"I guess you don't get a lot of travelers during that time of year. It must be nice to have a little bit of a break though, right?"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 07, 2006 4:17 pm

Aye, *Maggie nods* 'Tis a good chance te tend to what needs mending about the place. And it allows me a bit more time with Will. *she smiles again* I'm always glad for that.

"Will is your son, right?"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 07, 2006 4:43 pm

Aye, that's right. *Maggie glances away toward the library's hallway for a moment, then back to Luana* I've been trying te teach him his letters, as I've learned here, especially now 'tis too cold for him te play outside for long. *her smile becomes a mixture of sheepishness and motherly pride* I fear he's well caught up with me, though, and then some.

"Too bad you can't just take books back with you when you leave. I bet that would make teaching a lot easier." Luana felt herself starting to fade.

"Oops! I guess I'll talk to you later..."

Fare well, Luana *Maggie calls after her as she vanishes, then bites her lip thoughtfully and looks over toward the library again. She's taken things back to her time from here before, when Bard went with her to see Will, but she's never tried just taking something herself. She can't help feeling that would be a somehow like stealing, though*

*But before she can deliberate the matter further, she fades out as well*

**Exit Maggie**

A cloaked figure materialized in the Brink's main room, water dripping in rivulets from her clothes as her booted feet alighted on the floor. The hood of her cloak had been pulled back just before she Brinked, and the woman's black hair was plastered wetly to her face as she wrestled with the hood a moment before realizing where she was. The already moistly grumpy expression grew darker, her blue-lightning eyes clouding over like the storm she'd just escaped from.

"You goat-fornicating son of a gutter whore...leprosey is too good for you! STOP BRINGING ME HERE!!"

The bellow was delivered to the empty room with incredible force and volume for such a small, if stocky, woman. In that brief moment, it was easy to see why the recruits she trained lived in bed-wetting terror of her.

**Enter Maggie**

*Maggie fades in, crouched down in the midst of a talk with her son* --omise me ye'll mind yer manners about her, Wi ... Oh. *She shakes her head slightly, taking the transition in stride ... but then catches sight of a new face.*

Oh, good day te ye there, *she greets Tarma as she rises to her feet*

Janani fades in with a sigh, her back to the other two girls. She's scratching her head, as if she's looking at something. That something, however to her perspective, is suddenly gone. She blinks as she realizes that she's within the brink. She sighs, hoping this place hadn't brought her to be alone again... No! She had to remember what Tavin said...but things are so hard to keep in perspective like that. Kara seemed intent on making her believe that. No! Janani slaps her face. There were nice people here, too. She flaps her diminuitive wings as if to pep herself up.

Tarma spun on her heel, hand automatically throwing back the cloak to reach for the sword at her hip; realizing that the woman in front of her meant no threat, she relaxed her posture, removing her right hand from her sword slowly. Dark lashes lowered slowly, concealing azure eyes from sight as the Irishwoman considered this new arrival.

"You're English."

The words were spoken quietly, but there was a hint of steel beneath them that was somewhat disconcerting to hear when it came from a woman toting a bloody great sword around.

*Maggie steps back instinctively as Tarma first reaches for her sword, then blinks at her words* Ehm . . Aye, I am. *She twists her hands together a bit uneasily* I dinna believe we've met . .. I *she cuts off as she spots someone else there*

Oh, greetings there, Janani. *she offers a smile, despite her slight nervousness over the weapon-toting newcomer*

Janani's ears perk. If she were a cat, as her plushie, they might turn towards where the voices had come from. That voice... The woman dressed in older attire. A warrior. She also was a woman of great faith; though, she didn't quite believe that Janani's home was of Celestial origin. She turns, hugging WhiteRose close to her chest, to see Maggie and Tarma. One problem... She doesn't actually recall the former's name, and she doesn't remember the later being introduced... For the moment, she doesn't know if she should step forward. She doesn't want to frighten the women... She does sigh. How is it that a being as her, made to protect Humanity, incited fear? Maybe it was the general fear of the unknown...

Then Maggie greets her. Janani only wishes that so much time hadn't passes so that she might remember the woman's name... Ma...? She was a mother, right? Ma...? Ma...? Janani gives up, with a bit of an emabarrassed look.

Oh! Uh... Hi. It's been a while...

...at least to her perspective. She has to remember that things, and time, are not always what they seem.

Turning her head to look at the other being in the room, Tarma stiffens slightly; she remembered this one. Flicking her glance back and forth between the two, she finaly settled on the English woman. There was a watchfulness in her eyes, a strong hint of suspicion of everyone present.

"You're with the enemy soldiers then? With the English Kings army?"
PostPosted: Mon Jun 12, 2006 3:50 pm

*Maggie nods her understanding to Janani* I know the time passes differently for all o'us. *she then turns back to Tarma as she addresses her*

The . . king's . . . army? *Maggie echoes, and then shakes her head* Nay, nay. We've a queen now, and .. *she pauses, realizing she'd better backtrack* Ye're new here, are ye not? Has no one yet explained the workings of this place te ye?

Janani sighs. At least Tarma's general avoidance is better than Kara's constant... She'd rather not think about it. Instead, she takes a seat on the hard floor. It oft seems the chairs can't handle her massive bulk. Then Maggie says something that proves just how perceptive she is. She has to smile. The woman is familiar. Then the question to Tarma... She wonders if the woman would remember names from last time.

I think Cora talked with her... Uhm... I'm sorry, but I don't believe I got your name last time...

Janani is trying to get Tarma to introduce herself, and maybe incite Maggie into saying her name as well. She doesn't really know what to do...
