Arthur shrugged lightly at her question as they were walking through the Underdark. "What's the point in riding my horse when you have to walk? Seems a little unfair to me, besides I've been walking back and forth from the Twilight to my home for years so it wouldn't bother me at all." Arthur was about being fair, and if Isle wanted to walk then so would he it was as simple as that. So there they were, walking through the Underdark, a soft clink could be heard when Arthur took a step, it was his katana bouncing when his left foot took a small step, though he didn't care for it, if he wanted to be silent all he had to do was grasp the handle. Though he had a few questions for her about being a bard, Arthur liked bards a lot, always having music to play and whatnot, their instruments so nice to watch as they played them. "So do you only know how to play the flute or do you play anything else?" Well seeing as she is an elf he had to wonder if she learned to play a different instrument, being a bard she should be able to make beautiful music with anything she held in her hands.

Piper gave a sigh, well there was no need in trying to be cordial with him was there? "Then I guess I'll be going by myself. Probably take Malikhai with me." Quite obvious that he wasn't going to go and she probably couldn't talk him into going either. Though she couldn't help but say something. "If they bother you that much then I'll just have to say something to Meilikki and hope she has some direction for me when it comes to this surface rebuilding business that still rests on my shoulders. Would that make you feel better?" Okay perhaps a little edge to her voice at that, but hey he was the one being vindictive.
"Because my actions should not dictate your own, that would be the point." Frowning lightly at him over the concept. But she didn't say anything else as she merely let him lead, noting that the terrain was rather very friendly to her...living in mountains wasn't so different really it seemed. Mostly a lot of looking around for her and what not, almost child like fascination. The sounds were certinally different that was for sure. Though she didn't look to him, she did answer him. "I can play quite a few instruments...I just happen to perfer any kind of flute over the others. So many variations and what not to discover. Rainsongs have been playing and singing forever, it's perhaps what we do best."

"Well out of respect for you Isle, I rather walk." Geez he didn't want to just sit there on Brahnel while Isle had to walk, he would feel like an idiot besides his stallion would rather run then just simply walk for awhile. Though he had to nod lightly at her answer to his question, he had the same feeling when it came to his violin, he liked other instruments but the violin stuck with him the most for some reason, he just liked the wooden instrument. "I know what you mean, when I first saw a violin I just like it right from the start, even while practicing to get use to it I never gave up, the sound I heard my teacher bring forth from it really got me wanting to play it." Turning around to face her so he could easily talk to her more, but now he was walking backwards, like he really cared he knew where he was going. "Though I know with your skill I'll be hearing beautiful music, the best I would of ever heard in my life, I never heard any music from the surface so I know it's gotta be good." Hey Arthur was really happy, no one else he knew played any music so after hearing that Isle was a bard he just had to listen to her, it's better than listening to himself practice day after day after day.

"Out of respect for me? I hold myself no higher than you." In speaking of respect he made it seem like they were on different levels. Not that she particularly cared, she just found this all...intriging. "And respect does little to dictate actions as well." Funny thinking elf indeed. Even as he started speaking on a subject that she knew very well. "As I said, a melody is a melody...they are all the same and are present everywhere...one does not need an instrument either. A melody can come from anywhere and be on anything, and have any sound...it is the emotion one puts into it that makes a melody music, just as heartfel truthful words make a song."

Well Arthur didn't mean that he thought that Isle held herself higher than him but if she wanted to say it that way then fine, if he dared continued talking about it they probably both get confused. Though he nodded lightly and smiled as she went on to explain to him about melody and everything that goes with it. "Your right, spoken like a true bard." Well his respect for Isle grew, she knew exactly what she was saying and didn't replay any false information which Arthur hated the most. Though one thing was still bugging him. "Your last name, you said there was more too it than what it means...does it have to do with the magic that you use when you play?" He was puzzled about that ever since she had mentioned it to him earlier, he wanted to find out the meaning behind her last name, but even if she doesn't tell him he wouldn't mind maybe he'll figure it out one day.

"Of course it does. Not often are our House names friviously thrown together. They have meanings and thier meanings are sometimes right out there for all to know exactly whom they are messing with. It truly is no riddle...though I suppose for down here it would be." Fairly simply stated, but hey that was Isleandra...quick and to the point. A raise of an eyebrow at him. "And what do you know of bards? You seemed quite more comfortable with rangers." But she merely shrugged at him, Isle and her rhetorical questions as she went back to scanning over the place. It wasn't so bad...kind of like the mountian caves back home.

Arthur nodded lightly and smiled, well at least that part of his curiosity can be put to rest for the moment. "Well that's good to know, I should be careful if I ever meet anymore surface elves from now on." That was a good tidbit of information to know, at least he was able to hear it now than later when faced with someone who he may not like as much. Though one thing he picked up right away about Isle is that she was always getting straight to the point about...well basically anything she was asked about, never going into more depth about it, just saying what she thought and cutting it right there. Though her next comment kind of bugged him, but her shrug just put him at ease for a moment, he was actually talking about how she spoke to him; she had that feeling that what she was saying was true and not made up, so he could trust that she was a true bard. Anyways Arthur didn't say anything after that, it seemed if he said another word some big conversation would come out of it, besides she was really enjoying the walk so why bother her again? But if she wanted to ask him anything the she could go right ahead he didn't care, they were getting closer to his home anyway.

"If you check on it often, then we won't have to worry about that now will we?" She giggled and slapped her hands over her tummy as he poked what was at his level to poke then shook her head. "We'll just have to wait and see, yes?"
He very carefully painted the last strands then plopped the brush in the bowl, splashing it a bit onto his hands once again. Not a problem, another wipe on his shirt and then he hopped down off the counter and hugged his father's legs. "Thanks Daddy but I'm still going to ask her."
He flounced off in his socks to the library and climbed up on the couch next to Zahara looking at her, studying her really. "Zara, you're really pretty."
Zahara was petting and nuzzling at the ferret then realized Zykariel was in the room and glanced over at the little boy and lightly ruffled his hair. "Thanks Kariel."
He tilted his head, and frowned. "Daddy was right..." Thus slipping off the couch and trudging back towards Daddy, bright mood gone. He snuffled, wiping his nose on his own tunic and tugged on his father's tunic. "Hungry Daddy."
Zahara blinked as the boy up and left but shook her head and went back to loving on Nym.

Malik's gaze moved to her for a moment.
"You're not taking Malikhai over three by yourself. If you insist on going then I going. I'm not having our son exposed to that group without both his parents present."
though he got up, none to happy still.
"the arrogance of those surface trash never ceases to astound or annoy me. Tell me when your all ready to go, and we'll go."
and then down ot the basement, to see that other thing. and not being overly pleasent about it either.
"what are you, where are you from and what the hell do you want."

Of course she said nothing more. If he didn't want to hold conversation, that was fine by her. Though every now and then she did make a noise and rub at her eyes some. This is what she got for not doing this regularly...then again she was never really anyplace dark enough and moonlight let her see just fine with her keen eyes. Hm, she thought she was already missing the sky. But she turned her eyes forward, just walking. "Is that it?" Amazing that she could decern a house among all the rocky terrain, wasn't it? Yay moon elven sight abilities.
"Yeah I suppose so." Plopping down on the floor once more and grabbing his boots, checking to see if they were any dryer. And much to his delight they were, and he went about pulling them on. But he looked off in no descript direction that anyone else could tell before back to his boots. "Mommy and daddy aren't happy." Said oddly casually, but then a look to Lark and throwing his arms up in the 'pick me up' gesture.
Sevilin nodded but then had to keep in a cringe as first the boy messed his own clothes again...and then by tranference was messing up Sevilin's pants. Underdark homemade bleach...not good for those dark colors of clothing after all. Oh well...would have to just buy more. A slight sigh as the boy walked off and Sevilin took to cleaning up and then rinsing out his hair using the sink.
Though he was quite confused when the boy came back, again in a sour mood. And even more so when the boy asked for food...from him. "Um, alright then, what do you want?" Said as he was drying off the pieces he had rinsed before crouching down to his son and pulling his now runic tunic off of him, showing the child the bleach spots. "Works on fabric too. Wash your hands and I'll get you something to eat."
He blinked at the child giving a happy noise...and then an odd questioning one as he seemed to be disheartened by the way things just went and he decided to trudge off again. Of course his worries were duely forgotten at more tummy scratching.
She tapped her fingers on the arm of her chair and glared. "Right because gods forbid I let one hug him or look at him too long, right? You know I'm going, Meilikki is my friend. Though if you're going to come with that attitude, you better fake being at least content." Okay yes she was being a bit harsh now...but he had started it. However she didn't expect a response as he walked off down the the basement. Funny...usually him calling surface elves surface trash wasn't such a bad thing, this time it made her frown. Piper gave an exasperated sigh before getting herself up and heading upstairs fo find her sister and her son.

She watched him carefully and then realized what he was doing. He was recieving a bond message, she got those when Daddy Kieran got irritated about something, which wasn't really all that often. Or when he was really happy, usually when he was with Mama Fianna or Uncle Lateef let him get unchained from his desk. "That's not good..." Leaning down she lifted the little boy and settled him on her hip hugging him tightly. "You feeling okay?"
He glanced down at the tunic as his father went about stripping him and reached out to touch it, surprised that it felt just like the fabric. Then a reach up and he pushed aside some of his hair to study it closely. "No more pink." A nod then as he reached up and scratched his chest the way Daddy did sometimes and then toddled over to the kitchen chair slipping into it. "Chicken nuggets please."

He seemed to be thinking about it a moment. "I think I am." It wasn't so bad. Sure, he got stronger pulls from his mother right now but his father's bond influence was ever growing, which was a good thing in the grand plan. Ah elven bonding...point was he could pick his parent's moods sometimes. Then a look over to the door as mommy made an apperance. "Do I get to have one?" Because of course he really really wanted to know.
Piper indeed walked into the room, giving her little adopted sister and her son both a hug. "You just show up at the most busiest times, don't you Lharika?" Before a look to her son. "Yes, me and your father decided we're going to keep the draithix," a tap on his nose, " and you get to take care of them. One you may keep as a pet, and spoil, the rest you have to sort of train but let them be free range." Ruffling his hair before taking the burden of holding someone roughly half the girls size from her sister looking back to Lharika. "My friend Meilikki wants to see me, do you want to come? I'm planning on taking Malikhai and of course that means Malik is going to go apparently. I'd ask Isle too...but she's apparently already gone off wandering." Deducted because she hadn't seen the woman around the house.
"No more pink indeed, but your tunic is ruined. We were going to have to get you some new clothes anyway...after all, you're a growing boy aren't you?" Giving a chuckle and ruffling the boy's hair before standing once more and looking again to the white blotch on his gray pants. Oh well. "Chicken nuggets? I can do those." Thus going about making them for the child...hey Zahara had premade a whole batch of them and just kept them as a staple. He just had to get some out and heat them. It worked. So a good twenty minutes later, he was setting a plate of chicen nuggets on the table. "Here you so Zykariel, and I didn't even burn them. Aren't you proud of me?"

She smiled at Piper as she came into the room and nodded. "Sure, I like meeting your friends, Piper." She plopped on his bed and crossed her legs into a crisscross position. "Isle might want to come but she's out with Arthur right now. He's showing her stuff I think." Then a pause and she propped her elbows on her knees and her chin in her hands. "Is she nice? Your friend?"
"Because I'm getting big just like you." Then a steaming hot plate of the nuggets was set in front of him and he grinned, before standing up on his chair and throwing his arms around his father's neck and squeezed tightly. "Very, very proud of you Daddy."
Though he let go a moment later and sat down on his knees, picking up one of those nuggets and taking a tiny bite so that he didn't burn his tongue or mouth. "Will you sit down and eat with me?"

"I get a pet!" Oh you could feel the happy raditating off of him. As he squirmed happily, hugging his mother and just oh so happy about this. He was finally going to get to take care of something all by himself and was big enough to do it too! Oh wait till Zykariel heard. Though what was this, more good news...after all, he had never been to Honorsfield. "And I get to go too?!" So very excited.
"You'll like Meilikki." Petting at her son's hair as she held him and he happily held to her, fingers of one hand wrapped around her collar, chuckling lightly at his enthusiam. "Yes, you're just having a good day aren't you?" Before her eyes turned back to Lharika. "Meilikki is a very nice woman, very friendly. Me and her go back quite a few years, we met when I needed to get a cure to a poison Malik had been exposed to." Sitting down next to the girl on the bed, setting Malikhai in her lap. "I still owe her a favor, but we're really good friends despite that. She used to be an Oracle, but now she's more or less just like us. Very good with potions though."
"Yes indeed you are." Yes boosting the child's ego. Hey, it was nice to be able to give positive influence. Though he blinked lightly at the boy's sudden change in mood again, this time to highly affectionate. But her merely wrapped an arm around the boy, hugging him back and giving him a pat on the back as well before he sat back down. "Good, I'm proud of me too." Timers were Sevilin's friend.
A tilt of his head at a second request. "Of course I can, if you share with me." Not that he would eat too much, seeing as he wasn't really in the mood for food, but if the boy wanted him to sit down with him, Sevilin had no problems with that. "So, Malik tells me you want to learn conjuring. You sure?"

"Well that's good. I'm glad she's nice and I'll like her. I like most of your friends." Not that she had met a lot of them but she liked Isle and Isle and Piper were friends so it worked right? In her mind anyway. She scooted a bit closer and leaned her head against Piper's arm, taking a bit of the freely given affection that existed here just like home.
" 'Course I will. I like sharing with you." He studied the pile of nuggets on his plate and then slipped off his chair and pushed another chair over to the counter by the stove, standing up and pulling down a plate very carefully. Then toddling back over to his father he set the plate on teh placemat already on the table and retook his seat.
"One for you adn one for me, and here's another one for you and another for me. That's two." Putting one on his plate nad pushing one to the side of his own. "Three...four...five...and six." then he looked at the one that he had eaten half of and offered it as well. "Six and a half?"
