Being away from Senente and Raiku for a night wasnt as bad as it was thought, the night started simple with following the list and having to have Sakura punish Yuki how Raiku usually did but that time Yuki learned well not to get mad with her anymore, Sakura had hands of steel and after that she learned well. Soon Naruto juked around with a show of random funny faces that the girls laugh nonstop as each turned to another but Saskuke and Sakura wernt as ammused seeing it almost everyday, next was dinner Senente left for them to finish making....hot udon and vegetables which wasnt the girl's most favorite thing to eat but Sakura had a way to trick them and somehow Naruto made it into a game sticking the carrot on his teeth making fun that he had carrot fangs. After a bath it was bedtime, Everest went easily falling asleep but the trouble started with Yuki as she played keep away as all three were trying to catch her while trying to catch whatever she knocked down and she snarled and his till she got to the top of the fridge where it ended. It was still puzzling why when Sakura had her she was trying to squirm out hissing wildly but when Naruto took her Yuki automatically stopped,to her he was like a older brither more then a friend, she could tell him anything and learned from him from time to time, besides pulling tricks she learned a few morals and advice gain more self esteem to herself. Morning crept into the window as the girls slowly stirred as the light came near the bed, Everest was wrapped in the covers like she always did when she roll and Yuki was sleeping upside down with her foot on the back of Everest's head but they seemed comfortable so they were fine as long as they wernt hissing at each other which still continued maybe as just a little rivaly like siblings have. Yuki woke up and kicked Everest on accident and she starts to yell and they go at it with Everest finishing it by pulling Yuki's ponytail and biting her arm, she yelps and tells her shes telling daddy and runs off. Raiku and Senente were still asleep in their rooms till the sounds of tiny footsteps and crying into Raiku's room,"Ahhh.....Daddy! daddy, daddy,daddy!!" Yuki kept screaming trying to get his attention but forgotten he was a heavy sleeper and jumped on his bed.

Not wanting to deal with anything else she climbed on the chair and curled up tightly to settle down, Yuki forgotten it was summer now so there was no need to be up so early anymore till school again so the sleeping schedule was going to be off for the first week. About a couple hours pass and Yuki started to get restless not wanting to sleep, carefully she crept out and went downstairs to make a little breakfest since she watch Senente so many time cooking it looked easy so she wanted to give it a shot at making something herself. During school Senente made either riceballs or mochi she sweetened with honey or berries and Yuki decided she'll by a crack at making mochi as she started to take out the things she saw her do and mimic it, first was the rice she started to pour in a bowl slowly overflowing till it reached the floor but scrapped off some from the top and added the water which ended up flooding the sink.


Next Yuki place it in a pot and put the burner on too high but waited for the rice to boil and with a herb mallet started to mash up the rice till it became a paste splattering it on the stove and counters. "This is easy I can make mochi too just like mommy can!....I'm a good girl!" Yuki laughed as she reached for a spoon carefully putting half the mochi on a plate and started to make the balls patting them till they were bigger then her hands giggling slight but looked up smelling something bad. Yuki had forgotten she had mochi still in the pot and at a high heat it was starting to burn turning it pure black, she jumps off the table and tries to reach the dial but was too small to reach and started to panic as smoke filled the kitchen,"Yikes I need to find umm...umm.. I got it!" reaching a wash cloth she tried to swing the pot off but the clith was went and caught on the eye and started to catch fire, Yuki started to whine at she saw the fire spread on the stove and started to pat the fire with her bare hands but she burns herself each time she reaches for the flames and quickly backs away with her hands covering her mouth knowing she was going to be in a lot of trouble.

Senente had the girls wait by the peir for Naruto while she boarded with Raiku to the hosptal getting him to breathe a little on his own,Yuki looks down sitting feeling the bandages on her arms and hands feeling sorry what happened,Everest looked at her,"At least were all ok so far,Raiku will get better and they'll be home soon.....but still you should of-" "I know already! I was suppose to call for one of them to wake up but I thought I was doing a good job making something myself.....but I just couldnt reach thing."

Yuki had tears in her eyes as they both wait finally seeing Naruto behind them staring at Yuki's burns. "I heared what happened, are you two ok, by the looks of it you definatly got hit Yuki," He gently toched her hand but she yelped a little with it still hurt and turned shaking and crying,"C'mon, lets take you guys over...Everest you'll be staying with Saskuke since he cant handle Yuki like I can."

She nods and one they got on the city pier headed to Saskuke's, he answers looking at Naruto then looked down thinking the worst seeing the girls especially Yuki,"So....watching the girls I see? what happened to Yuki's arms and hands?" "There was an accident and she got burned, Raiku try to get her out of the house where it caught fire and he's in the hospital now taking in too much smoke so she held me responsible with these guys till they get home later tonight....but I think Everest will do better with you, I can take Yuki." Saskuke nods in understanding and picks up Everest with Naruto saying he'll keep him posted when the two will be back and they were on their way.

They make it to his house,"Were here just watch your step I havent really had time to clean." Yuki looks around and was surprised it got worse since the last time, it felt like one step and she would be lost amongs the filth. Naruto takes out a bundle he hid in his jacket and gave it to Yuki...it was the jacket she snatched, she was surprised as he started to laugh,"I knew you had this for awhile but I was going to give it to ya later....I thought this would make you happy, I grabbed it from the house before getting you." The next few hours Naruto tried to comfort her but she was still feeling bad that she started everything and brought Raiku to the hospital hurt, he sits next to her wrapping her in his arms,"You know.....yes you did start the fire but think of this, Raiku wont be mad at you as bad think of it....if he didnt love you he wouldnt have risk his life to get you he could of left you but no.....he loves you too much to hate you...do you understand." Yuki thought about it and he was right, she knew she did something wrong but she learned now that if she was up and wanted to eat she had to wake up one of them or make something that didnt have to due with cooking."


Naruto looks to the time and figures out something to make her happy,"Hey you lets go to the bath house, I bet you love the water and then we can eat some tamagoyaki and ramen as dinner what do ya say." Yuki looked up and smiled, he gets up and takes off with her leaving a note for the others where they were and took Yuki to the bath house to calm her a little, going into the coed pool Naruto place a cold cloth on her forehead and the two plated in the soothing hot waters splashing each other and Naruto was teaching her how to swim gradually keeping hold of her and from time to time letting her go for a few seconds before she screamed and clutched onto him,"There there...I'm sorry I got you.....dont worry it shouldnt be long and Raiku and Senente will be out of the hospital and you can apologize again, they love you still but Senente is right to be disappointed but I think you learned your lesson." Yuki giggled feeling a little better and the two remain there to kill off time.

As it got dark enough the lights came on and the night people started to come around,Naruto and Yuki stayed at the bath house for almost three hours before it was time to head home, they walked home in summer kimonos he surprised her with while she bathe, a black satin kimono her size with purple flower petals and a gold moon on the back shaped like a creasant. "I thought you would like it...just like your crest back home.....I knew I had to get it for you." Yuki smiled and gave him a hug as he tied the purple obi around her waist careful not to hurt her, bathing in a special herbal oil Yuki's hand started to feel much better. "Thank you for taking me there....it was fun and the food was amazing." "Aw it was nothing, anything for my little fox girl." he smiles and pats her hair hard playing around and chased each other back home where it was quiet and getting late but what Naruto never saw was Yuki was planning once he fell asleep. Naruto made a spot on his bed for her and he too fell asleep watching her, Yuki took her chance and snuck out of his house running back as far as she could not turning back hoping what she was thinking was really true. Naruto moves around in his sleep and tries to feel for Yuki but feels nothing and wakes up alert,"Yuki?....Yuki?!.....YUKI!!!!" he looks around and sees her nowhere in the house and tries to think where she would go, dressing back into his clothes he ran out the door and headed out to Saskuke's franticly pounding on the door until he opens it half asleep and angry with Everest on his back asleep. "Naruto you idiot! do you have any idea what time is it?" "Nevermind that! have you seen Yuki?....did she come here?" Saskuke wipes his eyes a little perplexed,"What are you talking about I have Everest remember......dont tell me....you lost her didnt you, I should of known you would one of these days." The two think and go to the solution she walked to the hospital to find Senente, Naruto sighs i think your right, I did tell her to apologize again once they came back but I think they are taking a little longer.....just keep an eye on Everest....I believe she'll be over to pick her up maybe in the morning." "Whatever Naruto now if you dont mind I need to make sure this one gets some sleep....me including." They say goodnight and he heads back home thinking everything was going to be alright. Back at the pier Yuki was waiting to board on a late boat and she feels a tug on her shoulder,"Its a little late for you to be out Yuki.....does Senente know this." she looks up and it was one of the drivers smiling at her and she smiles slightly back,"She took Raiku into the city so I know there home waiting." she boards a small boat and is taken back to the house but as she came to the back where it was charred slightly she looks around. "Mommy?....daddy? are you home....anyone?" her heart sank as she looked around and realized it was only her and the thoughts of earlier played in her head,"Daddy.....daddy is hurt more then i thought and its my fault......hes not home nor is mommy.....i'm by myself." Yuki started to cry as she dragged her kimono and herself up the stairs and looks to Raiku's room that was slightly picked up from yesterday and cries harder, she was missing her father and seeing things remind her of him bringing more guilt ot her. Carefully she stuggled to climb onto his bed and snuggled close on his pillow trying to feel comfort and drifted to sleep tears in her eyes."

Yuki starts to dream back from the morning and it started ok till the fire, she was in the kitchen trying to put out the flames as much as she could blisters starting to form on her hands,"This hurts it wont stop I need some help." Yuki backs away as the flames grew bigger and see the smoke get closer and starts to cough from the thick fumes, unable to see she opened the broom closet and huddled in hoping it would stop but hears the roar get louder and wood coming down and sees the glow of orange grow louder. Her body was hurting from the burns and she was crying and coughing as the closet filled with smoke, it was getting hard to see till she hears Raiku and the door opening automactily grabbing on to his leg as he picked her up and ran for an exit. This nightmare however was altering into something worse....just as they reack the livingroom the fire spreaded towards the opening and they were trap but a small opening for Yuki to fit but she was clung onto Raiku not wanting him to let go but he loosens her grip and takes her by the waist he kisses her cheek and throws Yuki into the opening in the window landing in the bushes,"Daddy no! you cant......daddy!" Yuki continues to shout out but the fire grows till she no longer sees Raiku and screams out loud trying to go back but the wood collaspe onto her and she cries out as she feels the burns. In reality she was tossing and screaming in her sleep alerting Naruto and sees her fighting her dream and tries to cuddle with her to wake up,"Yuki hey hey hey....its alright your safe....wake up c'mon girl." Yuki wakes up eyes wide tears streaming gasping for breath, Naruto lifts her and pats her back to get her to breathe normal till he hears a cough and she settles down,"You had a bad dream didnt you.....just you remember Yuki daddy is gonna be alright, hes in a safe room getting better every second.....you'll see daddy real soon I promise. Naruto got up to get some water for Yuki to settle her down, he came back and help her drink till it was half done and huddled with her taking his jacket off deciding he was gonna came here so he didnt have to worry about having to bother Yuki as she slept. Looking at her in her kimono he smiled thinking how cute she was wrappen in all that satin sleeping peacefully,"You know something, since we met it felt like you were like you could be my little sister that I can get along with very well....that would be something there." He kissed her cheek and settled in with her and the two slept with him holding close to Yuki like he didnt want to let go fearing she would disappear from his sight again....Naruto was protecting her through the night."

Yuki stirred as the sun hit her face and woke to see she forgotten where she was, it wasnt till she saw the bed covers she realized she was in Raiku's room,"Daddy.........hes not here." tears start to form in her eyes as the emptiness in her heart was starting to grow not knowing when her mother or father would be back....she wanted to have someone hug her. Looking at the bed she sees Naruto asleep and she starts to remember the night at the bath house and how happy he was when she was twiling in her new kimono in the moonlight, as they walk home they visit a field filled with fireflies that danced around them landing on Yuki's nose as she squeeks happy and he watches her run around catching them,"That was.....it was like a dream but it wasnt I'm wearing the kimono now." Yuki sees Naruto and climbs back feeling alone and kisses his forehead waking him. "Hey you......you wandered off on me...dont scare me like that." He gets up and stretches and lays back down as he sees its still morning not being one to rise early but before he laid down again Naruto picked up Yuki and bound her with his arms keeping her close, the past few days he seemed to have developed a bond with her that was like it was his job to make sure she never got hurt or was sad.....he wanted to make her as happy as he could being only a friend to her but inside he felt like Yuki's older brother watching over her. "Hey why dont you lay down some more.....its still pretty early and I dont want you to scurry around with how it was." "Ok...I'll be a good girl and lay back down....see you later.....and-" Yuki fell back asleep with him holding her as they both fall back asleep before he whispered,"Atta girl Yuki....dream well." The wind started to blow the leaves through the open window and one flies in landing on the top of Yuki's kimono and moving right between the two. They were almost like each other so much even to the point they would sleep the same time as long as the other. He feels a chill and hears Yuki in her sleep and pulls the cover closer on them as the sun shined on and move up.

Yuki felt nudging from the attempt to wake Naruto and looked up to see her mother Senente, her vision was a little off as she tried to adjust to the sunlight and realize it was her and started to get excited but something didnt feel right. Senente had a stare look on her face that Yuki tried to think but knew it wasnt good and slowly sat up,"Mommy I know your really mad at me....I should of known better and after seeing what happened....daddy got hurt and I ruined the house....I know a sorry wont work this time but I'm still upset." Yuki knew it wasnt much to say but she was trying her best knowing all this time her guilt to have everything go back but what was done was done and all she wanted was her father to be alright and come back. She knew Raiku ment everything to Senente and when this happened the blame was easily on Yuki since it was her that was the cause of it, thinking that Yuki looks to the covers then to her kimono in deep thought starting to tear,"I sensed something in your look mommy, I dont know how but your right...its my fault,I started the fire and its my fault daddy got hurt....you have the right to be angry at me...this is the last in your eyes." Looking at her expression Yuki huddled by Naruto still asleep nearly afraid to look at her in the eyes terrified she was going to do something and all Yuki could do was hide with him and protect her.
