Kai smiled and took the flowers, sniffing them and smiling again at Hakaru. "Thank you, Hakaru ʻo kāne," she responded.
Damian opened one eye and looked up at Mina, with a smile, he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her down to rest on his chest, before closing his eye again. "Time to sleep."

Hakaru smiled and took her hand, slowly leading her down the beach, knowing the pace would get them to his little retreat just in time for e beautiful sunset. He smiled some, walking her in the shallows, his feet blocking hers from getting hit by the most of the water.
Mina gasped a little as he pulled her onto his chest and went back to sleep. She playfully pouted. "But don't you want to see my new piece?" she asked, watching her boyfriend.

Damian opened his eyes and sighed, sitting up with Mina in his lap. "You make it so hard to be lazy," he complained, but jokingly. He let go of the little sparrow, waiting for her to get up so he could follow her and see the new painting.
Kai interlaced her fingers with Hakaruʻs, following him. Her toes squished into the sand, and she felt comforted by the familiar feeling. She felt some of the water brush her feet, but in the past few years sheʻd learned how to control her transformations, so she no longer had to fear turning into a mermaid every time she hit the water. She looked up at the sunset, and rested her head on Hakaruʻs shoulder as she watched it.
Under the waves, the merman was swirling the clam around in front of him, until he looked up and noticed the two sets of feet up in the shallow water. He swam up towards the surface, still out of sight, and let the clam float up. A small wave gently propelled the clam to the shallow area, and it soon washed up on the shore, brushing against Kaiʻs foot. She looked down at the feeling of something touching her, and tilted her head, before crouching down and picking up the clam.

Hakaru relaxed with Kai before she stopped and picked up the clam. He recognized it, but was easy on hiding it. "What's that Kai?" he asked, easily pulling off curiosity.
Mina smiled and stood, taking the prince's hand. She led him back inside and let him see the picture she had painted of him and the songbird perched on his forehead.

Damian followed along behind Mina, growing more and more curious by the second. When they reached the picture, he tilted his head, recognizing himself, not a surprise, and... The bench heʻd been sleeping on? With a... "Please tell me you added that bird in," he said, shaking his head. A bird perched on his head? Urgh...
Kai shrugged in response to Hakaruʻs questioned and looked up at him. It seemed they were both rather curious. "I donʻt know, but I guess we should open it and find out." So she carefully ran her thumb between the tops of the lids of the clam, prying it open enough for her to be able to open the clam fully. Her eyes widened at the ring inside, where sheʻd expected maybe a misshapen sea pearl. [OOC:] Whatʻs Minaʻs eye color?

Hakaru smiled, looking away innocently as she found the ring. She seemed sufficiently surprised. It made him happy.
Mina laughed nervously. "Sorry, Damian. I didn't" she said, rubbing the back of her head softly.

Kai looked over at Hakaru, her heart starting to pick up speed. If this was what she thought it was... She looked back at the ring, then Hakaru. She was at this point paralyzed and unable to speak.
Damian rubbed his forehead where the bird mustʻve been and shook his head. "Well, my daily embarrassment quota has been filled," he sighed. "But this is really good," he said, kissing the top of Minaʻs head.

Hakaru, having picked up a habit of his brother's, being instantaneous actions, was on one knee in front of her, holding one of her hands. "Will you?" he asked, knowing she could connect the dots on her own.
Mina laughed some and kissed his cheek. "I thought it was cute." she replied, nestling into his arms.
[OOC:] I think I forgot to answer, but her eyes are blue.

Kai found she was currently speech impaired, even as Hakaru was suddenly in front of her. She kept screaming at her mouth and throat to say yes, and after a few seconds of not getting what she wanted, she knelt down as well and flung her arms around Hakaru's neck squeezing him, but trying not to kill him.
Damian pouted playfully and rested his chin on her shoulder, looking up at her. "But how can I be amazingly tough and awesome if I'm cute?" [OOC:] Thank you!

Hakaru watched as Kai went to her knees and hugged him tightly. He smiled some and hugged her back. "I take it that's a yes?"
Mina giggled and stroked his hair. "Lucky for you I don't plan to sell this one. I'm keeping this little moment all to myself."

Kai nodded against Hakaru's neck, tears in her eyes and a smile on her face. She really just couldn't believe it. Not at all. She pulled back and kissed him happily, then pulled away, smiling at him. She found her voice again, and murmured, "Yes."
Damian laughed and tilted his head. "Whatever you want to do," he told her, before suddenly sweeping her up into his arms with a goofy smile.

Mina gasped some as Damian scooped her up into his arms. She still wasn't used to that even though he'd been doing it for some time now.
Hakaru returned the kiss before she confirmed her choice. He gently wiped away her tears and got her back to her feet, leading her to his little oasis he had prepared. "Will you join me for dinner then?"

Damian raised his eyebrow at Mina, kissing her nose and adjusting his grip on her a little. "What do you want to do tonight?" he asked her.
Kai smiled and walked with Hakaru. "Of course. I'm guessing it's all amazingly delicious?" she said teasingly. She knew that if Hakaru had made it, then it was bound to be tasty.

Mina blushed some as he kissed her nose. "I-I don't know."
Hakaru nodded and smiled. He treated Kai to a wonderful meal, complete with her favorite dessert. Once it was over, he smiled, getting up and offering her his hand to help her up. "I got us a cabin to stay in for a while. The won't expect us back for a day or three." he said with a smile.

Damian Tilted his head and walked towards the window. He sat on the sill, shifting Mina so that she could sit in his lap, and he rested his chin on her shoulder, nuzzling her neck as he held her waist. "Well I guess we'll have to sit here until we decide."
Kai still had the pleasant taste of Hakaru's cooking in her mouth as she took his hand. "Now why would they think a thing like that?" she said, her voice a mixture of light sarcasm and fake innocence. She smiled at Hakaru and tilted her head, wondering what his plan was.
