Darestrum Fenrir Graveheart Darestrum Fenrir Graveheart Darestrum Its like you expect me to have seen every Romance movie. I've only recently began to watch movies again, I stopped watching TV entirely since grade 9 So i've rarely watched movies for awhile. I'm just gonna take that as a no, and say that you just proved my point...... ........you need to watch more movies, my young padawan. stare Why they only give a few hours of entertainment..then they end and depending if they were good they might make a crap sequel to it... In that case whats the point of video games? Whats the point of story books? Whats the point of theatre? Whats the point of art? Whats the point of music? I mean do I really have to sit here and tell you why movies are important, or how they impact our culture and state of mind? Video games, endless entertainment that you can reply. Story books, slabs of paper that can sometimes make you a character into a whole new world if you have the imagination and some times leaves you to make your own ending. Theater are the same as movies but they hold auditions and the people who get in get to have fun and put on a show for the rest of us. Art, the sense of inspiration and creativity in many forms that can stay imbedded in your mind for ages. Music the source of creativity and emotion where when you listen to it it can change your over-all mood and energy of the day. Then theres movies, a self made story were you can only watch, much like Theaters except you dont get the physical satisfaction of seeing the real people acting. Theres a major difference in movies and what i jut explained. Movies have a wider variety and sometimes they can be poorly made with crappy actors and directors. It takes a true genius to make a good movie with out special effects. Just look at the old movies, They used Make up and other creative ways to actually make a good movies rather then just computer animation. I could go on but I dont want to go out on a whole rave of why i think movies now suck compared to movies in the past razz Exactamundo darestrum-san. 3nodding Though to be fair people get inspired and find sources of creativity and topics for friends and social interactions from different things. Personally I get inspired from movies more than I do anything else so thats its importance to me. Hell if you look at the right source you can find that I pay tiny tributes to some of my favorite movies and characters through my writing, especially in this guild. For example, the quote in Fenrir's posting format " Only through howls of lust and fury did he begin to find his sense of worth." is actually a quote from Conan the Barbarian. emotion_awesome

It had excellent usage of animatronics, it made it loads more scary and thrilling than many of todays monster horror films that rely on CGI. I don't know, I prefer animatronics than todays CGI...animatronics seem more....errr.....real?

Plus it gives the actor more of a situation to deal with, rather then just being told to act as if it was there...
