Eunomia let out a derisive snort that was more or less meant to be an agreement with Iris, although that bitchy purple cat's tone didn't sit well with her either, especially since they looked to be the same age, and Eunomia had an ever so slight authority problem.
********* talking to Irene brought her attention to the shifting senshi in purple braids and made a slightly overly familiar gesture of ruffling the smaller girl's bangs and trying not to seem too overly enthusiastic about what the Asteroid team leader was saying.
She did nod, a bit, though.
"I don't think I want to go back to that creepfest of my own asteroid period, much less for forever. I'm an Earth girl, thanks. Besides, I'll be damned if I'm going to just leave my dad and little sister in this pit full of starseed gankers to fend for themselves," She said, throwing her cards in with Iris and Polaris. She still recalled the older nega that was prowling around her bakery at closing time. He didn't hesitate to say he'd kill them both for fun, and then there were the youma in December that nearly killed them all. Her experiences skewed her perception more to the 'fight 'em with all you've got' side of the argument. And retreating? That was just silly.

At Zirconia's rebuttal, as well as Polaris' strange, powered down stance, what else could Tsui do but raise her hands, a classic 'have it YOUR way' manner, and she sat back down. She wasn't keeping quiet because she was convinced, but simply because Polaris had seemed so adamant about moving the topic back onto the knights. She made her own point, and she let the others know who she was and what her stance was. And in the end, that's more than they either needed to know, or cared to know.
She had no idea how much her words had offended Polaris, as they were more geared towards herself than to anyone else here, but it was clear to Tsui that whatever she said now would be stepping over her boundaries. And Tsui just didn't feel like dealing with that mess tonight, not when she was both outnumbered, and probably outmatched.
'It's not like I'll be seeing half this lot outside of this meeting anyway,' Tsui thought rather bitterly to herself. With a group as unorganized as this one, that seemed to be treating the 'corrupted' like they were nothing more than sickly, parasite ridden humanoids, it was likely that she'd never see any of them again. 'So much for the side of Order and good, if their initial reaction is to deflect all attempts of peace.'
This didn't stop Tsui from thinking to herself, plotting, preparing for what she would do once this meeting was over with. There was much to consider for the Tiger senshi, but she suspected one truth. That she might be alone in her stance, and for a solitary hunter, maybe she had to be.
"Now, what's all this about the Knights and Aspects? Anything to keep us from beating a dead horse?"

"Knights are what Negaverse officers are meant to be without chaos!" yelled Babylon from the back of the room, as if Tsui's question was the one thing he was confident he could actually answer. "We're aligned to Wonders, which are like, locations out in space? Cities and temples and parks and whatever I'm not gonna get specific because seriously it's not exclusive?" He amended planets to space right before he said it, just because of the Cosmos knight's explanation of his wonder. Just let someone try to split hairs with him - he wasn't in the mood for any kind of Tumblr Social Justice Warrior Antics.
"So, like, I'm Babylon Knight of Mercury?" Because it was easiest to just use himself as an example, not because he was trying to pull rank. "Babylon's my wonder and Knight is my Rank and Mercury is the planet I serve."
"Knights have weapons. They're really useless when you start out and get slightly less useless when you power up, the perk being that we get magic, but it's not as strong as whatever you Senshi are packing and have you ever tried to fight a Youma with a glowstick? Because it sucks." Spoken from experience, of course.
"We're Order aligned." Which was just stating the obvious, really.

Victoria was watching all this go down and eventually muttered a "Damn it's hot in here." He looked around "Seriously I think this heat is making everyone cranky."
He watched as ********* asked to be picked up by Irene. That was probably a good call just in case. "We need a breeze in here."
----
Hug-bell gave the tiger senshi a frown as she seemed to not understand anything her or Zerconia had just said... well actually it seemed the senshi was pretty bent on agreeing with them but fighting them all the same.
It was pretty confusing and Hug-bell was almost ready to resort to some mix of colorful language she'd learned from her parents and their hoity-toity business words and Iris' less than stellar language. However she didn't really, just wanted to..... Her attention was caught by another knight though one that explained he thought other stars or whatever with princesses had knights. "If that's the case, why have we never heard of Princess Saturn or Princess Earth? I mean we know Cosmos..... but I've never seen or heard of these other princesses....."
-----
Niflhel was still just sitting there staring at the crowd; mostly in a ******** with me I dare you mood. His face actually didn't hide it. Bimini had taken care of the child's question and Niflhel watched with interest. It was when someone mentioned Aspects that he finally sighed and stood up off his perch at the edge of the stage. "Sorry dear...." He added, not having gotten permission from her earlier since things derailed quickly but he was willing to answer it. "So... while I'm not sure what all the Aspects are..... or what they do. I am aware of that belonging to Saturn Knights."
He was holding his hands behind his back, standing in almost a military at ease stance. "Saturn's aspect appears to allow us better stealth. Helpful when trying to gather information sans the energy signature we give off."
There was a moment of thought, "Truth be told I'm unaware of what stage this is accessible by, since I was a knight already when I learned about the aspects. I'm sure you can find more out about this by visiting your planet if you're a knight."
There was a terse moment where he looked around unsure of actually 'showing off'... "If anyone would like I can provide a demonstration of this power, again I am only a Saturn Knight, other aspects I expect will be different."

"I agree with Iris," Acubens interjected. "We're not the senshi we remember when we go back to those ghost planets. We're who we are now. Civilians who just so happen to have been throw into this crazy war. In the end, this is where we're going to stay. I know my big goal is to eventually never have to power up again..." She shrugged, pulling her cell phone out of twilight space to scan the aforementioned senshi. She gently touched her chest, where the scar from the youma still ached now and again. "Never have to power up again..." She wondered, not for the first time, if Alexij still felt the ache of his own wound.
"Besides that, though, all I've got to go on as far as knights is Megiddo, who's just as new as I am... I don't have a single clue what's going on with them as a matter of alignment. I mean... not chaos but... they seem to be different form senshi in a fundamental way. And I don't mean like senshi's are not knights kind of way but... on a deeper, motivational level, you know? Someone give me a little hint, how about?" Another goofy grin as Acubens bounced on her toes.
It was Tomlin's sudden appearance on her shoulder that made her jump a little. "Well, I seem to be a fuzz ball magnet tonight, eh?"

"I ain't from another planet either," Troy Page rose. "Name's Ricky Cunningham." Er... "Aw, ********. Name's Troy Page of Chronos." He scratched the back of his head. If he were one of those Japanese animation fellers, he'd have a giant bead of sweat dropping down his head at this moment.
"I protect the Surroundin' and that's not a planet. Or, I don't think its a planet. I know Pluto ain't a planet anymore so don't know if that was added to one or...," he paused. He really shouldn't be speaking in public. Maybe not even in private. He eyed a fellow Chronos Knight among the crowd. "Er, Concordia, wanna take over from here?"
He sat back down in shame.

Sessrumnir grinned to himself. "Show and tell time? How quaint."
Of course, he didn't bother showing off his aspect because people would just b***h about how he was being loud and obnoxious and trying to upstage everyone who was trying to upstage everyone else. As amusing as it would be to be able to effectively talk over everyone, he was trying his best not to be a douche, surprisingly.
Oh please, no show and tell. "For the love of..." he mumbled to himself and lifted a hand to rub at his temples. This was going to be such a long night.
"It might be because they haven't been awakened or reborn yet," Valhalla offered to Hugbell with a small smile. "Everyone knows that senshi are reborn from past lives, right? Knights are too. Well... Some of us are reborn, some of us are just descended from whoever lived in the past."
There was a time he was convinced that knights were all just descended from their past's namesake, but visiting his own wonder he got to experience memories that only he would have known about. There was no wise old man to guide him along the way. Just some magic green light and a grumpy boy with long hair and olive eyes.

Though she hadn't had the 'pleasure' of patrolling with her fellow Chronos page Troy yet, she most definately recognized his very distinctive voice and speech pattern.
Turning to see him her eyes had widened in happy surprise to see one of her own, but that happy surprise soon became mortification as he offered her up. In front of all these people. Like a million people.
"Oh I um..." The knight legitimately squeaked as she tried to form words, moving quickly closer to Troy, who towered over her like a monster in both height and weight.
"We are Chronos knights. For umm.. Princess Chronos... and the Surrounding.."
Was that enough? Please don't let too many people be looking at her. Sinking into her hood once more, she seemed to cower near Troy. Why did he do that to her!?

"Oh!" Irene had been so focused on the discussion- if one could call it that- that ********* request startled her. It was a bit of a relief to have something else to do, though, so she picked ********* up and felt around for the right spot. "Here?" she asked, tucking one finger around the cat's left ear and scratching gently. "Or more towards the center?"
At least she was useful for something, even if it was just keeping their guardian comfortable. Irene wasn't sure if that was a comforting thought.
When Eunomia ruffled her hair, Irene made a mock pout at her. It only lasted about three seconds before she began to giggle, but the giggles began to peter out almost as soon as they'd started. "Can you keep up?" she whispered, wondering how the older senshi was faring. She seemed to have more opinions on what people were talking about, but that didn't mean she necessarily understood everyone else's, which was what Irene was more concerned with. How could they try to reach common ground without understanding each other first?
"I'm not sure I can handle this," she confided, switching to scratching ********* other ear.
The subject of knights was an interesting one for Aquarius. She knew that they existed, and had met some at the Surrounding, but knew almost nothing about them. Even the existence of Chronos Knights was something of a mystery to her. If Chronos Knights protected Chronos and the Surrounding, then what did the rest of them do? Not for the first time, Aquarius felt rather out of touch, and out of sync with the other Zodiacs. Considering how much time she had spent avoiding them, it was hardly surprising, but it was disheartening nonetheless.
"Eh, who needs 'em," she muttered to herself. She was doing fine on her own. Sort of. Still, there was no need to be impolite, so she stood still and listened during Troy and Concordia's brief (and error-filled) introduction, and flashed a brief, awkward smile. Then it was back to work, with observations and recordings, before the people started to drive her nuts again.

Soon enough a cat was airborne, then tucked away within the safety of Irene's arms. Though she was still concentrating, she was able to allow a stray purr or two to escape her to let the dark haired girl know she appreciated her efforts.
"If you could go more to the center and work your way out, that'd be great... soooo much appreciated!"
However, when the girl voiced her uncertainties about the contents being discussed, the feline offered some advice. "Be patient and just take it all in. We can discuss the details about this later if you'd prefer... in a slightly less chaotic environment." The feline carefully offered the girl's gloved arm a small nudge of reassurance.
It was tense, but the small animal knew the girl could persevere.

Getting onto the topic of Knights had done a lot to get Tsui's mind off of matters, and now she was legitimately interested in the topic. Once again, her inexperience showed and she felt nothing as far as a damaged pride to admit this; she may have been a Senshi for a few months now, but she knew only what she had encountered, and she never really had a single mentor to sit down and tell her, well, ANYTHING. Besides, Tsui was more of a hands-on learner than a verbal one, and she was eager to see some sort of demonstration.
"So, Pages don't necessarily have a planet, but a place called the Surrounding to protect? As well as other Princesses, is that right?" Tsui said to the one that had practically mumbled something about Princess Chronos, and she hoped it wasn't taken as a chastising or aggressive manner, though she was prepared with an apology if they took it that way. "And they are our allies, yes?"
What especially caught Tsui's interest was the fact that they had weapons. Weak as they may be when they started, but there was always a way to work around with weapons. Prisoners used the most outlandish and defenseless items all the time to make deadly weapons, and she was certain that most of the knights here were twice as intelligent as resourceful as them. "But, like us, they're segregated into groups and don't all serve the same leader, or am I completely missing the point?"

"Erm, no." Troy tried to explain as best he could, but it wasn't something he had a total grasp of himself. Sure, it had been explained to him maybe a thousand and ten times before, but listening is hard. "Like, the Chronos Pages protect the Surroundin', and then them other Knights protect whatever planets and things they belong to, and whatever princesses them planets have. The Surroundin' has Princess Chronos. And like that pretty lady up there in the dress has a few Knights of whatever planet she's from." He couldn't remember Polaris's name for the life of him. "Right, Princess Prius?"

"I don't think we should jump to assumptions of all royals having knights. To be honest, Polaris, here.... I haven't seen any knights that belong to her planet directly." He paused looking at Troy before back to Tsui, "It's possible they haven't woken up yet but, I'm pretty sure Polaris would know if she had knights.... and uh... would've told me." There was that awkward pause of .... oh wait not everyone knows we're together...............
He fumbled trying to think of how to explain that he would know if she had knights or not but instead chose to change the subject to something less, flustering. "Yes we are your Allies. We wouldn't be here if we weren't." He answered looking around, "Knights as it's been said have a different energy signature than senshi and negas...."
He paused again thinking, "...... Teccchiinaallyy I think we don't have to uh follow the leader we serve as we pledge to protect the planet we're from.... that is to say if they were uh corrupted I would hope I wouldn't have to follow suit as I'd rather die.... But that's just me personally.... and uh... without an actual figure to follow.... I kinda follow whoever I feel like... since like Hug-bell suggested earlier we haven't seen or heard from a Princess Saturn....."

"In the past...", Valhalla added to Troy's comment about what and where knights protected.
There was nothing for him to protect on Jupiter aside from an old fortress with dusty furniture and inadequate lighting. He was still sure there had to be a way to get the large chandeliers to work without candles, but he had yet to really focus on that.
He turned to Tsui to try and explain. "Knights come with an extra name attached to their wonder. Don't think about rank titles... maybe that will help. I'm Valhalla of Jupiter. He's Troy of Chronos. In my past life, Valhalla served Jupiter. But there is no Sailor Jupiter right now, nor do I feel bound to the past. Troy, on the other hand has a Princess he serves under today, just as the Troy of the past would have served Chronos. But unlike Jupiter, a planet, Chronos watches over the Surrounding, which... would be easier to explain if you saw it," he said, feeling as though he couldn't properly describe just what the Surrounding was. He glanced to Troy and Concordia to help him if they thought he was explaining it wrong.
"As for who serves who... I think it's all a matter of personal opinion. Babylon of Mercury would have served Mercury in the past, just as Valhalla served Jupiter. Today, we're part of the same group with no leader, but equality for all members. We protect Earth and those who live here... Sutai of Polaris... would... serve under... Polaris..." he added, glancing warily towards the stage where Princess Polaris stood, although Niflhel just said that knights of Polaris were unknown. That was strange... Maybe Sutai confused her own planet? She was kinda flighty... But he figured it was a past thing, once again. "I hope that helps...?"

Once again, she was grateful to have been on good standings with some members of the Jovians, as Valhalla's explanation, tied in with Niflhel's explanation, made a lot of sense to Tsui. While she was still eager to see a demonstration of one of their abilities, she figured that it would be probably delayed the meeting and didn't push that issue. Now, she was beginning to understand one aspect that she was clueless about, and she felt a bit of her pride beginning to crack as she addressed Valhalla. "So, besides Earth, you really have no where else to go... yeah, I suppose I could understand the problem that would cause if the Negaverse wanted to kick all of us off Earth..."
Then, of course, there was what Hug-Bell and others had pointed out about families they'd be forced to leave behind. That would have been troublesome, of course, but Tsui said nothing aloud in regard to this. The topic at hand wasn't about space exploration, now was it? It was about the Knights, and Tsui figured that she'd simply have to pull Hug-Bell aside at the end of the meeting to address this issue and apologize.
Still, she was not going to give up the hope of diplomacy and possible intel gathering, but it was just something that she would have to do on her own time. So, once again, she looked to Polaris and Niflhel. "So, what would we as Senshi need to do to help the Knights out? Besides provide support in battle- that's a given, I think."
