She put her arm around the girl, hugging her lightly. "Just remember your manners...and don't go running all over the place. Honorsfield isn't home. Besides...I'm not too sure the reception is going to be the greatest." Though of course that was all she was going to say on the matter, before raising an eyebrow at her son. "Weren't you wearing a blue tunic this morning?"
He nodded. "Mhm, and now I'm waring red." Not that it occured to him to mention why he was now wearing different colors, but he didn't think it important anyway. "We have to ride horses there, right? Can I ride by myself?"
He smiled as he watched his son diligently go about doing things, going so far as to fetch Sevilin a plate for himself before he went about counting out equal portions between them. Chuckling lightly as he took the half eaten one from his son. "Six and a half is good." Sure, he hated chicken nuggets, but if his son wanted to him to share a meal then share a meal he was going to do.
Though he looked back to his son again. "Don't want to talk about it?" Seeing as the child hadn't even blinked at the question of magic. Though Sevilin wasn't going to pressure the issue if he didn't want to talk about it.

"I will Piper, Daddy Kieran taught me well. Promise." Then, she mock pouted at Malikhai. "Don't you want to ride with me? We can play games and point out the things as we go by. It'll be fun."
He studied his own chicken nuggets for a moment, picking one up and tapping it against the plate. "Well, I wanted to get the food all ready first, Daddy. Plus I needed a bit of time to think about my words. Sometimes I can't find them too well and I wanted to make sure I knew where they were."
He took another bite of a nugget and then started chewing and speaking at the same time. "I liked the conjurer. He didn't tell me stuff I didn't like and he can make things out of nothing. I want to be able to do that. 'Sides, the other stuff I can do with runes when I get big like you." Swallowing teh rest of that nugget and moving onto the next one. "Understand?"

She ruffled her sister's hair. "Good. We'll be leaving later today, or perhaps tomorrow, I have to send a letter back to Meilikki. Before giving a light laugh as Lharika tried to mildly guild the little elf. "We'll see Malikhai...you're still a bit little to ride the horses by yourself."
"I could ride the older foals." Oh look, he thought he had a solution, wasn't that cute? But his atttention turned to Lharika and he wrinkled his nose at her. "Who says you get to ride by yourself? Daddy says that you shouldn't bring more than you need." Well he just thought himself so smart didn't he? " 'Sides, you can always ride with mommy." There was that independant streak.
"Your words are just fine Zykariel, and don't you let anyone else ever tell you they're not just as good." After all, the boy was referring to his quirk of messing up words from time to time and Sevilin was not going to have that develop into an inferiority complex.
But he listened as the boy explained himself. "Yes, I understand. It's a good thing to be able to do that sort of thing. Very useful, you'll never find yourself in a tight spot. I think that was a very very wise decision on your part." Reaching over and ruffling his hair. "When we get your magic under control, we can start teaching you runes and what not if you want."

"Sounds like fun." She shook her head at Malikhai, "But I like riding with you Malikhai. It's so much more fun. Besides, Piper likes riding by herself and so does Malik. You and I are too little to ride by ourselves (she wasn't but wasn't going to tell Malikhai that) so it makes sense that we ride together. Right?"
"I know they're good but they're not always great. It's okay Daddy, I'm okay with it. A little more practice and I'll be just as good at it as Malikhai. Besides, I'm better at magic." He grinned as he was praised for his choice. "I don't think there's a tight spot now that I couldn't get out of. I'm little and I can fold myself." He gave a cheeky little grin and a nod as he ate another chicken nugget and pushed his father's plate towards him. "Aren't you hungry Daddy?"

"I always ride with daddy." Because Malik and him often did go riding. He like Ramoth and she was surprisingly affectionate to him. But he seemed to think about it then. And then he got a little suspicious look to her. "Are you just scared to ride by yourself aunt Lharika?"
He was always comparing himself to that boy. Then again the same could be said for Malikhai. Though it was nice to see that he knew he had a strong point to himself. "Once you get it under control." Then a smile and a shake of his head as the boy explained that he wouldn't be caught in a tight spot. And then a look at the plate...and he took to eating it's contents. "Yeah I'm hungry...I just don't talk and eat at the same time."

She shook her head. "No silly, I'm not scared to ride alone, I like riding alone when Daddy Kieran and I go out to do stuff. It's fun. But I didn't want you to get upset because I could ride alone and you couldn't. Make sense?"
"Of course but I'm still better at it." Sevilin got another grin as he shoved another chicken nugget in his mouth and chewed in record time, leaving only two lonely pieces left on the plate. "Eating and talking at the same time is good for you. Helps you learn how to...multitask. Yup, that's the word Miss Piper used."
His head tilted a moment the way it did when he was thinking and connecting things in his mind. "Daddy, does that mean I can start learning runes and stuff really soon?" In his mind it wasn't going to take him very long to get his magic under control at all. He could make it come out, now he just had to make it stay inside. How hard could it be?

He thought about it a moment. "I suppose that makes sense." Giving a nod to her explaination before leaning his head against his mother's shoulder. "Where's daddy?"
"Daddy is...working."
"Again?" Little bit of a whiny tone, even if he was used to the occassional streak of work his father did for a while. Thus a little pouting before he huffed and let it go for the time being. "When can I have my draithix?"
Oh wonderful, a change of subject. "Well...I suppose you can have them now." A look to Lharika. "I assume you know some things about this, either that or father put it all in that journal. Just need to set up a little nesting ground for them right? Someplace sheltered outside?" She knew a good place or two.
He gave a light chuckle, eating chicken nuggests with more or less not tasting them. "I don't think she meant it quite that way, son. Multitasking is more like...when you clean and eat at the same time. Something like that." Reaching over her smoothed the boy's hair some. "Yes, that means you can start learning soon." Not that it would be much, but it would still be learning something. "You feeling better?"

Dragomyzl cocked an eyebrow, in for an instant the fire flashed in his eyes. His teeth cletched and he closed and opened his fists in rapid succession. It seemed that if for a moment he were about to attack, but he knew better then attack someone in there own domain. He had a job to do, and attacking this Drow wasn't going to help him, save send him to an early grave...again.
When he spoke his voice was cool and collected, "I don't meant to intrude on your home, Mr. D'Vinn but it I was told that you would be the man to speak to about information as to the whereabouts of a certain object which I seek." His voice grew silent, his brow furrowed, as if he was having an argument with himself. "Obviously, I would not assume that you would do this out of the kindness of your heart, I am sure that we can help each other out, there must be some problem that I may help you ressolve?"
Dragomyzl grew silent and folded his arms behind him, waiting for the Drow's answer.

Arthur hummed himself a small tune from his youth as they walked, he didn't do this for Isle it was something he always done when walking to and fro from the fortress to home and the other way around. it was a simple tune, one his human mother often hummed to him while he was a small lad, of course he remembered it off by heart, once is enough for elves. But every so often he would stop when he heard a small noise coming from Isle, though when he looked back all he saw was she was rubbing her eyes, must of been from the trick she used to let her eyes see in the dark, though Arthur couldn't help I but look back everytime she did, it was a force of habit because first he was worried that a creature would actually attack without warning and second he just worried about her. Though everytime he knew it was her eyes he calmed down knowing what was going on, but one thing that surprised him was that she was able to spot his house, from the looks of things they were close but not that close; but if he squinted he would be able to see it. "Yeah it is, just a little more to go."
Once they finally reached his humble home Arthur took out his house key and unlocked the door. "It may not be much but its perfect for me." He said and opened the door and allowed her inside. Once he and Isle walked in, and after the elf close the door, Arthur snapped his fingers and the fire place suddenly caught fire. Though as he walked over to the fire place to set his katana on the mantel he looked a little at Isle and said. "Want anything to drink?" Well its been awhile since he had anyone over at his house for more then ten minutes, and besides Isle was from the surface so he didn't know what she drank.

Lharika nodded, "Yup, nesting ground for them and keep the eggs warm and they'll hatch in no time. Daddy Kieran wanted to make sure they wouldn't be in the egg stage for too long 'specially since it's the Underdark and you're just beginning your brood."
"If you say so Daddy but I think you would be the only one to do that. Nobody else likes to clean like you do." He looked a little suspicious then. "Wouldn't you get the white stuff on your fingers and stain your food funny colors? I don't think that would be very good to eat." Daddy got a grin for the smoothing of his hair, he liked that much better than when it got all messed up and fell in his eyes. "I feel a little tiny bit icky still though..." Then he brightened, "Can we read a story? That might make me feel better all the way."

Malik's hand went to teh bridge of his nose, pinching at it lightly.
"what are you after, and what are you. these are the questions I need to know the answers to so that I can ascertain wether helping you is in my interest or not, or even possible."
Yes, patience was not a strong suit right now.
"answer that, and then I can answer you."

Isle wasn't particularly paying too much attention to anything, only giving Arthur a nod and brushed some lavender strands of hair from her face, continuing on the walk to Arthur's place, and once inside said procalimed, home she merely looked around, though she did cringe and avert her eyes as he flared fire...oh that hurt.
Hands went to her eyes once more, rubbing at pain from the increase in light and she blinked a few times. "Great...haze." Light flashblind effects. To which she gave an annoyed sigh and then placed her palm over her eyes. A second later she pulled her hands away and her eyes had lost thier glow, merely teal and gold again. A look back to Arthur. "No, I'm fine...no need to play the humble host."
Piper nodded to Lharika and then looked to Malikhai, setting him on the floor. "Alright then, Malikhai let's pick out the egg you want and we'll keep that inside. The others have to stay outside so they are indeed free range, okay? Don't worry, they'll be safe, I know a few good little hideaways around this place. Nothing bigger will come along to eat them." There was too much protection around the place anyway. And of course the little ones would be lightly pinne as well. Another look to Lark. "Well miss draithix expert, shall we get to it?"
He was already out of the room by the time mommy stopped addressing him and was heading downstairs to where those eggs had been left on the couch, still safe and sound. Carefully taking all of them out of the bag and setting them side by side, he studied them. Hm...which one did he want?
"You're probably right." Seeing as Sevilin was a habitual cleaner and could pretty much do it while doing anything else. Yeah that was him. "It doesn't really work that way...works on dirt and food isn't dirty unless you drop it on the floor, right?" Simple child logic that would work. Then a tilt of his head as the boy again proposed an idea. "Sure, I guess we can read a story if it'll make you feel better." Finishing up his own food and picking up his plate.

She nodded and watched Malikhai as he moved downstairs really quickly then stood up, giggling at the nickname Piper gave her. Joining the little boy she crouched down and pointed to a few. "Some of these are going to be little girls Malikhai. Would that bother you?"
"Of course I am Daddy." He poked his head. "I'm smart." Then he giggled and jumped up all excited, picking up that plate and walked it over to the sink then glanced at the library. Chewing on his lip he peeked in and saw Zara sitting there with Nym still. Toddling back over in all his shirtless glory he tugged on his father's tunic sleeve. "Daddy," he whispered, "Will you go get the book for me?"

"Long as she can keep up, I don't mind." As he kept on examining eggs...who knew what the boy was looking for. But eventually he picked one up and set it aside from the others on the couch. "I want that one." Then diligently putting the others back in the bed to make sure they didn't roll away or anything. "Okay, what's next?" Looking to the two in his company.
"I suppose we go outside and look around for a good place to build a pen until they learn what 'home' is when they hatch, don't we? Location scouting." Holding out her hand for the boy to take hold of since they were indeed outside. Another look to Lark. "Care to lead the ramble?"
And he watched the boy run off...and then come back. A raise of an eyebrow...well that was an odd request now wasn't it? Indeed it was. "Too high for you?" Well he assumed. "What book do you want?"

"Sure." She nodded to the little boy's choice then stood back up and headed for the door, skipping along quite happily. Once outside she started looking around for a spot that would work well with the eggs. A small outcropping of rocks on the eastern side of the fortress might do. "What kind of place do you want to put them in Malikhai?"
"Ebony Black. In the book of tales." He walked into the living room and plopped on the couch, crossing his legs and waiting for his father to come back. Mindlessly tugging on a string on his socks as he waited. He didn't want to see Zara right now. She was a little too busy with Nym anyway.
