Blaze coughed, a faint smile on his face. "Bell... Bella. I'm... I'm s-sorry. At... at least I got to see you again... with my sanity and emotions returned... and that you're... happy with Sephiroth." He sighed, his smile fading. "I think... I now know the pain Zack was feeling as he was dying."

About them sounded cheers from the mob as they saw him heavily wounded. Sephiroth's grip on Masamune tightened, and he held it in a ready stance. "You're cheering that someone is dying? And you all call him and me heartless! Look at yourselves! Blaze and I... in our insanity, we never cheered when we killed or attempted to kill another.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't end all of your miserable lives right now! Oh sure, your families would be grieving, your friends and loved ones. But that's what is happening right here!" he shouted, losing his calm, collected personality for the first time in his life.

"You call the two of us freaks... the real freak was Hojo. He experimented on both of us, experiments that led to our insanity. He injected me with Jenova cells when I wasn't even born yet," he continued. His green eyes flashed dangerously, as did Masamune's steel blade. "When Blaze was in a coma nine years ago, Hojo added energies from the Bahamut summon Materia to Blaze's genetic structure to cause the transformations. These experiments gave him a second personality, and slowly destroyed his emotions and sanity."

Blaze coughed once more, his Mako eyes focused on Sephiroth. "No... Sephiroth. If... if you kill them... out of hatred... you'll... you'll only be right back where you... started."

"Don't talk Blaze... it'll only drain your energy, and it would be too late to save you then," Sephiroth answered.

Frost stared in horror at the scene from inside the 7th Heaven bar, tears streaming from her eyes as she held her stomach that still pained her. She looked at Yuffie, despair in her gaze.

"Bella, stop!" Blaze shouted. His Mako eyes began to lose their luster, tears forming in their corners. "Please... don't do this. No one... no one wants to see you this way, to see you this upset. I especially don't."

"Blaze, stop talking. You're draining your energy," Sephiroth stated. He turned to look at Bella, his eyes closing.

"I don't care! I'm just going to die anyway from these wounds, might as well make sure it's quick and there's less pain to it!" Blaze snapped, annoyed. "Bella... you have so much to live for. Don't throw all of it away."

"Bella... don't... don't give into that impulse. It... won't make you feel any better. That's the thing with revenge... once it's exacted... the pain that fueled the revenge returns stronger than before, but there's no outlet for it," Blaze advised. He closed, his eyes, the tears rolling down his face.

The blond-haired girl ran out of the 7th Heaven Bar towards the mob. A light bound brought her over the crowd and into the center, where Bella, Blaze and Sephiroth stood, and she wrapped her arms around Blaze's neck. "No... you can't die. Please..."

"I'll go after her. Frost, do you think you can heal Blaze if I give you this Curaga Materia?" Sephiroth asked. A nod from her caused him to throw the green orb to the woman, and she caught it. With that, he flew off with his ebony angel wing flapping through the air.

As the mob began to close in on Frost and Blaze, the woman stood tall, as leathery wings appeared from her back, their sapphire blue membranes billowing. "If I were you... I'd flee." The rest of her body changed to resemble Blaze's, though more slight in frame, and ice blue and sapphire blue as opposed to scarlet and black.

"Bella, wait!" Sephiroth shouted. He flew gracefully through the air, searching for the girl flying through the clouds.

The mob decided not to take their chances. Aggression coming from Sephiroth, Bella, and now a dragon... they felt it was time to leave. With groans of relent, they scattered away, and the dragoness shifted back into her previous form. She placed the Curaga Materia on her arm, weaving her hands through the air. "Curaga."
