craftymama I am SO PISSED!!! The anime "network" no longer has a 24/7 television channel. They offer a limited number of anime titles on demand but thats it. Bastards. It is the same way here.

craftymama So we are sitting here watching the rebroadcast of the opening ceremony of the Bejing Olympics. Has anyone else watched any of it? I was just watching it for a bit with the Gpa and friend.. and making fun of it.. I hate the Olympics with a passion lol.

I love watching the Opening Ceremonies as well as Closing Ceremonies... except for this year. I got home from work and I only watched the part where a retired gymnast 'flew' and ran through the air across the stadium's wall to light up the giant torch. sad Well, at least I bought those Fuwas. Of those 5, I liked the blue fuwa (BeiBei) and the panda fuwa (Jingjing). As for events, I liked watching the gymnastics (if they show them), swimming, diving, water polo and synchronize swimming (pair and team). This year, I won't be watching any of those games because I work night shift. sad Oh well, at least I enjoyed the Rejected Olympics. smile

Same here. Even in Toronto, there are very few stations which aired anime of any genre (anime only airs in a 2-hour timeframe). Well, at least there are a wide selection anime dvds. I just need to find a decent comic book shop that carries them (box sets which contain either figurines or artbook). 3nodding

The olympics have gotten exponentially worse for the last 24 years, I just gave up on it. The last few olympics have even made me feel ashamed of my country at times. So yeah, I am paying them no mind. As for the lower picture of Joe's... Well, I have cosplayed far more gay things and would have sexual relations with men... and yet even I find that a little too fruity. rofl

I watched the opening ceremonies and I thought the Chinese did a fantastic job. Incredible synchronicity and none of the questionable taste I've seen with some. (anyone remember the US one where they had the pickup trucks driving around the stadium? yeeesh!!)
Lamb - I'm sorry Gaia isn't fun for you any more sad If you go you will certainly be missed. But I do understand if you have other priorities that take you elsewhere for now. Who knows though... you may want to return someday soon wink

But yes, you will be sorely missed around here. I have to admit, I am not finding as much fun around here as I use to – I have been more into facebook lately but even that is getting old. I think it is that I simply long for real world interaction.
I do not know what I would do with all my junk if I left gaia, it would take a bajillion trades to donate it all to the guild. Plus my little sister and love interest are here. But Onee-chan is losing interest too – so if I was to wrestle ma peche into an off-gaia interaction routine, I imagine there would be nothing holding me back and I could just leave a friends only contact post in my journal so anyone of you could reach me at any given time.

I find pageantry boring. I AM looking forward to some of the sports, including the basketball game on Sunday.
