find tehs hip? Who was? Malik? That was no surprise she supposed. But then again, she didn't think at smoething Malik did would "annoy" Taratheil. And she was quite certian tht no one would bother looking for her.

She listened to the orders with a half smirk on her face. She didn't know this Dagger, though she knew of Jiscal. Didn't like him if she recalled correctly. Still..."I accept, certainly.

"Problem? Just one. This means I'm going to have to change my clothes, doesn't it?" She didn't want to change, not at all, the silks; as revealing as they were, were easy to move in, would not wiegh her down in the water or slow her down on the land. Perfect really...but she couldn't risk being recognized as a former slave.

Onyx sat at the window in the room for him an Onyx, getting rather annoyed the little wisps weren't finding anything. maybe he coudl draw her away form teh ship. that might work. so gathering his little wisps, he did his best and got a rather grolwing sounding 'whirlwind' voice to acompany them in thier flight. well some of them. others only managed to latch ironsdies to them. he'd tried to get both names on each little wisp. and damn it was hard to do that. he should have paid more attention to Saka teaching them how to harness the auras aroudn him and his brother.

"Damn it woman. where are you. and where's my lizard."

Simon looked over, giving his daughter another warm smile, taking the necklace and shaking it a bit. yes, everything was alright, it wasn't going to break or anything.

"You did a wonderful job. I'm sure he'll be most appreiciative of it. I hope our ancestors and the earth spirits are enought ot help your noble protectors."

And back to working on the other emblem for Moonstone.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 27, 2005 5:07 pm

"Change, yes it shall. I know why he searches for us, Onyx wants you. I can't have him running about the city following our every move, so I will require you to wear a magical cloak, like mine." Tarathiel smiled, "I know that you are not dressed as a common folk of the land, so we will need to give some other attire as well... Would you like a magical ring or two, or perhaps a few magical trinkets to make life easier? A rope that ties itself, or shoes that will enable you to walk up the sides of buidings? A handcrossbow perhaps?" Tarathiel smiled, "I see that you like your freedom of movement, I know I have at least one ring that grants that. No matter what substance you are in, you can move as easily as if you are naked."

"I can't just go naked?" It was a half attempt at humor, the other half was serious. Onyx was looking for her? Certianly not. Why would he? Why would he want her for that matter?

"All right, a cloak I can live with. And the ring, I would very much like that, but I don't need anytihng else. Magic can be traced, and if I need to climp to the top of a building, I'll get there some other way. As for other clothes," See waved a hand, "Whatever you have in your wardrobe will be fine. I'm not picky."

Aella spun a moment, quite certian that she had heard her name...but no one was there and no one seemed to have spoken.

Moonstone followed his brother up to their room, tlaking, though he doubted that Onyx even heard him. "I would like to ease your fears by telling you the woman is fine, but there is the chacne that I would be lying. And we both know that I don't like lyin. As for the lizard...they are amphibious to a point Simon said. If the captain didn't take him, maybe he's still alive some.."

No, he brothe definatly wasn't listening. "Onyx? Why are you so moddy aobut all this? You didn't know her for very long," a very calouse remark for Moon, but considering Onyx's personality, it was resonable.

"I'm gonna give it to him myeslf! That way he can always remeber me!" She giggled and started making the other necklace. This was fun! She wondered if she could make more jewlery later. Maybe Piper would tade a braclet for one of her arrows!

"I like making them, Daddy! But what will the stones do?"
PostPosted: Tue Sep 27, 2005 5:29 pm

Tarathiel smiled, and then looked inquisitive. "You know not of your old travelling companion's powers?" He chuckled softly, "Magic tracable? By whom? To where? WHat I give you could come from as far away as... Ghodreh." He made up the name, not really wanting to say any place in particular. Much as a sailor might when discussing the far reaches of the earth.

"Fine then, I shall give you a fine mesh armour, so well fitted that you could forget that it is not your skin." He smiled, "and a tunic and some breeches, common to this land, yet stylish to make you match with your hierachical cohorts..." Tarathiel walked towards the cabin, "Come come, we have much work to do, and if Onyx insists in distracting you, we'll have to ask him to stop in like terms." The drow turned towards Aella.

"Have you ever meet the Oracle?"

She srugged. "My experience with magic is limited. I assumed it could be traced, as one's finger prints can be traced." SHe frowned. "Ghordreh?" Didn't sound like any place to her...but she wasn't about to argue, she got the pint well anough.

She sighed. Armor...she didn't muhc care for the stuff...but she'd already agreed. "If you think I'lll need the mesh.." She didn't think she would, but who was she to argue? "Onyx?" She turned around agian...but of coruse he wasn't there. "Distracting me? How?"

"I've heard of her." She smield evily. "I like her." She chuckled. "She wouldn't give Dimirti the answers he wanted. As I hear tell, she insisted that he was only allowed one question. And when he asked, "Must you live so far out form the city?," well she took it quite literally."
PostPosted: Tue Sep 27, 2005 5:48 pm

Onyx growled lightly at his brother.

"I promised her nothing would happen to her. I'd get her away from her slavery, she could do what she wanted. and maybe I was a little bit attracted to her. Happy now?"

His gaze back out the window.

"She was mine. all mine. she was rugged and fiery. not giving a care to looks and more than willing to tussel if need be..you coudl tell that just from her name, Whirlwind. a storm. Would be nice to have someone likeminded to me around."

Okay, a potshot at his brother.

Simon chuckled at his daughter's enthusiasm.

"Onyx, as you've talked about..is a good fighter. likes to be in the middle of things. his stone will grant him the spirits of snake and monkey..to increase his agility and speed. The other..he is more..reserved. I sense strength, more so than his dark twin. His is spirits of snake and hawk. it will make him faster, and give him greater sight. I feel he is one who would be best suited for range. the kind to fly with bow or spear and rain down on his enemies, as his brother prefers to get face to face with his enemies."

"That is interesting... I went to ask her to feed misinformation to D'Mitri, but instead started flirting and asked some... more personal questions. I trust her, but I don't know why." Tarathiel smiled softly, his face a beautiful int hat expersion as Aella could ever imagine it being.

"Come, armour this way... We wear the armour because I suspect that Dagger or Jiscal will try to make a move... Dagger moreso than Jiscal... LJ isn't very ambitious without a little nudge." He paused, and looked back at her. "I think I will give you blue clothes." He turned back and continued to the cabin, once inside, he mouthed a word with on sylabol, and a portal opened to the left side of the room. He walked into it, and beconed Aella to follow.

Once inside the room, one adorned with all things magical, Tarathiel walked to the far side where he retrived a coat of the finest mesh armour Aella could ever imagine posible to craft. "I'd tell you were I got it, but then I would have to kill you." He said calmly. He then laughed, "Elves do make the best of everyting, except dwarven plate. dwarves certainly know how to mend their armour." He crossed the room agian, and opened a chest, and pulled out some royal blue clothes, of varying styles and cutes. "You will be amongst the nobility, so noble you shall be..."

Once more he crossed the room, and opened a smaller chest on his desk, and sougt out a few trinkets. He brought back a ring that appeared to be a water serpent eating its own tail, with diamond eyes, a tiara that held a nicely cut sapphire, and a neclice that was silver with slight chains that drooped downwards. "The ring will enable your to move freely, the tiara can shoot an intese light beam, although once per day. The neclaice will offer you resistance to disease and poison. Fear not what you eat or drink." The drow elf said calmly.

"When you have chosen the atire that best fits your needs, not you wants, go back to the cabin, and call for Orko. He shall teleport you to our base within the inner most walls of the city. There, you shall wait for the signal along with Jiscal and Dagger to make your move. The signal is the the assult on the front two gates. Shield and the dwarves have the second gate covered, and Tames will assult the front door. I might join you then, to test the valour of the kings most loyal protectors... well, those who I haven't killed yet." Tarathiel turned and started for the door, "If you see something on the walls you like, you may take it."

The magical items avaliable ranged from spoons to capes, from swords to daggers, from random bags to decks of cards, from dice to staves, wands and rods. Everything was not what it seemed...

Kieran raised an eyebrow, turning his eyes down to Piper. "Really now...and how did you manage those feats my dear?"

Piper only gave a laugh, leaning into Malik despite that blasted armor of his that she was quickly learning to hate. "Oh...threatening to cry, or hitting him, or yelling at him...or denying him things. Whichever he was more responsive to that day." A little cute evil smirk up to Malik. Oh she had her ways indeed. "And come on now, you know you like rescuing me."

He laughed. "I'd imagine this little damsel gets into quite the ditress...though I'm sure she won't admit to over half of it all." Though he had to be proud of her, for he knew how she acted and even if she was in trouble, she wouldn't admit fear to it. Fear was something he had seen his daughter conquer early in life.

"Flirting?" She frowned. "The Oracle the king visited was too old...flirting with this woman was like rape. I am not sure we are tlaking about the same Oracle..." How old was this story about Dimitri anyway? It was a common one amoung the slave girls. "Perhaps that is the daughter of the one I heard of." She saw the smile, and thought it very uncommon for a drow. How charming.

Dagger...she'd remeber that. "Make a move as in try to kill me, or make a move as in try to get me in bed?" Lesbionism was not unheard of in Labyrinth, nor was it frowned apon. She followed hm through, though not witohut a bit of wonder at the whole place...

Whirlwind was such a slow mover, when there was no need for speed, adn to her it was like Tarathiel was bouncing off the walls, grabbig this and that form which ever chest or trunk. She thought the jewlery was a bit much, but again she didn't argue. A tiara? What was she, a princess? She re-thought that thought. Okay okay, she was, but she was never actually treated like one.

So used was she to changing with all of the girls in the harem, who were not allowed to dress and undress in their own sleeping closets, lest they somehow slip a weapon onto their person, that she almost started stripping off her clothes while Taratheil was still in the room. Not that it would really matter, but it was a thing of courtesey.

She listened to her instructions with that crooked smile, looking forward to the fight. "I understand, Captian. Hope I don't beat you to the kill. Or maybe I do, I haven't decided yet." She watched him leave. The took off her silks, folded them and placed them to the side. She promissed she'd coime back and get them later. She threw on a shirtsleeve, then the mesh over top. Over that went randomly picked articles from what Tarathiel had left her. A royal blue tunic with a square cut neck and light blue trim, which was tucked into long, dark blue breeches. She slipped on some black leather shooes, and a long pair of black gloves. Tiara on her head, just below her topnot, ring on her midle finger of her right hand, and necklace around her neck. She looked around....and picked up what looked like a pair od stones carved in the shape of acorns. She didn't know what they were, but she was drwan to them.

She left, and went to find Orko, who did his job and sent her to Deep Water.

Sometimes, he was as oblivious as his father. "Attracted to her?" Strange how he didn't his brother quite so...enamoured with a single woman.

Moonstone off set his jaw. "All yours? You knew her for two hours, if that. I understand wanting to keep your word, but you speak of her as if she were still a slave. She's not yours until she says she's yours, Onyx."

She giggled and waved her arms. Onyx is a monkey!" Great, now she could tease him! What fun! "Moonstone didn't even enter amyn competitons at the tournament. He said he didn't see the point!" She carefully stung more beads together, after having laid Onyx's carefully cloes by.
