  Saeki and Aki moved back into the kitchen while the young man put on water for tea. When it was done he poured himself some green tea and put a bit of sugar in it. By now he was so used to Patrick asking for water that he poured a glass full of cold water, though he kept options open in case they would suddenly prefer to drink something else. He placed a third cup on the tray then poured the hot water into a Thermos Bottle so it would stay warm and added teabags on the tray alongside the Bottle before he picked it up and started to carry it to the main living room. Just before he turned the corner he could hear his boyfriend call out and the Asian smiled happily before he called back. "Hello Love, we’re right here." were his words as he walked further so he was soon in Patrick’s view giving them a bright smile, tray in hand. "Welcome back." he said to his lover and continued to the main living room where he placed the tray on the table next to the incense, yet far enough from the incense to avoid ash or smoke getting in it. "I got water as that is usually what you drink, but if you prefer tea today, I’ve got you covered." he spoke as he turned to his boyfriend and winked at them. ╔══════════════╗ Patrick subconsciously let out a sigh of relief as soon as he heard his dashingly handsome boyfriend voice. He realized that he was worried if something had happened to his boyfriend because the door was open and unlocked. Next he looked relieved once the other was in his line of view then he took off his shoes at the entry as per usual and slipped on a pair of slippers. “No doubt he looks fine and is hosting a guest” he thought as he moved forward. “Happy to be back, Saeki” he replied. He followed after him to the main living room. “Water is fine” he responded and blushed a little at the wink he received from him. "Should we wait another day to hug directly or is today safe enough?" he asked with a bashful smile on his face. Not being able to touch his boyfriend for a few days was much longer than what he had to bear when he had gone out of town for that art convention. The statue just wasn’t as good as the real person it was based off of. “I’ve brought the dessert and brewed drinks I’ve made back at my house. As for the main dish for dinner I’m cooking it here, that's what I’ll be doing in the kitchen” he said looking at the bag he was still carrying around.

Saeki was a little confused when he noticed the other looked relieved, but it didn’t last long as they soon after took off their shoes and grabbed a pair of slippers. The young man wondered what had caused it, but he didn’t ask. He just wanted to enjoy his time with his boyfriend right now. He, too, missed the intimacy of hugs and the like since he had gotten sick. But he was quite confident now that he was no longer contagious. The young man smiled at them happily as they joined him in the main living room and turned to them once he had safely placed the tray down. He chuckled hearing their question, it was cute they worried about that. Meanwhile Aki bolted out of the kitchen and ran to Patrick sniffing their leg before barking once and standing on his hindlegs and placing one paw on their arm in greeting. "I’m confident today is safe enough. I feel fine and have no symptoms anymore, except for catching up on some sleep from the nights that have been cut up." he replied and walked to them. His last few nights had been challenging as he hadn’t been able to sleep well from being ill. He slept all night, yes, but it wasn't as restful. When he reached Patrick he waited for them to be ready for that hug. He had missed this badly and was glad it was possible again. He listened to them about the meal and smiled as he looked at the bag. "You’re spoiling me sweetheart." he said with a light chuckle. ╔══════════════╗ Patrick waved lightly to the dog and looked down to him. "Good day, Aki" he greeted him and petted him softly on the head. Even on a ‘maybe’ he was willing to take the risk. "I hope your future rest will help with that and have sweet dreams" he said gently as he set the bag down on the table away from the drinks and incense. Didn’t wait another second in hugging his boyfriend after seeing the other male is ready to receive one. Wrapped both arms around his boyfriend’s waist into an intimate hug. Added a squeeze and lifted his partner up slightly off the floor for a few seconds. “I want to smother you as much love and care as possible” he responded with his mouth near Saeki’s collarbone. Let go reluctantly five seconds later finishing off the longest hug he participated in. “You always smell delightful, my dear boyfriend” he said softly. Eventually got around to taking the bag to the kitchen after drinking his glass of water and started preparing dinner. He had checked beforehand on ingredients that were available in the kitchen which is why bring any with him. Ate and drank what they had prepared for them both for dinner. Stayed late into the night before leaving to go home to his kittens.

This was a great day for Saeki. He got up early and like his usual ways had started his normal exercise again. He jogged around the park with Aki in the earliest hours of the morning, when the sun was still rising, then at home he practiced with the bo staff and the wooden katana before he finally stopped around 9am, cleaned up his training room and walked to the shower. Aki followed him as always. Saeki chuckled before he thought about it. He then decided to give Aki a shower as well and called the dog in. He had bought dog shampoo a while back already but never got to using it yet. Today was as good a day as any. Under the shower he first washed Aki before he let them move to the dry side of the bathroom and showered himself. Of course the dog made it a point to shake itself out causing the entire bathroom to be wet. Once he was done Saeki dried Aki first so they could leave the bathroom and then dried himself, with another towel of course. He bound a towel around his damp long hair before drying the rest of himself and getting dressed after which he was brushing Aki. His mobile went off just as he finished with combing his own hair and he smiled hearing it was Patrick’s ringtone. "Good morning my love. How is your morning so far? Did you have a great night's sleep?" Saeki answered the call. Of course he would love to spend the nights with Patrick as well. To wake up next to them in the morning, but that would be a great jump. And it would mean one of them had to move in with the other, not something Saeki saw happen very soon. But this worked just as well. "Oh, sorry to hear, love." Saeki replied when he heard they could have been better. "What is wrong?" he asked, now worried about his beloved. The conversation soon went to hanging out though. It sounded like a great idea! "I like the sound of that. And you can bring Hiro and Emerald too." Saeki replied with a light chuckle. They had so easily adapted to Aki in the family. Even though he was Saeki’s first pet ever. And of course Hiro and Emerald were part of the family as well, so they were always welcome. The young man was fond of them too, just as Patrick was. The conversation suddenly took a serious tone though and it was one that made Saeki feel anxious about what they wanted to talk about. Usually those words spelled bad news. "Of course, we can talk whenever hun." he replied, worried about the news he would get. Did someone get sick or even die? Was Patrick somehow unwell? Whichever it was, the Asian would be sure to support his boyfriend as well as he could. As he talked with Patrick, Saeki walked to the living room with Aki right behind him and sat down on a sofa. "Do you want me to come to your house, or meet at the park? ╔══════════════╗ Patrick wasn't going to let Kenzie stay at the lousy hotel on the beach front and it was still too awkward for the uptown hotel. Also he wanted him to save money while he was visiting for the third time so far. It wasn't a secret that they shared a bed last night, but he didn't think it was worth mentioning to Saeki before and after doing that. He blushed a little and smiled, "He has always been really good to me" he admitted. Being with his best friend does remind him that he went swimming in a pool after having taken two weeks worth of training, but that was like almost a year at this point. Leaving him pretty much rusty because he hadn't swam since that time with Kenzie and no confidence if he can do it anymore which was why had asked his boyfriend to teach him and the date of the lessons are still pending. At least it would serve as a good excuse as to why he hasn't attempted to swim together with Saeki. Also he has kept that a secret from Kenzie. He blushed a lot, “Oh, you...I’ll take you up on that offer then” he said smiling. He had brought up the possibility with his boyfriend, but it is even better when Kenzie gives out that offer himself. The man could be pretty good at being the wingman at times. He took out his phone and used it to call his boyfriend then wait for him to pick up so he can tell him that they are close by in the neighborhood. Even with how playful and flirty his business partner can be he hasn't yet to be embarrassed in being associated with him.

He understands that mentioning the last part was probably off-limits around Patrick's new partner. His last visit he met Patrick's first partner and despite the older male referring to it as a fling he knew full well how serious he was about the man. The aftermath of the break-up was a total mess with how mentally unstable Patrick was because of it. He hopes this one continues on, especially with how long it has been going which was way longer than the last one. "Can't wait to meet your amazing boyfriend, bro" he said playfully. He was told some things about the younger male back when those two were just friends that hung out a lot then occasionally hearing about him once they were officially a couple. He already knows what the boyfriend looks like from the shared photos and the statue that was sold during the art convention trip. “While I’m still in town, if you need some alone with your darling, Saeki, I could look after your precious kittens” he offered in a teasing way. “Of course you do. It would be foolish not to” he said, chuckling a little. He watched out for Hiro and Emerald while his buddy was on the phone. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛

Knowing that his boyfriend would bring a friend to the party, Saeki had been extra precise on his cleaning and he had been up for a while already. Of course his house was always meticulously clean, even with Aki in the house, but it was better than just waiting. He also knew that Kenzie was a dear friend of Patrick’s, so he did extra his best either way. Once he was done he walked Aki and took a shower. Now he sat in the living room, dressed in jeans and a black shirt waiting for the two to arrive. Aki was laying at his feet but his ears went up when Saeki’s phone went off. The young man smiled and picked up without even checking the number once more. "Goodmorning love, how is it going? Are you almost here?" he asked curiously. Of course he was eager to meet this Kenzie as much as they were to meet him. He glanced around at the decorations for Hiro’s party. Everything was paws or cat themed with garlands and table clothes. Even a whole playground for cats on one side where the young man made room. There were also some gifts in the corner for the feline, though of course those were as much for Emerald as Hiro. ╔══════════════╗ “Good morning sweetheart” Patrick greeted back on the phone. He felt a little self-conscious afterwards because he did that in Kenzie’s presence. Since he was feeling like this now he doesn't want to imagine what it will be like in the presence of Saeki’s family members. He assumed it was something to get used to over time as he gets comfortable around them. He wouldn’t want a setback with his social issues if he didn’t continue to push forward with the new social situation he had so far. “Things are going smoothly and we’re a couple of blocks away from your house. You can go ahead and open the door if you want. See you soon, Saeki” he answered a moment later. He hung up afterwards once he gave his boyfriend a chance to respond. Put away his phone to pick up the pace a bit. There was no one aside from Saeki that he is good friends with in his neighborhood and he didn’t care at this point for encounters so his sights remained on his boyfriend’s place as it came into view. If the front door was opened then the kittens were dashing inside the house racing each other. He stopped briefly and he has been asked this question before by his bro, but it isn’t easier to answer the second time around. “Yeah, there’s no denying that, but hopefully they would think I’m perfect enough for their son” he responded. “I will believe in that” he said with a nod of his head as they approached Saeki’s residence.

He got a look around the area since his last visit was a few months ago and he was looking for any changes. Of course, he wasn’t going to pass up an opportunity to check out any guys that could be his type. Pick up pace also so he doesn’t get left behind by Patrick, “You’re meeting the parents for the first time, right? Feeling nervous about that?” he asked, curious about the answer. “No such thing as perfection, but I’m sure you will do well getting accepted by them” he reassured Patrick. ┗━━━━━━━━━┛
