Selina entered the temples unannounced. She moved into an aisle and took a seat. Her divine eye opened and she closed her eyes. She prayed for her friend Kaguya, the first one she met since traveling on her own. She prayed for Toso, the man who reinstated her. She prayed for Kenshin, her wisest and closest male friend. She prayed for Ada, her kindness and most earnest friend. She prayed for X and Adaโs teammates, and their family dynamic. Finally, she prayed for Kojiro, the boy of destiny. She prayed in silence for the calm before the storm.

It was time. Selina's divine eye sensed Sandayu as he approached the fake village below the real one. She saw the raw, natural energy he was composed of. It frightened her. The vast power she sensed was... infinite. This was not a shinobi, this was a god. However, she had a job to do. Wind chakra molded around her as she finished her handseals. Kenshin was already moving toward the target, and Selina would not delay either. The young woman flew out of the temple and toward the thread aimed to destroy the village.

__Blood still pumping furiously it took Nohea a moment to calm herself before she leaped at Belamos once more. Or perhaps calm wasn't exactly the word, as rather 'redirected' fit in place better. The little girl's body shook excitedly the moment Belamos mentioned there was foes at the gates. Was it normal for ones mouth to water at such a prospect? Perhaps not for a normal human girl. All this was stopped cold however, as Belamos held out that single silver chain to her. Large grey eyes locked on the chain links like an animal catching sight of it's prey. To say that she had been caught off guard would be an enormous understatement, she was a nobody and yet this man and girl so easily accepted her so soon? They hadn't even asked for any favors or demanded something in return! It might have seemed silly sounding to someone else but these were things she had come to expect from relationships with others. There were always supposed to be strings attached and thus was Nohea confused when she couldn't find any.
Purposefully shifting she that her hair would fall over her eyes and cover her expression, the shark quickly snatched the chain from Belamos's hand out if fear he might came to his senses and retract his offer. It was a long pause before the shark whispered a soft. "Thank you." For better or for worse she was a Karna now and she would make sure the name survived well into the future. As for right now? Well right now there was an army whose sole mission was to make sure both that name and everyone she had come to care about didn't have a future.
The annoying buzz of sirens filled the air while Nohea clipped the chain around her neck and went to retrieve her blade. "I guess you're going to fight with whoever their leader is? If there's no other battle plan I'm off to go meet whatever bulk force they have." Looking back to Aurelia, Nohea fidgeted uncomfortably while she tried to figure out how to express her emotions. "Are you going with.. d-dad? Please be careful."

Her balls of destruction were just about to hit Belamos though Aurelia had a feeling he had something in store for them. He flash stepped out of the way as the explosion of dry air rocked the spot he had been occupying so long ago. She pouted but would come down to find that her father stood atop a pillar of blinding light, speaking to the two of them as it was time for the battle to come to a head. Kogarashi had drawn near and Aurelia was very certain she would be standing by her father in driving them off. Before that though, he would give his gifts to the both of them. For her, a possible chance at becoming a Chuunin.
For Nohea though, it was something much more than a simple title. He extended an offer of joining the Karna line, which surprised her but probably not as much as the girl herself. Aurelia smiled at Nohea and that cute little hesitation she had upon accepting the gift. She roamed over and would go to congratulated her newest sibling while then nodding in response to her question. "That's the plan so far. Don't worry, I'll make sure Dad stays safe. Good luck out there, sis."

Had been listening closely, a part of him felt a fool for asking for her help without even having such a basic thing figured out. He let out a huff, only to feel a shiver run down his spine. As the sirens blared the message that Belamos already knew he sighed at the inevitability of the imminent bloodshed. Looking down at his daughter...no, daughters now, he nodded to them "Assist our forces in the countryside. I will see to their leaders" He gave them each a long look as if trying to memorize their features. He opened his mouth as if to say something but seemed to stop, deciding to instead offer them his support "You both are stronger than you know. Go on, do your duty." As the girls left Belamos vanished himself, headed for the largest battle of his life.
SHIONxxxxxMORI Shion didn't slack off for those five years. In fact, she did a lot of training; roughly 25 free learning posts worth of training. She trained in Taijutsu, bukijutsu, even a little ninjutsu. Oh, she also became besties with her demon or something like that. Not besties, cause Toso is still around, but they're pretty damn close.

As they walked through the temples Kenshin would descend down a long set of stone steps before arriving at the base of the canyon. Hopefully, the others were following along. A handful of temples were revealed by his Byakugan but others were still brimming with interference. He turned back to face the other two finally and spoke. "The main temple of Evergreen is still under heavy sensory interference. We need to raid that place to find the kidnapped vigilante and the corrupt officers. They've brought shame on the force." Kenshin shook his head scornfully before continuing. "Once Selina and Kaito arrive we can attack. I hesitate to use violence in the Mother's sacred temple but will if my duty demands it." Kenshin now waited for their responses as well as the arrival of the others.

A burst of flower petals materialized Selina and Kaito. The petals formed into the two of them as they stood in front of Kenshin, Obei, and Hajime. With the path in front them dim except the faint illumination in the far distance, there was no doubt that Kenshin found for them where the enemy was located. After all, the man was a world class detective. Still, she felt nervous at the lack of information she was getting from her sensory skills. This all seemed a bit too easy. "I don't like this Ken. I think I should go first in case if it's a trap. My ninjutsu provides me with the best manners of escape, and if it gets too dangerous then the rest of you can make a quick rescue." She said softly, fearing that the hallways would echo their plans if they spoke too loud. Though she was not keen on going alone, she knew that her abilities provided her the best probably of getting in and out alive. If everyone went down and they sprung a trap, it would be impossible to predict from the group who had the skills to dodge it, versus who would get ensnared and be gravely wounded.

Kaito appeared beside Selina, briefly comforted by the sight of flower petals that weren't all his own. Then he re-centered on the mission. He needed Avalanche back at any cost. "Shouldn't we all go? If we go one at a time, it gives them the chance to focus all of their resources on each person, whereas entering as a group allows us to split up while dividing their resources, and we can search for Avalanche at the same time we're avoiding any attacks." He offered his two cents but naturally let his gaze fall to Kenshin, who he presumed was taking lead on the mission since he was the captain.

Hajime had followed Kenshin this far, with Obei at his side. When they arrived in the canyon, he turned to listen to the Captain, Kenshin. "In this case I believe your Goddess would forgive you. They are tresspassing in her domain to most likely cause harm to an innocent. I say we get down there and bust some heads." Haji told Kenshin, hands proceeding to move down and draw both of his blades. At this time petals seemed to blow in, a huge amount of them, forming two columns that would soon transform into Selina and Kaito. Hajime recognized the kid from his fight with the very same person they were searching for. "Oh, its you?" He asked himself before hearing Selina offer to be the 'Cannon Fodder' "Nooope! I can't call myself a man if I let you go down there alone, plus Curly here has the right idea if ya ask me." If it wasn't obvious to Kenshin, Hajime took after Belamos a lot. He would rather charge in and fight then be strategic. That and he was really showing it up for Obei, but that was neither here no there.

The Temple certainly had intrigued Obei. She had never really been here all that much ever since coming a short time ago, mainly being afraid to reflect on the past in the event some person asked her why she was here and offered her guidance. But now that she had actually set foot here, it was kind of neat. Obei trudged along behind Kenshin and Hajime, the lone third cog of the group for obvious reasons. Kenshin explained that the temple of Evergreen had a special enchantment present, which made sensory techniques all but moot while inside. While it might not affect Obei, she couldn't help but worry about Selina and how she might be in the crossfire here. It was was just one more thing that she would have to take account of when all was said and done. Obei wasn't too keen if a goddess would forgive a fight in a sacred place but she seemed pretty relaxed enough when they first met her. "Obei not know. Gods confuse. Very confuse." she put simply while two pairs of feet came to life near them.
Selina and Kaito arrived in the former's elegant entrance as always. It must have felt weird to have your body break apart into petals, something Obei found fascinating but also incredibly terrifying if something went wrong. A plan was schemed together by the hour shinobi as Obei listened like the good battering ram of destruction she was. When Selina volunteered to go first, the oni would shoot her a worried look along with a childish pout. Haji also offered to step up to the plate to be the sacrificial lamb, netting him a very worried look from their pale friend as well.
"Obei go first with." She spoke with some authority. "Obei good shield. Protect Suh-Lee-Nuh. Not use Obei jutsu anyway. Not want to hurt temple." If this was some kind of test, then it was clearly a bit of a handicap for the girl. She was unable to use the majority of her clan's jutsu and would be stuck with hyoton techniques until they stepped out of the building. Of course, Obei would look away to hide that red tint to her cheeks every now and again but turned to Kenshin with a determined look on her face.
"Obei follow Ken-Shin orders."

__ He had to agree with Hajime's assessment of the situation in the temple. He was essentially a templar of Evergreen at this point and violence would be necessary at times. Kenshin raised an eyebrow at Selina's overly flashy entrance before shaking his head at her idea. Before speaking he listened to what the others in the group had to say. Kaito and Hajime clearly disagreed with Selina's idea as well. Obei's simplistic language usage was understandable only if he paid close attention to discerning the...mountain giant accent? No matter, it was time for him to weigh in. "I agree..." The Sannin said contemplatively as he allowed the tension to hang in the air before continuing. "With Kaito and Hajime. You're not permitted to enter the temple alone, Officer Rosewater. If we're walking in blind then splitting up will only weaken us further." The captain now faced all of the members of his team. At this point, it seemed to be a matter of simply expecting the unexpected or an ambush. "When we raid the big temple there are bound to be complications. Kaito, your focus needs to be on finding and grabbing Avalanche even if you have to tackle them. Obei, I'm sure you can muscle your way through the perps with Asuhara and Rosewater. My main focus will be on keeping all of you safe and then rounding up the subdued criminals. We must all remain flexible in our operations nonetheless." Kenshin knew that this was going to be disorderly but rushing in like it was open season would only increase the odds of mission failure. "Are there any questions before we move in?" He waited for them to speak up if there were concerns about the plan.

Selina was surprised for Kaito to speak up. She sensed the boy's determination, but she also knew that he was in a bit of trouble because of the incident in the residential district. For him to speak his mind showed that he was here to contribute. Furthermore, when Hajme spoke up about chivarly and not allowing a lady to go alone, she felt herself blush slightly. She did not think of it in that context, mostly because she never really thought of herself as someone who needed protection. Finally, when Obei offered to volunteer herself anyhow, it truly sunk into Selina's head how reckless her words were. If anything happened to Obei then Selina would never forgive herself. Obei was her sweet, delicate friend. She could not allow Obei to be in danger just as much as she couldn't allow herself to be in a position where Obei needed to be in danger to rescue her. Thankfully Kenshin directed them to a unified goal, and Selina felt confident in the three of their ability to disarm any threat by themselves.
"Right. On three then." Selina said with a break to calm herself.
"One." She said as she readied her legs.
"Two." She muttered as she extended her hidden sensory fog throughout the cavern. Although the majority of the place was still protected by anti-sensory technology, once they got down there she would have better use for it.
"Three!"
The group rushed down the hallway and into an open room. Selina's eyes widen as the walls were lined with various tin soldier units similar to the R.E.A.C.H robot her and Kameyo dealt with five years prior. Her sensory powers indicated that nature chakra was being poured into all thirty six robots. "What in the world?" She asked briefly before it was too late. Out of the shadows the puppeteer Kenshin tracked down appeared. His hand rose and four bodies materialized in the moment of a thought. The bodies performed seals and erected a rectangular structure around Kenshin, Selina, Hajime, Obei, and Kaito. Because of the coordination of the four, it would take the ability to dodge four S+ ranked techniques. Selina's sensory allowed her to leap and roll just before being trapped in the trap. While it was possible that none of them would get trapped, even if they did as long as they did not strike at the walls of the gate they were fine. The bodies could not move once the move was set up, so all it could do was bind the people which got caught by it. Regardless of who got caught and who didn't, the four puppets and their barrier also posed a blockage to the exit. This was an intentional trap.
"I'm glad you made it Kenshin. The reunion wouldn't be complete without you." Gonzo chanted as he stood at the far end of the hall. His right arm was raised and in his hand was a rapier blade which was pointed right at the neck of Avalanche. The bound vigilante had their hands above their head tied by rope, and their feet dangled just slightly above the ground. Their head was down as though they were unconscious or dead. Given the threat Gonzo expressed, it was clear that he thought the masked one was still alive. Behind the man was a board which expressed a digital rendition of the purple iris with rings throughout it. "And Selina too. It figures since two originally stood against him that you two will be the first he fights again once he returns to this world. All I need is the corrupted nature chakra from this freak's seal, and then he will have a body once more." Gonzo chanted triumphantly. Selina's eyes noticed Avalanche, but something seemed off about them. Once her sensory kicked in, she subtly motioned to Kenshin to use his byakugan to process the same thing that she picked up.
The puppeteer stood on top of the ceiling as one hand manipulated the four puppets necessary. If Kaito was trapped by the prison, or if he just noticed along the right wall in the line of the robot men, there was a twinge of blue. Kenshin's eyes would notice them as well, which would infer his actions going forward. Although the chakra scent was nonexistent, there was more to the situation than met the eye.

Kaito's anxiety was alleviated as the group calmly collaborated by throwing in their opinions, though Kenshin took all of this in and established a quick plan. Kaito had no qualms and nodded curtly at the proposition, glad he was assigned the repossession of Avalanche. He wasn't sure he could obey a plan that didn't put him directly in the vigilante's path. He wasn't sure what he was going to see, entering that room... if he could stand to bear what had happened to his unlikely roommate.
Charging into the room, they were assaulted by a cage attack. Kaito noticed Selina dodging in the instant before he also jumped out of the way, though he was clumsier and flopped on the ground roughly. His struggled to get his bearings for a moment and stared at the rightmost wall to eye the robots - were those things really active? He frowned as his gaze returned to the center, actually seeing the presumed mastermind of all of this-
Avalanche. They were tied up and helpless, and a fierce emotion gripped his heart at the sight. "Avalanche!" He screamed aloud, stupidly, as if it could bring the vigilante to consciousness. "You b*****d!" His face scrunched up in anger as he forgot much of his tactical training, forgot to keep up his poise and stature as an officer of the law, forgot his sense. He locked eyes on the man holding a rapier to his friend's throat and launched himself in the air so he could close the distance and drop his leg on the terrorist.
