The most valuable thing I've learned so far today.
Is forced-relaxation.
Howdewhatty?
It enables greater flexibility while making the muscles stronger
Example. Toe touching stretch. (for hamstrings)
Bend over at the hip to the point where you feel you cant stretch anymore.
Contract all of your muscles (yes including the body part you are stretching) and just breathe for a bit. (don't let up on the stretch)
After some time your muscles will get tired.. with an exhale.. relax yourself.. you should notice that you are a little lower than before.
Tense up... get tired.. relax.. slightly lower again
repeat.. until you are tired.
