I'd be lying if i didn't admit I'm sad, but I have to support your decitions, thats what friends do right?
Still, I don't think thats enough to make your stay- I understand how something like the deletion would make the rp loose it's luster for you.
Besides, your got more important things taking up your time, i had that period of ym life too.
It may come again in the future will my efforts to get another animation course!
Just Don't forget that our friendship doesn't stop in those forums, you can still call on me whenever you need me. send my pms, heck call me!

Our adventures maybe simulated, but the friends you made are real as any!
I'll still be here, waiting and haunting your art threads! 3nodding

Role players of Heartfelt Adventure,

I'm curious about what you think of HA. What improvements would you like to see? Any complaints, suggestions? What's your opinion on it as it stands?

Either we're doing so bloody amazing that they are speechless, or no one pays attention to the Speak Out Thread anymore. >_>

Edit: Just in case, I edited the title =w=

I don't know how else to improve it honestly.XD
I really like it the way it is, in comparison to HUNDREDS of other guilds, we seriously kick a** in my opinion, then again I could be bias.

Oh god, finally, a chance to just say what I think about HA! Where do I even start? The writing is horrendously wonderful, the RPers are despicably lovable, the characters themselves... well damn I guess all you could say about them is they're ridiculously original and horribly creative. and the plot, oh the plot is disgustingly fantastic it's almost painful. If that doesn't get my point across I don't know what does, I'm glad we got to have this talk.

We~ll, in case it wasn't super obvious to everyone, my motivation has been fairly low recently. That's totally not the RP's fault, though.

I don't know what else to say. HA seems to be going really well from my perspective, especially considering how long its lifespan has been.

I'll try to step it up myself. Of course, I keep saying that. . .

Seems like ever since Rae left there's been no issues at all everything is going just golden with very little dissent as far as I can tell, epic plots are moving along, and no one (again, as far as I can tell) is being wrongly persecuted or whatever the hell else was going on when the Speak Out Thread was used pretty much daily. My only thing is that HA isn't moving anywhere near as fast as it used to (I believe we used to go through like two pages a day), but that just means everyone can keep up and there's less risk of missing parts of posts and things. I'm gonna back pretty much everyone else up here: I don't see how things could possibly improve. heart

I might be quitting HA soon.

I've stepped down as an HA moderator, because of a few complaints that I don't look over abilities and approve them. As far as abilities are concerned, I'm very, very upset that everyone has so gosh darn many of them. Abilities used to be... special, back in the day (and yes, I am old enough to say that), and now they're just an all you can eat buffet. You don't earn them in HA.

Good roleplayers take what abilities they have, and use them even if they'll lose in a certain situation. For example, all the good roleplays I've been in only allowed people to start out with a set number of abilities, that they could make up, and the abilities were approved or disproved at the RP Creator's discretion. Usually, all the normal players started out with three attack abilities, and two or so support abilities. We didn't make 25 abilities and scratch out the ones we couldn't use, and this for several reasons; first, everyone could see what abilities you would have in the future, and work their abilities around to 'thwart' you; second, people often change their minds about what abilities they want, and once they're up there, they are, or ought to be, set in stone. It's a headache, a headache I say, to constantly change around 25 abilities from 25 different roleplayers, give or take a few.

If that's hard to comprehend, consider, if you will, that not everyone has such inexhaustible energy as Kyle.

Take this into consideration as well: Kyle does not have inexhaustible energy. I got sick and tired of HA a long time ago, and not from its players and the people I roleplay with. I'll explain why more fully in the next paragraph. Kyle is the only reason I stayed in HA. Now, before you get your panties in a bunch, or grossly misread that, let me draw your attention to what I've pointed out. Kyle, despite what even he may think, does not have inexhaustible energy, and no, he is not capable of running HA on his own. It will die if he doesn't let someone help him. Kyle... is a hard person to help. He literally takes on all of the work, in a sort of one man army kind of way, which I can only assume is some sort of guy complex to conquer the mountain and do things by his might alone, or whatever. I don't know, honestly; maybe he's just OCD like that. Anyway. I may come across as a b***h to him sometimes, and really, sometimes I'm exactly that, but sometimes, a lot of the time, like, it seems the only way to get his attention. I don't want HA to die. I don't want HA to go at a snail's pace. I don't want Kyle to roleplay all of the key characters. I've "helped out" by pointing out when he needs to get things moving. Like, that's it. The roleplay doesn't move without Kyle. Other HA mods cannot move it. We don't have the characters, and we don't fully understand the plots that we're on to do it effectively. Also, and here's a catch 22, everyone expects Kyle to be the one to move things along, and the other mods have lost all sense of responsibility for the roleplay, because hey, Kyle will do it. To explain a bit more of that, I'll add this. Kyle's a scary person when you mess with things he has control of. He's put himself in a position where you must ask him before doing anything, which is good, co-runners of a roleplay should always communicate with each other before doing anything, but with a cast of characters this immense, other co-runners should be in charge of specific areas to lighten the workload, and keep things running on time and smoothly. You can't control everything, you can't make all the plots, you can't do all the time skips, you can't control every villain (main or not), you can't flesh out all the areas. You'll burn yourself out, already have, and HA will die. For God's sake, if you insist on being in charge of the "round" table, delegate. Let someone else plan a plot for a world, and see it through. Hell, instead of saying "This is the plot for the next world" why not ask someone you'd really like their help, and would they please come up with a plot, and you'll both hammer out the details together? If someone voices an idea for a world plot on their own, you should be ecstatic, ecstatic I say.

Now the reason I'm tired of HA, aside from nearly all of my opinions being at odds with Kyle's thoughts, and the frustration that's evident in that block of text above, I'm just tired all around. I dragged Maggie and her characters around (have nothing against her) for the longest time, and had nothing to show for it. She never came back, not really. I pretty much snapped poor Kichi's head off for inactivity, and my harsh tone left no room to doubt I wouldn't be GMing his character along. I GMed John. I got sick of GMing absent people. I took on other people's abandoned characters; Riku, Sephiroth. I actually really like Sephiroth (who wouldn't, honestly), but Riku was a chore. I never asked for him, but there he was, and I was butchering him because I couldn't stand it. So Kyle took him. That's how many characters now that he controls? Do... do people even realize that the roleplay is running solely on Kyle? There used to be a rule, a good rule, that if you were playing an Earthling, you had to play a canon as well, and both had to be active. That never meant, hey bring in a -new- canon. Geez, just look at all the energy that could be saved, the smoothness that could come, from reinforcing this rule once again, and having people play characters that are already in the roleplay that Kyle shouldn't have to control. I've suggested this idea before, this "Make everyone play a canon in addition to their Earthling", but like most all of my ideas, it's either poo pooed, or considered 'not fun' or people misinterpret it. I assume it was misinterpreted to mean new canons, when, wow that would be stupid to bring in new characters.

Semi-rant there. To continue with why I might be leaving, I'll add the main reason, here, which ties into all the other reasons, really. It's too slow. Kyle can't figure out why. I believe I've listed the reasons, and the possible solutions.

Discuss.
