Leighton sniffled as the last of his tears came out. He looked over at Lilly, who's lip was still trembling from trying to hold in tears. He pulled her into a hug, knowing that Lilly preferred being held when she cried.

Suki sighed, and stood up. "I'll be right back." Suki wandered into the kitchen, dirty dishes in hand. One more sob escaped her throat, and a few more tears slid down her cheeks. Looking at the clock on the wall, Suki realized how late into the day it was. 'Almost noon...'

For a moment Lilly wondered about the man with wings she had seen who had been shot by Riku. But the thoughts escaped her as she let go of Leighton and went back to her spot. "What's going to happen tonight?" she asked.
Leighton sighed. "I don't know, Lilly." he said with a frown. He then noticed that Riku wasn't talking to him any more. Hopefully it would stay that way. Back in the gates of fire, Leighton was the more demonic one believe it or not. Riku was the one who was kind and wished to be an angel rather than a demon. Why was he doing this?

Suki put her dishes into the sink and walked back into the living room. "It's already quarter to noon." She said, flopping into the loveseat again. Looking at the two others, Suki looked at both. "We need a plan, and weapons." A quick glance at the basement door gave Suki inspiration. "And I have both. The plan is half way there, but the weapons are my expertise. And Lily, while we're in public, it's best that you look like a creature of the night. You can be a vampire or something that usually looks human." Suki raised an eyebrow and thought of the many disguises she could put together for Lily.

Leighton rubbed his eyes once more and sat back on the sofa. "I have my own weapon." as he spoke, a large black scythe appeared against the sofa. It had beautiful engravings on it that glowed at Leighton's touch. His wife had made the designs, that was her specialty.
Lilly dropped her jaw at the weapon. "Wicked!" she complimented. Leighton chuckled. She wondered what creature she could be. "I want to be like Leighton." she said to Suki.

Suki smiled. "Demon it is." Running upstairs, Suki guessed Lily's size. Grabbing a pair of blacks skinny jeans and a deep purple shirt. Wings would be the harder part. "Maybe a potion or something to make her grow some..." Suki thought out loud, grabbing a pair of boots from her closet floor. Running back down, Suki smiled and handed the stuff to Lily. "You can change in the bathroom, or upstairs. I'll get your hair done when you come back." Suki said, eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. Turning to Leighton, Suki raised and eyebrow. "You wouldn't know how to painlessly apply wings to Lily would you?" Suki asked, looking through a drawer for some contact lenses that would make Lily's already purple eyes even a brighter shade of the color. "I can't think of anything."

Lilly jumped from the sofa and took the clothes. She ran into the bathroom and began changing. Excitement rushed through her body.
Leighton sighed as he stood. "There's no way to make real wings with out it hurting. The wings will tear through her skin, but afterwards there won't be any pain. She'll just be sore for awhile." he replied. "Isn't there some potion to make her grow wings?" he asked.

Suki nodded. "Yeah." Suki went to another drawer and grabbed a comb. "It's down stairs. I'll get it in a minute." Suki looked at Leighton. "Do you approve of this? Basically turning her into a creature of the night? I know she doesn't have anything left, but this an extreme, even for me."

Leighton frowned. "Well, I know she's interested and wants to be one. But the potion wears off." he paused. "Right?" he looked at her with concern.
Lilly popped out of the bathroom and waltzed over. She spun, showing all angles of small and fit figure. "Well? What do you think so far?" she asked.
Leighton forced a smile, and gave a thumbs up. "Halfway there, Kagle." he replied to her.

Suki shook her head. "It's permanent." She said, only to turn and smile at Lily. "It looks great!" Suki nodded enthuastically, walking around Lily with the look of a fashion designer. Taking a safety pin, Suki took a sleeve of the shirt and cuffed it up to Lily's shoulder, giving it a ruffled appereance. Turning to Leighton, Suki raised an eyebrow. "I'm going to put her hair in a french twist and I'm teasing the bangs. Smokey eye with the same shade of purple, and nothing for the lips. Should the sleeves stay loose or like this?" Suki laughed, knowing that it was too much information to make this simple decision.

Alex looked out from his cabin window. The sun was about to go down. Observing his wing, he noted that it would take a lot of extra force to fly due to his wound. He sighed as he went to lay down on the old bed.

Leighton forced a smile. "Whatever you think looks best." he replied. Lilly did a quick twirl in excitement.
She sighed. "This is so awesome." she looked at the book that was slid partially out of her bag. "I still can't believe this is all real." she added, her face growing more serious. She then thought about how she had seen Alex getting hurt by the figure. How were they going to find him and Scarlett? She shooed away the thoughts and focused back on now.

Suki sighed and quickly did Lily's hair, making it look elaborate and sophisticated, yet simple. "So this is the kind of life you want? One with us?" Suki asked as she was teasing the bangs. Her eyes were soft and curious, sparkling with intensity. "Because once it happens, there is no turning back. Ever." She continued to Lily's makeup, finishing in seconds. Suki took a step back to admire her work and glanced at Leighton for his approval.

Lilly bit her lip in thought. What does she have to lose at this point? She could go to her apartment and get her prized possessions later. After a few silent moments, she nodded her head. "Yes, it is." she replied.
Leighton nodded with a small smile. "You look great, Kagle." he complimented. Lilly kind of reminded him of Kyree, just by the way her make-up and hair was done. "Great job." he said to Suki.

Suki nodded and smiled. "Okay. Now for the hard part. Come with me." Suki grabbed Lilly's hand and pulled her into the kitchen. "Wings are going to be an interesting add on. You'll be sore of course, and when the first spurt it won't be exactly paradise either. But after that, they'll be yours to keep for your lifetime." Suki explained as she hurried around the kitchen, grabbing random bottles or oddly colored powders and liquids. Taking an empty flask, she dumped some of each substance, concentrating hard. Suki put a cork into the opening on top and shook with lightning speed. Only seconds later, slight sizzles could be heard from the flask. Suki smiled at Lilly and handed her the flask and a wine glass. "Bottom's up." She winked and sat down, patting the chair next to her.
