Though perhaps that rage that fueled him was a double edged sword, for it blinded him too. His saw failed to strike true this turn, but there was always the next, and the next, and the next. His enthusiasm would prove relentless yet.

Still kicking butt and taking names. Except there's really only one name to get. And she already knows it.

“Odette, huh?” Kursha grunted, parrying another blow. He never lost his smile but inwardly felt exasperated. If she could form complete sentences without wheezing, then she was not fighting hard enough. Seriously. She needed to get her s**t together. It was no wonder she was in so much trouble. Kursha struck his opponent on the jaw with the butt of his rifle, releasing some of his frustration through combat. He nearly missed, just grazing his chin. Nice.

“Yeah, real pleasure,” he panted. “We'll have to—” Oops! He nearly took one to the chest. Time to buckle down and pay attention. If he cracked his ribs again, he was down for the count. “... Catch up later,” he finished, side-stepping another attack.

Kursha does 1 damage.

Rasali steeled herself. Chickening out during the trek across Old Hemisect had gotten her nowhere. Giving up now wouldn't do her any better. The adrenaline mixed with the unpleasant memories resulted in a vicious downward swing from Rasali that connected with a very unfortunate troll.

Rasali does 4 damage.

SkinkDad's HP: 34

While not nearly as impressive as his last round of blows, still the hissbeast managed to thwack the axe wielding menace with his tail as he recoiled away from the adult.

Her mind, her very being, was throbbing-- she couldn't think properly. Where were Odette and Athene? Milieu-- Stryke? Her companions... Where were they?! She'd caugh glimpses of them, but it wasn't anything like actually seeing them and being sure they were alright...

Zeffer dealt 8 DMG

With her followers gone, Zeffer was finally able to get a hit in on the orangeblooded b***h herself. Shoving through the crowd, he waited a moment until he could see the glint of her axe, and the orange on her clothes, before closing in. He laughed as he stabbed his batons into her side before darting away again, narrowly avoiding a swipe of her axe as she tried to retaliate. She might have had the scarier weapon, but she was much slower for it, and it was simple work to dance in and out of range.

Any questions regarding battle mechanics should be asked in the main guild thread.
**RULE CHANGE: For this boss battle only, a child's lusus will be allowed to participate in the half hour rolls using a 1d4.**

Amidst the chaos, Errade seems to have disappeared, and no one's quite certain where she slipped off to. It doesn't take long, though, before she reappears from behind a cluster of stalagmites, carrying a plain, grey sack she didn't have with her before. A twisted smile spreads across her scarred face as she retrieves what looks like grenades from the sack. Behind her, even more supporters slip from the shadows, allowing her time to take cover once more. Just what you needed.

SUPPORTERS HP: 100/100
Even more supporters crawl out of the woodwork! Take them down to continue damaging Errade.

If you rolled a 1, Errade pulls a grenade from her newly acquired bag and lobs it in your general direction. The impact of its explosion nearby is enough to do some damage. 4, to be exact.
If you rolled a 2, when you get too close, a supporter takes a swing at you. They're older, skilled, and one with the weapon, their movements appear almost effortless. They hit you, sending you flying backwards for 3 damage.
If you rolled a 3, it seems like the smoke bombs from earlier just weren't enough- now Errade's pulling flash bombs, too! One goes off nearby and it's practically blinding, leaving you stumbling around into your friends around you. You take 2 damage, and deal no damage this turn.
If you rolled a 4, you're able to dodge out of range of an exploding grenade, thankfully avoiding any residual effects besides a slight ring in your sponge clots. Take no damage.
If you rolled a 5, a grenade lands nearby, but doesn't go off. You're not sure if it's a dud, but you quickly grab it and toss it away, just in case, and it happens to nail a supporter. Nice shot! Gain +1 accuracy to each roll until the next round.
If you rolled a 6, when you're charging in for an attack, the opponent readies their weapon, but doesn't notice that the explosions have knocked lose some fresh debris. As they stumble, you take your chance and swoop in for the hit, taking no damage in the meantime.

Zeffer dealt 8 DMG

Zeffer was wheeling around for a repeat attack when the noise in the room seemed to swell again. A look of surprised crossed his face as more of Errade's followers found their way in, and he snarled in frustration, instantly shoving several aside as they swarmed into the fight. The bodies and injured were already starting to build up on the floor, and along the fringes of the room. He only noticed such for a split second, as he fought to get closer toward their main threat.

Unfortunately, it seemed Errade was eager to dole out some payback for the small beat down they had laid on her, after vanquishing her first wave of followers. Zeffer only saw glimpses of her as the hooded adults threw themselves to attack, but he was almost certain of what he'd seen her doing. "GET DOWN!!!" His voice carried up over the crowd, and he turned to throw himself to the side. Even that couldn't save him, and the blast was enough to toss nearby trolls away, and grievously injure many of them. Zeffer had narrowly avoided death, but the blood gushing from the new wounds on his face and arms was proof that he hadn't come out completely unscathed.

Even as his ears rang from the thunderous explosion, he was still intent on bashing the dissenter's heads in. The battle was getting too heated to let up yet, and he struggled to remain upright, his batons rattling out an unending crackle as they connected with his unfortunate foes.

Whatever string of luck Athene had was gone, as a flash grenade went off near her. She blinked at the brightness, stumbling back and taking a particularly hard hit from something. Nothing to do until it cleared.

Sight was not Muerte's forte, not necessarily. Though his other senses were keen enough to make up for it, they all seemed lackluster whenever the flash bombs erupted around him, sending his vision white and bleary. Stumbling into a warm body nearby, the greenblood muttered a quick profanity as he lost his balance and tripped to the floor, knocking his somewhat battered body on nearby debris. Son of a b***h.

He struggled to regain his composure, already back to his feet, the pain dull through his anger.

Oh goddamnit. It was like the very thought of Old Hemisect summoned bombs to the battlefield. Rasali was almost too exasperated to feel scared.

Emphasis on "almost" as Rasali jumped aside with a squeak as a grenade went sailing past her. It couldn't be a good idea to be throwing these things inside a cave!

It wasn't as though Rasali needed more incentive to knock out Errade and her supporters. Rasali looped one of the traitors with her chain and used the proximity to headbutt them in the jaw. It wasn't like her head was going to hurt any less that fight.

Rasali deals 6 damage.

Vremea dealt 0 damage.

Vremea honestly believed that this day could not get any worse. Then Errade had to go and pull out the flash bombs. One of them nearly hit her chest, but by some random stroke of faith, they... Bounced off. What?! How?!?! In her stupor, she hadn't realized she was still close to it, and ended up being blinded and deafened by the explosion. Great. Again. AGH!

SkinkDad's HP: 34

SkinkDad noticed the grenade being lobbed, just about the time it left the hands of the enemy. Scampering away from t he intended drop point he used the opportunity to lash out at a supporter as he went. When the booming sound went off, while jumpy no adverse effects came his way save a ringing in his sponge clots.

Stryke held his head, the pounding in his thinkpan was nearly unbearable. The bombs made him shake with raw terror. The sound of ringing echoed in his sponge clots. It was one thing to deal with the smoke bombs..another for live grenades to be going off.

Stryke's lusus takes no damage and deals 2 damage!
