Valerie purred and nuzzled against the black panther and nibbled on his shoulder for a moment before nuzzling and purring turned into more energtic and playful as she felt some attraction to the man beside her. She wasnt aware that being near an alpha male like Aoeros and her natural instincts were taking over and she wanted to be near him and to have him attracted to her. While it seemed that he was playful with her was that all he was interested in? "Is that a bad thing? I like you Aoeros and Im starting to think being with you wouldnt be such a bad thing."

Jasper felt himself stiffen as Kass called to him, but he slowed down nonetheless. The servant was so relieved that the other man only seemed to have stopped him to bid goodnight, enough to allow himself to be turned around. The kiss was a bit of a surprise.

Jasper barely heard Kass's last words of parting as he stood stock still in the middle of the balls entryway. But slowly the white haired man's hand made his way up to his mouth and a small smile formed. Maybe Jasper had something more to look forward to in the future after all. At the very least the ball didn't turn out so bad.

With that Jasper finally left.

Jade couldn't say anything about anyone else's clothes. At least none of the other guests looked like butlers. "If you can find one person who's luck is worse than mine, I'll buy your drinks for a whole night if you're ever in Ilmatar. But, I promise you that no one will come even close unless they carry a curse worse than mine." He felt bad for any poor soul that had something worse than the Fortune's Scourge hanging over them. "Ha! You're not a sore sight yourself!" Whether the guy was flirting with Jade or not really didn't matter. It opened a chance, and Jade took it; when opportunities came knocking, he learned to let them in right away before they were gone.

Jade tilted his head a bit. It was just a cloak, wasn't it? How much could he possibly sell it for? He was curious, but didn't pry. With his luck, he could be talking to some master thief and get caught up in his shenanigans if he pried too much. The blond laughed when his words were used on him and he couldn't help but relax. "Well, it's one of the best quirks to have! Better to have a habit of helping people than having one that makes you hurt them."

Valerie had done a complete turn around now that they were alone. She was being playful and her purring was loud and confident. Not to mention she was talking confidently, too. Was that because they weren't surrounded by people that had once enslaved her? "Not bad. Just adorable and alluring in it's own special way." It sounded like the garden had done all the work for him; Valerie's confession had implied that staying with him would be a good thing. He bumped his head to hers, the act causing him to catch whiff of a peculiar scent that caused his pupils to contract into slits. It wasn't strong or definite, and would likely fade soon, but being around an alpha like him was having a larger effect than he'd thought he would. Not surprising since she hadn't been around other shifters before. "Then, would you come with me if I asked? Or, do I still need to steal you away?"

Chell was a bit confused by Rina's whispering, but she discovered her meaning as she spotted a young man coming their way. Ooh! Someone interesting! She hadn't seen him before, which was good for a fresh start. He wasn't too bad in the looks department, either. As long as didn't say something like "hey, aren't you the weirdo with the pet lobster?", she'd be content. As Rina introduced them to the boy, Chell gave him a bright smile. "Hi there! I haven't seen you before, I don't think. Is this your first time at one of these parties?" She began, trying to break the ice a bit.

Yue gave a small smile and bowed. "It is a pleasure to meet you, princess Rinalia and Lady Chell. My name is Yue. I am a wanderer from Ventiaus." He spoke in a now gentle voice unlike earlier's hoarse one and straightened up to looked at Chell. "Indeed, this is my first time coming to such events."

Although he sounded fine, Yue is quite confused. He didn't miss the smile the princess sent to her friend and made him wonder if the girls are up to something. He didn't think too much about it though. "You both look lovely tonight" He said and looked at the side. He couldn't think of anything to say next to the girls.

Jade blinked and looked down at himself. Really? Huh. It must have been a matter of perspective. He himself wasn't too fond of the outfit. "If you say so. I guess all that matters is if someone else finds me attractive. No one's here to please themselves. Well, I'm not anyway." A dance would be great, though. No use being a ball if you just glue yourself to a flower, and with friendly company like Kass, who wouldn't want to dance? "Charm isn't everything, but I appreciate the generosity." He could definitely turn the guy down if he wanted, but why would he want to? Jade waited for Kass to set his cloak down, almost bouncing with how giddy he was to be doing something other than standing around. When his new friend returned, Jade smirked and took his offered hand. "Will you be leading the dance?" Who led wasn't really his concern, of course, but someone had to if they didn't want to step on each others' feet.
