Yeah, there hasn't been a true let-down game for Kirby yet. (Unless some people who count Air Ride, but I don't know, I've never played the game so I have no experience)

I saw the box for Kirby Super Star Ultra in Gamestop and I was totaly wondering if it even came out or not. I went all googly-eyed and all xd

I thought for sure it wasn't out yet, but I took a shot anyway

Not as far as I know, she (the cashier) told me that the box was up in the "Coming Releases" section or something.

I say don't put out the boxes unless the game is already out.

I had to kind of expect that the game wasn't out yet, because I looked at the back, and it was a lot different than normal back covers. All there was was like 3 in-game pictures and maybe a paragraph talking about the new graphics and whatever.

I guess they could put out the boxes for games that haven't been released yet, to tell the people that they are coming out, but it's a little confusing in my opinion.

Oh yeah, another reason why I knew it wasn't probably out then was because there was only 1 box, and when I shook it, it was empty. I almost had the hope that you had to get it at the counter, but gave up after about a minute of thought. xd

It'll be nice to play that game and see how it felt for other people when they played it back then, but with a higher quality. Plus, It'll make my collection a little heftier. xd

I only own 2 Kirby games not counting Brawl. .___.

So I'm really looking forward to it. =3

No no no. I just hate Twilight Princess for the fact that it's creation is SOLELY for Ocarina of Time fanservice.

I love Link's Awakening, Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass.

But now here's the thing about Miyamoto. He was doing pretty cool until about 2003, which is also the year Sakurai left Nintendo.

Miyamoto made a game that I thought, even though a sequel, was super awesome, original and unique.

What did the fans do? They ******** panned it. If you bring up that title with "hardcore" Zelda fans, the 80% of them will pretend the GAME DOESN'T EVEN EXIST.

Now what does that have to do with anything? Well, the fact that, I dunno, Miyamoto put his ******** SOUL INTO IT?! He didn't just supervise the game, he helped direct it, helped write a lot of the game's OST (Which is still a s**t-load better than TP, actually, ANY of the Zelda game's OSTs are better than TP) and tried to make one of the most in-depth stories to date in a First-party Nintendo game.

But the game was still panned. It got almost perfect reviews everywhere, but the fanbase? "It's cartoony and lame" "Sailing is long and boring" "Blah blah blah, Ganon is fat" "Blah blah blah, EVERYONE ELSE IS DISSING THIS GAME SO HERE IS A DUMB REASON TO DISS IT"

So, Miyamoto was pretty much pissed after that. ....but also notice something else strange.

Right after that fan-panning of a game he worked so hard on, we ended up getting I dunno, about a BAJILLION Mario spin-off games?

And yes, those are technically sequels. Sakurai pretty much saw that, if he was going to make something original, people were going to EXPECT a sequel out of it. Notice Miyamoto's whoring and went, "Yeah, I don't want to stick around here"

Now, everything BEFORE that incident Miyamoto did was pretty damn awesome, and I think he's coming back now. But I'm going to be frankly honest. I really think Miyamoto did not even TOUCH Twilight Princess. "******** this, they don't like my idea, screw you." Which could be a reason that it sucks so much. But that also explains why Miyamoto is scared to make new ideas and not milk as much s**t out of it as he can.

Pikmin got a sequel. I thought that game would have been a nice stand-alone, but it got a bloody sequel.

Also note that when people think of Nintendo, they think of Miyamoto, not the company or their current President, Satoru Iwata.

So what's the way for Sakurai to piss off Nintendo fans? Botch the two most known characters of the company: Mario and Link. Sakurai pretty much gives a nod to Miyamoto's efforts in Wind Waker by making Toon Link the superior Link, and originally planning to have a Toon Sheik and Toon Zelda. (Who, quite frankly, would have been more ******** bad-a**)

The fact that he brought Ganondorf back and is still a pseudo-clone of Capt. Falcon is another, "Hahahahaha, this game is so lame and is only made for the sake of making money" in the mind of Sakurai, and hopefully Miyamoto too.

Notice that Mario had the FLUDD as an attack. What other game did fans hate of Miyamoto's?

Super Mario Sunshine.

This painting a clear picture yet? Sakurai was pretty much purposely pissing on the fans that don't try anything new and just complain when the game sequel is EXACTLY to their specs.

I'll be honest: Mario Galaxy is LAME. It's Mario 64 with a few tweaks but ultimately the same damn game. I like the new character of Rosalina/Rossetta, but that's about it.

Sunshine, to me, was a lot more original and fun. The addition of the FLUDD made the puzzles and---blah blah blah *I like Sunshine no one else does, rant*

The only thing Galaxy had going for it was it's OST, which, let's be honest. The OST of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, BLOWS IT AWAY. But of course, NiGHTS being an original creation (though sequel, though about 12 years later), is the lesser known of the two titles.

It pretty much just comes down to, Sakurai wants to see Nintendo being awesome like they were in the late 80s and early 90s with original titles like, Kid Icarus (Hey, he put Pit in), Mach Rider (Trophy and music), Ice Climbers (Popo and Nana?) and other such cool ideas that Nintendo tried and abandoned for the sake of easy-make money.

There's a joke my friend says about Final Fantasy:
"Place a piece of crap in a box and put the name 'Final Fantasy' on it and it'll sell like hotcakes"

Which I also think applies to Nintendo's annoying fat plumber and even to their Peter Pan wannabe. More to Mario than Link though (Wind Waker and PH are panned for sole fact of 'Link is not hawt enough'), but still. Why do we NEED, EIGHT Mario Parties? Weren't the first 3 good enough?

Do we seriously need to have all these spin-offs one after the other to keep the franchise going? I know Mario's the mascot, but he's been around for OVER TWENTY FIVE YEARS. If you hate him, it's probably because of personal bias and not because, "I've never played one of his games". Zelda series? Twenty.

So, get out a pen and paper and come up with at least 10 original, first-party titles that Nintendo has made in the last, I dunno, 5 years. Yeah, we'll go with five years since that's when Sakurai left.

Oh, and I took Chibi-Robo (both of them) and Nintendogs already.

No spin-offs. Original games with original characters in some world that is not based on already existing Nintendo places.

THIS is what Sakurai got pissed about. Lack of originality.

Whao ok I can't read all of this. Too much to do as it is. Though it sounds like you have a lot of pent up anger. I can't blame you for the rant either. I could do the same thing about Kingdom Hearts, Naurto, and FF7 (Hell most recent FF series for that matter.)

You can reserve the game at game stop. I did.

I said my bf is better with Kirby but its not because Mario sucks. My bf really likes Kirby. (Though he refuses to play anymore Kirby games ever again. Even Super Stars Ultra.) He has never owned a Smash Brothers game so whenever he would play, he would pick Kirby. Kirby is his main Smash Brothers character ever since the beginning. He as only recently started playing as Mario a lot since I own Brawl and he can play it quite a bit now. He has not had a chance to be Mario as much as he has Kiby. He also thinks its funnier to kick someone's a** with a little pink ball of cuteness than a fat plumber.

If it means anything, he is better with Mario than he is Ike, Snake, Meta Knight, and a hell of a lot of other characters. (Though he is pretty good with just about everyone. Even Yoshi! FOR GOD SAKES HE IS GOOD WITH YOSHI! ) Lets also not forget his power with DK, Olimar, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff.

Brawl is a fan service. Play as the characters you want regardless of how good they are. That was the original point of the whole series. Don't turn this into the typical tourney argument of "this character sucks and you should not be him or her."

Also, Jigglypuff should never get cut. It is one of the original characters from the first game and I think it has more popularity out there in Japan then Mewtwo does. Granted I didn't want to see Mewtwo cut either. (Lucario was not a very good replacement. Its too obvious how they are trying to get rid of old with new. ) Anyway, Japan loves cute things. Jigglypuff is super cute and played a bigger role in the first series of the anime than some other Pokemon. It also does not suck. It is just REALLY hard to get its moves down right. Once you figure out that whole "wall of pain" thing they talk about then she is pretty tough.

Did I ever SAY I was supporting Tourney Tards? Hell no, I hate their little s**t asses and their "FOX AND MARTH ARE BETTER THAN BLAH BLAH BLAH" about everything and "NO ITEMS, GRAAAWWWW".

My argument is, and has always been, the fact that Sakurai PURPOSELY made the game biased to his liking.

So what if your boyfriend is good at so and so character? That's ONE. But the fact that he is still good with Kirby shows the fact that the characters Sakurai created were made for being the easiest to dominate with, regardless of skill.

Tourney Tards, the extreme ones, ******** hate Brawl. It's slower, the characters that were god were turned into crap and not as good in comparison. And all of the items and unpredictable stages make the game unsatisfying to them.

Final note:
ONE person does not make up for a million.

The MILLION can easily pick up Kirby, Meta Knight or Dedede and get some KOs. Then the really skilled can dominate with them regardless.

THAT is the Brawl Conspiracy. Sakurai made the game in his favor, and in reality, does not give a s**t about Nintendo's fanbase because he pretty much believes they are sequel-craving jerks.

Ranting continued: Okay, I'm not going to acknowledge a gangster who didn't take the time to read anything. And hey, our posts are in colour, so be thankful it isn't in black and white.

Jigglypuff: Worst character ever. Anyone can tell that that Satoshi guy made it some sort of spoof off of Kirby. This has affected me personally. People like to call me Jigglypuff, or Pikachu whenever I wear my Kirby shirt. No, Kirby is NOT a pokemon. Seriously, Jigglypuff isn't that cute either. It's eyes are friggin BIGGER than it's head!

But as for the other characters: I don't really care that Gannondorf and Captain Falcon have the same move set. I like Gannondorf, because he's powerful enough that one move executed properly does as much dammage as a final smash, yet unlike Capt. Falcon, Gannondorf is heavy enough that he doesn't launch himself off the stage doing it.

If anything, the only characters with the same move set worth worrying about is everybody from the Star Fox games. What is the difference between Fox, Falco, and Wolf asside from appearance? Let's just cut one, and bring in a better character or something.
