He didn't seem to protest the embrace, infact, he enjoyed it, a single tear rolling down his cheek as a hand shifted to rest upon one of hers. He knew she couldn't return his love, not anymore, but her thanks helped, "Learning to love you heart and soul is a hard lesson to forget, Cora. For the rest of my days and into my remaining lives, its one lesson that won't ever leave me." Slowly he began to fade, "Next time... why don't we have a drink, catch up. Love to know how everyone's been..."

:: razz art of her was relieved to have spoken to Tacitus again, to have gotten some feelings out of the ay. And while that little bit of her felt lighter for it, yet another part of her felt immensly sad:::
:::Slowly she gathered all her books together again, and returned them to the library. She came back shortly with a new selection of books. This batch included a book on...love, and headed back to her room down the guest hall:::

Luana faded in sitting at a table, reaching out across it with her eyes focussed near her hand. When the hand she was holding was suddenly no longer there she looked up.
"It's been a while." She leaned back in the chair and rubbed her eyes.

Luanna removes her hands from her eyes and sees Kal sitting across from her.
In a soft voice she said, "Kal. Hey there." She smiled.

Luana focussed her eyes on the past as she related what had happened in the months that had passed.
"After we spoke was the funeral. It was closed casket, which was understandable. I thought it was kind of odd that my own father wasn't there, seeing as Andy is Roger's son and Roger is my father's best friend. I had trouble sleeping most nights, but when school started it became easier for me to lose myself in work. Penny and Sam were worried about me, especially after I announced that I would never play with rockets again. It was all over the tabloids, and I turned down more interviews than I could count. It was rough.
"Then one night I had the urge to go through the crawl spaces of the sub-basements. I don't know why, but I did. What I found..." Luana hesitated a bit, trying to decide how to put into words what she had discovered in Dr. McColn's hidden laboratory.
She took a breath and looked at Kal. "What I found," she began again, "was my father and a nurse in a level I didn't know existed. And the patient they were working with was Andy. All that time, he had been alive in my own house.
"I was with him just before I faded in."

Luana shook her head. "My father knew, Roger knew, my mother probably knew, and my grosseltern suspected that my father was up to something.
"Andy has been comatose this whole time. And since the funeral my father has been..." The smile was gone. She took a deep breath and let no other expression take its place. "He has been experimenting."
